Mr. Ayodele Fayose, Ekiti State Governor, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s scheduled trip to China to borrow $2 billion as part of the N1.84 trillion programmed to be borrowed to finance the 2016 budget is an attempt to mortgage the future of Nigeria and its people. Governor Fayose said the 2016 budget was not a reflection of the present economic reality in the country. “By the time they borrow N1.84 trillion to fund their N6.06 billion budget; I wonder how Nigeria will survive in 2017 when the Federal Government will be servicing debt with about 50 per cent of its budget. “It has been widely reported that Nigeria wants to raise about $5 billion abroad to cover part of its 2016 budget deficit. This was said to be projected to hit N3 trillion ($15 billion) due to heavy infrastructure spending at a time when the slump in global oil prices has slashed its export revenues. In a release Lere Olayinka, his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, issued on Friday, Fayose said: “In elementary economics, you don’t propose to spend more when your income reduces and I still can’t understand this Buharinomics in which Nigeria is going to spend N6.06 billion with crude oil benchmark of $38 per barrel when the country’s budget was N4.5 trillion in 2015 when crude oil bench mark was $53 per barrel.” The governor said that since the President Buhari claimed to have recovered and still recovering trillions of Naira looted from the treasury and over N3 trillion saved from the Treasury Single Account (TSA), the 2016 budget should be funded with the recovered fund. He warned that with the proposed N1.84 trillion borrowing, $2 billion of which President Buhari is already going to borrow in China, the nation may soon be going the way of Greece because Nigeria will be borrowing N5 billion per day for the next 365 days. “If your income was N200,000 per month last year and your expenditure was N195,000 per month; does it make any economic sense for you to propose to spend N300,000 per month this year that your income has reduced to N120, 000? “Only President Buhari can explain to Nigerians what manner of economic theory encourages borrowing of N1.84 trillion to fund a N6 trillion budget. As for me, it is nothing but a voodoo economic theory and Nigerians must take note that the income that should accrue to them in five years’ time is about to be spent in one year by the Buhari’s APC government,” the governor said. https://www.today.ng/news/national/103659/fayose-raises-the-alarm-over-buharis-china-trip-borrow-2bn |
A country that prescribes death sentence for some one that robbed with a gun, does not prescribe same for some one that killed multitudes with bombs. Jokers! oya armed robbers, stop shooting one, please bomb many, and you will not be killed when sentenced, rather you will be locked up, and if you are lucky and one from your area, becomes the president, you will be given amnesty. Nigeria! A theatre of macabre dance. |
Buharism:shut up kid.... Amnesty international office in Nigeria was opened in October 2015 headed by Ambassador Muhammed K. Ibrahim Morayo Adebayo. |
Indeed; 'an attack on BokoHaram is an attack on the North' and you know Muhamadu Buhari (the current ruler of Nigeria) is the official spokesman and unofficial leader of BokoHaram, after-all it was BokoHaram itself that officially and openly identified him as their spokesman, and he made the above statement as the official spokesman of BokoHaram. Just imagine the absurdity! The criminal justice system of the ZOO (Nigeria) prefers to try cold blooded BokoHaram murderers under a law that does not prescribe death penalty, but choose to try an advocate of self-determination/ non-violent resistance under a law that prescribes death penalty. Meaning, no matter the number of people killed or the nature or amount of atrocities committed by BokoHaram members, no member of BokoHaram will ever get the death penalty, but unarmed, peaceful, and praying IPOB member will be summarily executed by the ZOO (the Nigerian State), and everybody (including the so-called Amnesty International) carries on as if nothing happened. I only pity the BABOONS and MONKEYS who out of self-induced or congenital idiocy chose to remain perpetual slaves to the Ewusa/Fulani vagabonds, I pity them because the ZOO (Nigeria) is gonna be a damned God-forsaken place when Biafra leaves, then the BABOONS and MONKEYS will get to appreciate what it really means to be a slave in the Ewusa/Fulani ZOO |
The Attorney-General of the Federation is Abubakar Malami and Director of Amnesty is Mohammed Ibrahim. Mohammadu said an attack on boko haram is attack on the north, Muhammed now said it's illegal to execute them because they believe in one Muhammed that died a long time ago. Isn't the conspiracy very clear enough?? Buhari=bokoharam Quote me even when I am asleep. |
