Buhari is a big disappointment. He just sits at Aso rock doing nothing. The CBN governor and Minister of finance should be sacked. Can't the president do something. If he is incapable of the job,he should be impeached.

No, I don't think he ordered it. I know that his faulty policies led to the rise in prices, and that he has no clue about how to reduce the prices and improve the value of the Naira. If he had, he would have been working towards creating incentives to attract foreign direct investments i.e. Foreign manufacturers, while subsidizing local manufacturing as a means of making importation less attractive, than simply using executive powers to stall importation. He should have done everything to prevent the outflow of foreign investors to begin with.

how can he attract foreign investment with fx restriction for Christ sakes , who will want to come and invest here when he can't have acess to fx

Personally I tink salary restructuring is far better dan mass retrenchment. Restructuring in such a way dat low earners are not really affected. I'm particular about very high earners. Wen pursued, it is a good way to bridge inflation & ensure stronger middle class.

help me ask them , they even went on to say it's a long term nd medium term plan ,even the floating of the currency did not improve anything , however no country has succeeded with this policy , if am Lyin do ur research .. It just a short term plan to stabilize the xchange rate for a short period . The uk did it in 1992 or so it didn't work out fine .. So wat are they sayin are they not learned enough .

The stupid CBN has seen that the ban caused the naira to depreciate further to 420 naira to a dollar. It is better they see the long term impact of a policy before adopting it.
