I have been dating this girl for almost a year now and things have been going smooth with us until recently. I just don't know were the desperation for marriage came from. Now we barely have a normal conversation without the marriage issue coming up.

Though I don't have a steady job per say, I am a business man and am able to make myself a good some of money every week which isn't so bad. She is also working and makes around 60k every month. I have been telling her to relax a little bit so we can plan properly and get ourselves ready for the life time journey together, but she won't listen.

Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has stated that the South East Governors are working round the clock to ensure the return of the traditional ruler of Afaraukwu Ibeku Autonomous community, and father of leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Eze I. O. Kanu, who has not been seen since after the military invasion of his community last year.

“Eze Ibeawuchi can tell some of the efforts the government made to prevent the invasion of the community. I was outside the country when the crises started on a Sunday and returned immediately to take charge in the hope of preventing the escalation of the crises. We went as far convening an emergency meeting of traditional rulers to help persuade the military not to engage the unarmed youth.

“We had to impose curfew to de-escalate the situation and moved in to ensure that those who were injured were treated.

The south east Governors as a body is doing its best to ensure that Eze Kanu is re-united with his community. Your traditional rulers will go with me to meet other south east governors and we will work to ensure that Eze Kanu does not spend the new year outside his domain.”

Governor Ikpeazu gave the assurance at the Government House Umuahia during a visit by the people of Afaraukwu Ibeku.

The Governor reiterated that the Government of Abia State was never consulted by the Federal Government before carrying out the operation that led to the invasion of Afaraukwu community last year by the military.

The Governor described the people of Afaraukwu as reliable allies and partners in progress, assuring that they would always receive special attention in terms of development projects, empowerment and employment as host community of Government House.

He also informed the Governor of the resolve of the community to support his re-election bid because of his good performance, equity and good governance.

“Talking about Security, you have been uncompromising, in education Abia is setting the pace, in infrastructure you have set a standard and under your watch Abia has returned back to her lost glory in Agriculture, the state have also become indomitable in Sports.”

He recalled “the grief and psychological trauma which the people are going through as a result of the sad event of September 2017, when the military unleashed mayhem on our community, coupled with the sudden disappearance of our foremost Traditional Ruler, HRM Eze Sir I. The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate for 2019, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, has said his emergence is causing the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) a lot of distress.


Atiku, who is also a former vice president, in a statement by his campaign office, yesterday, said accusations by the APC that he is desperate is borne out of panic and confusion, which the ruling party has been thrown into since his emergence as PDP presidential candidate.

He said if anyone is desperate for power, it is the APC presidential candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari.

He said while Nigeria needs job creation to cater for the army of unemployed youths, instead of creating new jobs about 11 million jobs have been lost under the APC-led federal government in the last three years.

“The fact of the matter is that no other candidate is as poised as Atiku Abubakar to Get Nigeria Working Again. Nigerians want jobs and Atiku means jobs.

“Our question to president Buhari and the APC is: how many jobs have they created?” he asked rhetorically.

Born on December 17, 1942, Mr Buhari became the military governor of North-eastern state in 1975 at 33.

People have built houses worth over a billion naira, but they are afraid to live in them. What is the use? So, security is number one.
Number two is structure. We have to revive the electricity sector so that people will have access to power to carry out their businesses. Others include the roads, the railways, the shipping lines. We used to have all these things. In spite of what we earned in the last eleven years, the whole infrastructure has already collapsed.

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has challenged President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to tell Nigerians what he used the N13 trillion his government borrowed within three years of his administration for.

Atiku, in a statement Tuesday by his Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation, said that the Buhari government and the APC have been very idle of late, which explains their abandonment of the vital duties in order to focus on hurling insults and false accusations on the presidential candidate of the PDP.
It said: “The Atiku Presidential Campaign Organisation runs an issue-based campaign where refined language and cerebral arguments founded on facts are used to disseminate the vision of our candidate which is why we call on the Buhari Campaign Organisation to waste no time in taking the #BuhariChallenge in clearing the air on these knotty issues bothering the minds of Nigerians.”

While challenging the Buhari Campaign Organisation to take the #BuhariChallenge and answer the following questions among others, it said: “Name one year that Nigeria’s GDP grew faster than her population under Buhari (for 16 years of PDP administrations, Nigeria’s GDP always grew faster than population growth).

“Name the initiatives the Buhari government has put in place to address Nigeria being named the world headquarters for extreme poverty under Buhari.

“Name one initiative the Buhari government has put in place to address Nigeria having the world’s highest number of out of school children; 13.2 million according to the United Nations Children Fund. Name the date the Ogoni cleanup will begin.

“Name what President Buhari has done with the N13 trillion loans he has taken in 3 years, compared to the N6 trillion borrowed by the PDP in 16 years.

“Name one youth in President Buhari’s cabinet. Name one campaign promise President Buhari has kept. Name the real owners of the Ikoyi apartment billions.”

It stressed that these are the issues the Nigerian people want to hear about, not insults from a Presidency and a party that have spent three years in office only to preside over Nigeria’s first ever recession in 25 years.

“We urge the Buhari administration to remember that it is this disinterest in real governance and focus on trivia that caused Bill Gates to look President Buhari in the eye and tell him that ‘your economic blueprint does not address Nigerians’ needs’.