The Attorney General of the Federation, Mallam Abubakar Malami, said yesterday that convicted members of the Boko Haram sect in the country could not be executed because the laws under which they were tried did not prescribe death sentence. He disclosed this at the launch of amnesty’s report on Global Death Sentences and Executions 2015, in Abuja, yesterday. The attorney-general, who was represented by Sylvester Imahanobe, also promised to work with Amnesty International to stop executition of convicted criminals in the country, if the international human rights body proposed a bill to that effect. He said: “Terrorists in Nigeria are tried under the Terrorism Prevention Act which does not carry death penalty. That is why even those Boko Haram members, who have been convicted cannot be executed because the maximum sentence prescribed by the law is life sentence.” Advertisement The AGF said he would be pleased to support any bill that came from Amnesty International on the abolition of death sentence in the country, pointing out that “studies have shown that death penalty has not stopped people from committing crimes.” Malami revealed that the country was working towards ensuring that the prison system was corrective and not punitive, as it is currently. Earlier in his remarks, the Country Director of Amnesty International, Mohammed Ibrahim, said there was a “dramatic global rise in the number of executions recorded in 2015 which saw more people put to death than at any point in the last quarter-century.” He said the surge was largely fuelled by Iran, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, which brought the number of people executed worldwide to 1,634 people, a rise of more than 50 per cent on the year before and the highest number Amnesty International had recorded since 1989. https://www.today.ng/news/national/103269/why-nigeria-cant-execute-convicted-boko-haram-terrorists-agf |

ABUJA – Former president Olusegun Obasanjo Thursday displayed surprise over comments credited to the National Assembly that during his time, he signed budgets into law without seeing the details. Obasanjo said that the purveyors of the news at the National Assembly needed to be contacted the second time to prove the authenticity of the information. The former president also feigned ignorance of the travails of the senate president, Dr. Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal over false assets declaration. He spoke tacitly to the State House Correspondents after a private meeting with president Mohammadu Buhari at the presidential villa, Abuja on Thursday. The interview which was very brief but laced with humors ran thus: Purpose of visit “You know that not too long ago I was out there and I came to share some of my experiences with him.” What are those experiences ? “If I say I share experiences with my wife, will you ask what I discussed with my wife?” You were mentioned as signing budgets without the details during your time. Did the issue of budget come up in the meeting with the president? “Emm, I signed budget without details? Anybody who told you that, go and ask him again” Tell us your feelings about the 2916 budget and the issues “To be able to tell you about the budget I have to read the budget to know it contains and what it doesn’t.” The delays in signing the budget and the attendant effect on Nigerians “No. The constitution allows you to continue with the budget provided you did not go beyond the previous year and that can be done uptill the middle of the year.” http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/04/didnt-sign-budget-without-details-obasanjo/

Buhari's government is very inept. They think they can defeat market forces. Imagine the stupid logic. They saved a lot of money by starving Nigeria of necessary fuel. They should compute the losses and tell us the trade-off. Bloody assholes. |

We are currently under siege & most of us are in denial. It's not looking good at all in this country right now |
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has been accused by the Labour Party (LP) of putting the country under siege, Daily Trust reports. Alhaji Abdulkadir Abdulsalam, the national chairman of the party, on Tuesday, April 5, in Abuja said that the last 10 months of the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari had not brought ‘joy’ to the land, but fears as well as political and economic siege. Abdulsalam in a statement added that the mentality of the present administration had created a nation without coherent practice of ethics, values and processes, but excessive action, taxes and laws that prevent growth, while government’s intervention in the economy remained controversial. “APC’s ‘change’ has only been successful in the furtherance of the siege mentality, whereby Nigerians are being oppressed, isolated and manipulated in the face of the negative maneuvering of the ruling party. “The APC government despite purposeful intervention by well-meaning Nigerians, the Labour Party, civil societies and the NBA, has created a corridor of consistent flouting of the ethics of good governance, participatory democracy along sacred laws of the land in the pursuit of perceived and contrived idealism, thereby making effective opposition low, and multi-lateral thinking deficient,” the statement reads. According