Angry soldiers Thursday prevented the Ag General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 7 Division, Maiduguri, Brigadier-General Victor Eziegwu in a remote Borno village when he went there in a helicopter to address them. The soldiers who are drawn from 154 and 155 TF Battalions were used to dislodge Boko Haram terrorists who were occupying Alagarno, a remote Borno town and were allegedly left there without food and water. A source close to the angry troops said, “Though Alagarno has been taken over by soldiers after a fierce battle with the insurgents, the terrorists planted mines around the town and as I am talking to you now, they have blocked all routes to the village. We have no food and water and the only means to enter Alagarno is by air. No vehicle can go in and out now because of the mines and insurgents surrounding the town. “Instead of them to use helicopters to supply us water and food as they did when mines were planted along Bama to Banki road and our soldiers were cut off in Banki, the GOC used a helicopter to come and address us over irrelevant issues and warning us unnecessarily rather than address issues bordering on our welfare. “When he finished addressing us and was about leaving, soldiers blocked the helicopter and forced the pilot to come out of it. So many things happened in between before he was able to leave much later. I do not know if serious damage was done on the helicopter,” the source said. Responding to a text message sent to him seeking for confirmation on the story, Deputy Director, Army Public Relation of 7 Division, Maiduguri, Col Mustapha Anka said he does not have details as he did not receive any official briefing on the matter. “It is rumour I have been hearing. We are passing through so many huddles that you did not know because you are not part of us. We really need media cooperation to boost the morale of our troops. That is very essential at this time. This is a critical moment,” he said. http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/angry-soldiers-block-release-goc-over-food-water-shortage/140532.html#XpWTQHx4aPw2f2tp.99

Criticisms have continued to trail the outburst of Governor Ayodele Fayose on the abducted Chibok schoolgirls, Punch is reporting. Fayose had said the abduction was not true, but a political instrument to vote out former President, Goodluck Jonathan. It would be recalled that the Boko Haram group had shown the video of the over 200 girls in captivity, leading to a global outrage. Also in a recent interview, a former British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Dr. Andrew Pocock, said US and UK intelligence surveillance located the missing girls at the Sambisa Forest but could not do anything as the consequences could be grievous. But Fayose, on Wednesday, added a twist to the abduction saga when he said that the abduction was a political strategy employed by some people. He spoke in Ado Ekiti while declaring open a two-day workshop on capacity building among female political aspirants from Ekiti, Osun and Ondo states. The administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan had lived in denial up till three weeks after the news of the abduction broke, saying no schoolgirl was kidnapped in Chibok. But reacting, the senator representing Osun-West senatorial district, Isiaka Adeleke, said Fayose should put himself in the shoes of the schoolgirls’ parents, adding that even former President Jonathan later admitted that the schoolgirls were kidnapped. Adeleke, who is a member of the All Progressives Congress, said, “Fayose should not trivialise this touchy issue. The governor should use his time wisely and pray for the safe return of these girls.” The senator representing Osun-East senatorial district, Babajide Omoworare, called on the country’s security agencies to invite Fayose to tell Nigerians where the kidnapped schoolchildren are. In a reaction on Thursday, Omoworare said he called for the interrogation of Fayose because the governor appeared to have classified information on the whereabouts of the girls. He said, “Security agents must invite Fayose for us to know where the schoolgirls are. He is probably having classified information. However, if he is playing politics as usual, it is cruel to mock the girls’ parents and Nigerians who are daily in agony and hoping that someday, the girls would come back alive. “The Buhari administration will do all it can to bring back the girls and end the mockery from people like Fayose.” Also, a former member of the House of Representatives, Bamidele Faparusi, described Fayose’s claim as a threat to national security. Faparusi, a chieftain of the APC in Ekiti State, maintained that Fayose by the statement had insulted the sensibilities of the