Career › Re: Beng(chemical), Internship In Shell, & Msc (petroleum) Abroad, Still Jobless: by mildteddy(m): 10:17pm On Jul 01, 2015
Jarus:
World class oil companies like Shell, Chevron etc don't recruit anytime, anyhow. They have a well-structured, timed recruitment process. You can't just enter Shell or Chevron premises, drop your CV(even with their HR, not to talk of gatemen) and say you are looking for job. I know much about Shell having gone through their recruitment process before, and I can tell you that their graduate recruitment process is globally coordinated, and in most cases once in a year. Their recruiment process starts with advert placed in top national dailies, then you fill forms online(that itself is an academic exercise that took me almost a week to complete), then an a rigorous about 2-hour interview is scheduled for the shortlisted applicants under 3 criteria called CAR(Capability, Achievement and Relationship skills) and for the technical positions, there is the fourth called Technical skills. Then if you scale through that stage, you will be invited for the final stage called SRD(Shell Recruitment Day), a full day activity where you will be grouped with 5 or 6 other candidates to practically demonstrate your skills(through teamwork, interactions, ideas on an imaginary project, brainstorming, press conference etc) a la reality show, and you will be observed while this lasts. If you scale through that thorough stage, then you medicals follow.

So in essence, most standard oil companies don't just take one CV and invite you for selection process, except it is for experienced hire. They have time and a standardized graduate recruitment process. Even with your masters and your 7 months internship, you are not yet qualified for experienced hire.

So whoever resolves to join oil company needs patience. It is banks that recruit almost every week.

I can see the hand writing on the wall, Obiano should be very careful, altho we Anambrarians are greater than any challenge... Egwu adighi atu afo o buru uzo.

If those prisoners are truly in Anambra, like a virus they will spread their network amognst their followers in the east, it is like openng a new terrorist cell, because the prison in Ekwulobia is esly penetratable. This will make Anambra their Eastern n Southern HQ.

If Obiano don't control the traders, with time they must eventually bomb down the prison with help of MASSOB. This will make Buhari to act faster than Boko Haram by sending military power and might to the East to quench the "lesser evil" MASSOB. This will help him to easily introduce his friendly Anti-Igbo programmes.

The best way to get out of this mess is not using force of being looku looku. If truly those prisoners are there, an assasin should be employed to silently kill them all, either by poisoning or? But let there be no bombing or mass action. Let it be an action of few individuals. Let's know if Buhari will send Shakarau to us.

Personally, after my experiences with NLNG, I will tell you to forget that you ever had any interview with them, because obviously they have forgotten that they ever interviewed you.
NLNG is about the epitome of the ethical decadence in most Nigeria owned institutions.
In my first year in school when I applied for their 'scholarship' my story was the same as yours. No text or email to acknowledge reciept or even to reject it, just nothing.
In fourth year when I just convinced myself that they have changed and decided to try them out again for internship, the story is still the same. This time they acknowledged reciept, I never heard from them again, ever!

They are known for this charade they pass out to cover the underground thing going on inside the company. Bloody Nepotist!

Forget them and move on bro. Experience is the best teacher.
(If they later get back to you, fine, but do not take them seriously from henceforth)

Politics › Re: Genocide: Ihejirika Is Guilty. by mildteddy(m): 3:48pm On Jun 05, 2015
MalcoImX:
Why are you singling out an individual to defend? In all accusations he wasn't the only one accused. There's more to this affair that you and I don't know. I cannot at my level fault AI's or Stephen Davis' submissions. Whoever is accused, I am sure is troubled, and the best way to serve his course is to defend himself before established national and international institutions.
Hehehehe.
Bro, international politics is deep and no one would blame anybody that tries to distance himself from any involvement. It is clear and I can agree with you that things are not always as they may seem (Remember when Uhuru Kenyatta was summoned by ICC)

If Ihejirika and others (like you pointed out) gets allowed by Nigerians to appear before ICC, then we might as well, forget about ever winning this war against BH. ICC will dictate to us how to fight BH (that ICC and AI themselves can never dream of dictating how they fight Nigeria; not killing us). Our generals will be scared of fighting BH for fear of being dragged to ICC thereafter. They will be demoralized!

This is not what we want. Amnesty International has no business in how we are trying to survive in our war against terrorist in our own home. If they really care about Nigerians, then they should give us better reasons for taking our honourably retired force-men to ICC.
I am sure that AI counted on our (Nigerians') lack of common voice, especially when it comes to what-part-of-the-country-the-person involved is from.
Given this sensitive times we are in, if AI has genuine concern, then it would be something else that will help us out, not by trying our generals when we still have a bloody war going on!
Politics › Re: Genocide: Ihejirika Is Guilty. by mildteddy(m): 1:56pm On Jun 05, 2015
MalcoImX:
You are the slavish goat. Isn't that echoing what Amnesty International is saying, that you don't kill extra-judicially. Ihejirika and others are paying and going through this wahala for being unprofessional and doing it their way.
You and your oga failed to show those words as you used them "in quotes", just like the way you failed to understand what he meant by the idiomatic 'dogs and baboons soaked in blood.' 75% or more of the three posts you referred to have their reports in quotation marks and nowhere were the words "Stop killing Boko Haram" in quotation marks, unless you want me to infer out of context. Buhari too is going to kill Boko Haram, but being a professional with foresight he's going to do it in such a way (in accordance with the constitution) that tomorrow won't be a hell for him.
Obviously, you are blinded by something. I don't know what it is but it appears that it is strong enough to blot out memory as well.

Take your time and try to find out the effectiveness of Ihejirika's campaign against BH. Find out how many territories BH claimed when he was in charge... Fighting terrorism has nothing to do with conventional war games. Ihejirika protected millions of people with his VERY unconventional techniques and it WORKED and WE Nigerians are grateful for that.
If Amnesty International really think they have a case with Ihejirika, then Nigerians would be really grateful if they take him to court because he retired when we needed him most and Thousands of people died because of THAT and Hundreds of Thousand were chased away from their HOMES by BH. That is what they should charge him for!

What this Amnesty International report had to do with tribe is beyond me , loons like Igbo fermenting trouble to me.
What would men included in the case who are not from southeast say!
AI should've beat around the bush a little bit, in order to make it less obvious... if they had done that, then this your question would've been a little bit relevant and 'answer-deserving'.

It isn't even a proof really (in the strictest of terms).

If you are going to do this:

(10 - 10) / (10 - 10) = 1 (the premise on which his "proof" stood)

then there was no need for the whole rigmarole. You might as well do this:

0 / 0 = 1

Even at this point:

(10 + 10) * (10 - 10)
------------------------
10 * (10 - 10)

where he cancelled out the (10 - 10), why not do this:

0 (10 + 10) 0
- = ---------- * -
0 10 0

Obviously now, the equation is not even making any sense. But let us further make more nonsense out of nonsense:

If you cancelled out the 0/0 on both sides:

1 = (10 +10) / 10 or 1 = 2

That makes a lot of sense doesn't it? grin
lol cheesy
Dude, you just murdered the whole thing.
Anyways, I think he deserves some credit for giving the 0/0 thing a 'new' twist and getting some people here mathematically active. The proof may be a form of intellectual 'masturbation' for the poster, but it is a rather stimulating one. (I learnt something here today believe me)
Education › Re: Photo: See How A Mathematician Proved 0 Divided By 0 Equals 2 by mildteddy(m): 9:38pm On May 10, 2015
THE PROOF is limited but correct!
0/0 can be equal to anything, that's why mathematicians say that it is 'undefined'. 'undefined', could be taken to mean any number within the range (-infinity to +infinity)
