Happie Feast day to you all folks. There's no bigger love, no greater fun. Post with the hash-tag: #I_am_a_SCOBA on Facebook, nairaland, twitter, instagram, whatsapp, anywhere, everywhere. If you are not a SCOBA but love SCOBAs, You're welcomed too. Let's get the internet hailing great SCC; moulder of men. Hailing our fond memories, hailing all, hailing St. Charles. Peace to you my brothers. Cheers. |
I expected myself to be surprised by some comments I see here, but I wasn't. Maybe it's because I've been made aware of what Jesus Christ said to his disciples, when they asked home why he speak to people in parables. His answered " The reason I use parables in talking to them is that they look, but do not see, and they listen, but do not hear... most of the ppl saying "rubbish, this that, whatever..." didn't even bother to read the post. they just saw catholic there, sighed and went ahead to comment. My advice, go through the posts, verify the links. Nobody is asking you to believe in the catholic faith and with 1.3 billion faithfuls, the catholic church is too big to indulge in any petty lies. verify and be marvelled. while you're at it, you might wanna see the shroud of Turin. Cheers. |
#Crazily_Igbo The British said that I'm a Nigerian. The Irish said that I'm a Catholic. Nigerians call me Ibo, meanwhile . . . . . . . . . . God created me, an Igbo. |
9inches: Wtf u did with your nameSCOBAship runs in the blood meen. Nine I see ya. Proudly Science Charlie boy till I die... If there is a Charlie University I'd be doing my second degree there... Floreat in aeternum! Thanks to Obi for transforming my alma-mater meen, though he wiped of my name on the wall during repainting ,but it's still a good! |
U can barely tell if a girl is fine or ugly when you turn of the light, they're all .... 'the same' |
Good Job. Must be tough tasking your memory to remember all these. You omitted Oyetade and Funmilayo though (oh I love that name, though I don't know the meaning, lol). Good Job, good Job. |
femogbangba: There is a difference between Optimism and Realism. What you prefer is a miracle. And it has to happen in the night, such that when you wake up, all these things you listed will become reality. Development is a process. One step at a time. That's why economist insists that it is 'Economic growth'. Graduates don't have jobs, standard of living is poor, our currency is over-inflated, corruption is killing us, etc. but guess what our GDP just increased by close to a double-digit (thanks to the hardwork of the citizens, not the leaders). That's a step forward bro, a progress. One step at a time. Besides our under 17 boys aren't over-aged, go and re-watch the matches and find out, don't always be 'a Thomas'. |
This news may appear false, but it is possible, as long as It doesn't say that PH is finer than Durban. I don't know why some people never get optimistic about Nigeria's future, even after what happened yesterday. Wake up people! Your country is undergoing metamorphosis. |
tyson99: Msscchheeww I don even forget my matric number talkless of d course am studying...(Mechanic learning on point)So on point bro, I never knew what a camshaft is, until this ASUU strike. |
rill: Gay alert!!!Silly post |
I have kept mum for long as if what is going to happen in my state on 16th November is non of my business. The truth is I get too emotional to be rational when something affects me to the core. The candidates have from time to time debated and shown their level of thinking, school of thought, political acumen and their manifesto. What needs to be done has to be done. The candidates most people are talking about are Ngige, Obiano and perhaps Ifeanyi Uba. I don't have 'beef' with them, and I don't want to. All I want to say are these: 1. I must not be a psychologist to know when somebody is being dishonest about something under the false impression of political maturity and charisma. 2. I may not be an expert in development, but a) I don't think my state needs an airport. (we may need an airfield but not an airport) b) I think we need our UN habitat city plans implemented because I don't like how Nnewi looks (like trash). c) I think we deserve to have our containers landed at onitsha port. d) I think we need our Agric sector up North in Omor booming with mechanization. e) I think our citizens deserve up to 3 or 4 primary health centers in each village. f) I think Onitsha needs a sharp sports complex to help the inhabitants ease stress after the week's hustle. g) I think greater Onitsha water scheme needs to be resurrected. h) I think Onitsha can become a hub of industrial and commercial activities and still maintain a solid environment conducive for human habitation. i) I think Awka can be a very beautiful and socially stratified city. j) I think Anambra students have very good intelligence quotient (IQ) that can make us the best in West Africa, if given the best education. k) I think that we don't need private primary and secondary schools that doesn't have sports equipment and field. l) I think we don't need a governor that will hide under the glory of what he or somebody else did in the past and not take us to the next level. m) I think our tourist sites needs to be made known to the world. n) I think our state government needs continuity and the next governor should not scrap the Integrated Development Strategy of the incumbent no matter how flawed it may have been perceived to be. o) I think our youths needs to have something doing at every point in time like JOBS. p) I think we can be whatever we want to be if we don't allow sentiments based on memories ruin our sense of judgement and our ability to make good choices. q) I think our brothers from other states in ohaneze ndigbo needs to support us and stand with us as we make this important choice for the sake of posterity. Ekene Kwaa m unu. |
ceejayluv: That.... That just sounds Gay...What doesn't sound gay for you people? Always drawing up shallow conclusions about things you know nothing about. It's now gay to compliment somebody. Get a life man. @Topic Thank God for his life. I can't start imagining how he held on all that time. The day I my thumb got stuck in a shock absorber spring for 1.5 mins, my life without my thumb just flashed right in my mind, it was pathetic. Come to think of a whole body for days, oh man. |

Ray McBlue: I don't dispute that Maybach ain't expensive, just not enough to be considered the world costliest. All settled, I guess. |
Ray McBlue: Rolls Royce Silver Ghost should be on top of the list, no more no less. The Brits sure know how to manufacture expensive luxury cars.It seems like you've not met Maybach Exelero |
AdekunleBalogun: May God continues to bless u for calling a spade a spade... This woman should not give the Igbos a bad name. Another Igbo can be nominated to replace her, no problem wit dat @all.As far as Nairaland is concerned, Easterners already have enough bad name to be worried about it. As far as democracy is concerned, if evidences so far suggests that Stella committed a crime, she should be arrested, given a fair hearing and prosecuted if found guilty. Or isint that how it should be? |
This forum is going downDon't enjoy NL no more, wenever I come across such hatred displayed here I feel very sick, like am in a very very dark place and I'm chocking
I used to feel this way too, but I don't anymore. I see all this tribalistic and ethnocentric comments here as a form of distraction by people, who the other 70% percent of the citizens (the poor ones) of this country are looking for are looking for who to blame for their predicaments. It's not coincidental that easterners are the derided ones and thus the object of blames, afterall they were the 'defeated ones'. It will only be for a while, and then it'll pass. |
geeez: It's time we allowed these people create their own country so the billboards will be appropriately captionedToo late! It's like taking medicine after death. You should've done that in 1967 |
No life lost? That's good news, but what is not is our maintenance culture - it's too poor. Imagine, the fire came from the brake lining... It's all good. KSLIB will say "Aal izz well" where the heck is that dude? |
When I remember by the Catholic choir. That song gets into my marrow. |