families of the missing girls. He called on the security agencies to invite the governor for questioning to shed more light on his claims. Faparusi said, “Governor Fayose has given the whole country the lead that these girls were neither missing nor dead. All we need to do is to ask him to tell the whole country where they are being kept and nothing more. “The world-renowned activist, Malala, came to Nigeria to visit Dr Goodluck Jonathan and begged that these children must be recovered. Even after the abduction, some of these girls escaped and were later reunited with their families when Jonathan was still in the saddle. “Could it be inferred here that the former President who is also a member of Fayose’s party, had lied against his own administration?” A former Executive Secretary, Ayedire Local Government Council of Osun State, Gbenga Ogunkanmi, said that Nigerians should not accord Fayose attention. In a statement by his media aide, Ismail Usman, on Thursday, Ogunkanmi said Fayose had lost the sense of dignity and integrity. He said, “It is shocking that a person occupying the exalted position of governor could open his mouth and gush out these insensible utterances. It shows how debased our political system is. It shows that something is wrong with how our political leaders emerge.” Also, the Lagos State chapter of the APC slammed Fayose for describing the abduction of the missing schoolgirls as a political gimmick to pull down the Jonathan administration. Speaking in an interview with the Punch on Thursday, the state Publicity Secretary of the APC, Joe Igbokwe, said Fayose had subjected himself to public ridicule with his comments. He said, “It pains me to no end that we are still providing a chance for world-class joker, Fayose, to continue to insult our intelligence. Fayose is an indictment on all of us, especially the educated people of Ekiti State. “Fayose is a punishment to the people of Nigeria and Ekiti State. The people deserve the kind of government they get. Again, the relocation of Ekiti lawmakers to Oyo State is not unconnected with the house of fraud called Ekiti Government House. Nothing good can come out of Ekiti as long as Fayose is there. Out of nothing comes nothing. You cannot give what you do not have.” http://dailypost.ng/2016/04/01/fayose-should-be-arrested-and-questioned-about-chibok-girls-whereabouts-igbokwe-others/?utm_source=dp_twt&utm_medium=twitter |

Every damn thing GEJ handed over to Buhari has dropped including Life of the citizens; happiness dropped, Economy dropped, Naira value dropped, Security of life and property dropped as Fulani herders and DSS are running amok. It will take Fashola more than 2 years to understand power generation and distribution not to talk of managing it. A lawyer in a wrong place. |
Nigeria’s Minister of Power Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola, says there is currently not enough power to distribute unless more turbines are switched on.
He attributed recent power outages in some parts of the country to four turbines which stopped working, but hoped electricity supply would be stabilized soon as three of the four turbines have been restored. The Minister also expressed hope that President Muhammadu Buhari’s 10,000 megawatts target would be met. He, however, decried acts of vandalism which he says is causing some of the energy problems in the country. http://www.channelstv.com/2016/03/31/fashola-admits-no-sufficient-power-distribution/

"Fixing power and giving Nigerians uninterrupted power not a rocket science"-Fashola Now the mouth winning is over ![]() |
Has Buhari's body language disappeared? |
Una chose a fake WAEC F9 Buhari to be una president. Expect F9 result in economy and Power ![]() We are gradually getting there.. All thanks to everyone who helped in taking Nigeria 30 years backward |
Nigeria is in deep trouble. Things are becoming worse every day with BUHARI on the saddle. Where then is the change after all? Fuel scarcity worsening, power outages getting worse, many companies and industries closing down as a result of scarcity of Forex, many essential commodities like sachet water, milk, beverages, pharmaceuticals, fuel, kerosene, printing paper, food items, etc have gone up by over 50%. Many people have lost their jobs. Increase in tuition fees in Federal universities, Polytechnic and Colleges of Education, schools, increase in house rent, etc. We are in for very difficult times. |
The only power Buhari can generate is military power to unlawfully incarcerate his opponents, shoot and kill peaceful unarmed Biafrans and send his Fulani brothers to commit genocide across Nigeria. |