to ThisDay, Abdulsalam said that APC’s ‘Change’ mantra has only been successful in foisting a siege mentality, a shared feeling of victimization, defensiveness and defenselessness on the people, adding that President Buhari and his APC acolytes have consistently blamed the PDP for virtually all the woes of the nation. Apart from being useless, this APC Administration is not just confused, it is also confusing. That's what you get when a lawyer is the Minister of 3 very technical Ministries (Power, Works and Housing) and the President of the country a stark illiterate and junketing philanderer . I have never seen an irresponsible government like this one in any democracy . In the wake of recent attacks in Brussels , The Belgium Senior government officials promptly tendered resignation to the leader and took responsibility for their failure . Tinubu was quoted recently as saying that PDP was responsible for the current fuel scarcity . What a shame to the government that will never take responsibility for anything . |
Nigerians might have to pay more for petrol in the days ahead, as the Federal Government, Tuesday, disclosed that it would undertake the review of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) also known as petrol, in the month of May.Read more at: http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/04/fg-review-fuel-price-next-month/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |
It took PDP 16 year to do their own havoc but did not bring Nigeria down to its nee, now it has taken you only 10 month to run Nigeria aground and have successfully turn it on its head. Total foolishness of a gworo leader |
Buhari and APC are too lazy, that is why they keep giving excuses and taking us backwards by blaming PDP when APC have the power to make things work. So far most actions taken by Buhari and APC are working against Nigeria, they are lazy and unprepared that is why they are messing up and blaming PDP when majority of their members are made up of ex PDPs. APC and Buhari derives pleasure in lying to Nigeria and using PDP as excuses for their laziness. Spits on Buhari |

Transport operators in Lagos on Tuesday lamented the lingering fuel scarcity in the country and urged the Federal Government to take urgent measures to resolve the crisis. The operators say failure to take urgent measures would result in complete breakdown of their business activities. The operators, who spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in interviews in Lagos, said that the ongoing fuel crisis had become a clog in their regular business operations. NAN reports that the ongoing fuel crisis had adversely affected fares for destinations both within and outside the Lagos metropolis. NAN checks revealed that Agege to Yaba or Alausa now goes for N400 and N150, instead of N150 and N70 respectively, while Iyana-Ipaja to Oshodi is pegged at N300, instead of N100. From Ikorodu Garage in Lagos to Ogijo in Ogun State, along the Ikorodu-Sagamu Road, is now N200, instead of N100, while the fare from Ikorodu to Mile 12 is now N250, instead of N150. Also, a trip from Lagos to Abakaliki which was between N3, 000 and N3, 200 now goes for between N4, 000 and N4, 500. A one-way trip from Lagos to Enugu, Onitsha and Owerri which were formerly N3, 100, N2, 100 and N3, 100, respectively, is now pegged at N3,800, N2,500, and N3,800, respectively. A driver, Tunde Ajani, who operates the Oshodi to Orile Iganmu route told NAN that the transport business had not only become stressful but was no longer lucrative because of the hardships encountered in the pursuit of fuel. “It has become a ritual of headaches and worries each time I think of where the 5-litre petrol might come from,” he said. Another driver, Francis Osoko, who plies the Ikorodu to Yaba route, said he spends more of his daily income on petrol from the parallel market, otherwise known as the “black market”. “Some filling stations in Ikorodu sell one litre for between N180 and N190, depending on where you go, while the black market now sells 10 litres of petrol for as much as N4,000. “So, government should find a solution to this suffering, because it is we the poor people that are bearing the brunt,” he said. Mr Chika Obinna, who plies the Oworonsoki-Lagos Island route, said the situation had prevented him from venturing out either in search of petrol or getting behind the wheels. John Ezaka, the General Manager of Christ Light Transport Company, whose vehicles ply the Lagos-Abakaliki route, told NAN that sales have reached an all-time low. “We have 50 buses on our fleet located in our three parks in Lagos, Ijebu-Ode and Abakaliki. “But since the beginning of the year, our business has been experiencing a lot of challenges, particularly the scarcity of fuel. “We have had to increase our transport fares from the N3, 200 to N4, 200, but we discovered that many people are now afraid to travel because they are not able to afford our new fares,” he added. http://www.premiumtimesng.com/regional/ssouth-west/201285-fuel-scarcity-killing-business-lagos-transport-operators-say.html |