Nigeria’s power generation collapsed completely on Thursday at exactly 12.58pm to zero megawatt and this persisted for about three hours. Data from the country’s System Operator showed that around 1pm on Thursday, no power generation company in Nigeria produced a single megawatt of electricity. Industry operators told our correspondent that as a result of the complete collapse, no electricity distribution company received load allocation beginning from when the collapse was recorded up till around 3pm. The SO stated that the 11 distribution companies got zero electricity load allocation during the period of the collapse, meaning that for about three hours on Thursday no part of Nigeria got power supply from the national grid. Our correspondent, however, gathered that supply of electricity was restored around 3pm. For instance, out of the 450MW that was due Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, the Disco only got about 50MW when the situation began to improve. Before the collapse, AEDC got an allocation of 257.97MW and the nationwide generation level stood at 2,243.2MW. Sources in the sector blamed the complete collapse in power generation on the extent of destruction of infrastructure and gas pipelines vandalism that had happened in the industry over the past years, as well as the poor upgrade of power installations across the country. “The power crisis being experienced nationwide since Tuesday this week has worsened on Thursday with a total system collapse at exactly 12.58pm this afternoon. At that point, the nation went to ground zero, with all the Discos receiving zero MW allocation from the System Operator,” an operator in the sector told our correspondent in confidence. Officials from the Federal Ministry of Power, Works and Housing as well as private investors, had attributed the never-ending fall in electricity generation to vandalism of gas pipelines and destruction of vital infrastructure in the industry by miscreants. “Aside pipelines vandalism, some miscreants have been involved in the destruction of vital power infrastructure and this has been affecting not just generation but transmission and distribution as well,” a senior official at the power ministry who spoke on condition of anonymity as he was not authorised to speak on the matter, had said. The official also stressed that the ongoing difficulty in the downstream oil industry was also impacting negatively on the power sector. http://www.punchng.com/power-generation-crumbles-to-0mw-for-several-hours/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter

Rolings:May that bad news you so much cherish be your portion forever. Why are people so senseless and 1d1otic at same time ![]() |
The day I read ANYTHING good coming out from Buhari's government, I will turn that day to my second birthday! Haba, what a government! Every you open a news page concerning this government all you get are Government lies, propaganda, confusion, incompetence, electoral crisis and inconclusiveness, fuel scarcity, MegaWatt dropping, Dollar fluctuations, inflation peaking, Buhari JETTING OUT, and all one naught; can't anything good come out of Nazareth sorry Aso Rock? |
It is no longer news that The wife of the president, Aisha Buhari, through the wife of the Vice President Dolapo Osibanjo, donated relief materials to persons displaced in the Agatu-herdsmen crisis, yesterday, March 30. The news and reactions making rounds is the meager and paltry items she donated to thousands of victims of Agatu massacre. I can't help help but question the rationale behind flying a presidential jet to Benue state to donate few bags of local rice, 3 bags of Semovita, 4 packs of indomie, few cartons of cabin biscuit and some sachets of cowbell milk. How insensitive and callous can the APC leaders get How much was the cost of fueling the jet compared to what she donated? So Nigerians are now responsible for the transportation of d first lady and the 2nd lady. What then happened to the agreed abolition of office of the first lady?? Is our APC now systematically creating the office of the 2nd lady? They talk about change but do not live by example. What are the number of people that will share these miserable gifts from the jet-flying 2nd lady? The President has not acknowledge the murder and sacking of agatu indigenes but his wife has the audacity to mock at the victims in the name of charity. What sort of charity when your husband is directly or indirectly a cosponsor of death by fulani/Hausa cum foreign herdsmen. Nigeria at the moment is operating without a President for Nigeria and Nigerians. Will a reasonable politician besides fayose intervene to save the vulnerable from this murderous regime? Nigeria is surely in need of leadership when it's not too late. Oh Benue, you have to pay dearly for the change you voted for; your governor is saying what preferred Buhari wants to hear.
