So sorry about that bro, it’s getting clearer they don’t buy that funding thing nomore, they keep switching up lol this not the first or second case I’m seeing being refused. I think they want you to spend YOUR OWN money. I haven’t seen anyone with funding (either full or part) approved lately. It’s crazy. God dey!!
McOsheBaba:
After every every, I was refused based on financial reasons. I wonder how they would deny someone who has full funding and yearly stipend of 12,000 CAD based on financial reasons. It's really sad.

How much is considered a lump sum ?
omohakin:
Any Cash Inflow(deposit) From an Unknown Source( Private individual lump transfer majorly i guess or otherwise) will always raise a doubt. Hence there is a need for a reasonable explicit explanation, if backed up with an evidence(receipt of sales, Rent e.t.c) will be fine. Recent lump transfer always raise an eyebrow.

Hi guys, anyone with a clue of what's going on with my application. I made an online application, submitted on the 4th, normally study permit fee and biometric fee is together so you pay both before submitting but in my case only study permit fee was on there, no biometric fee. I've called vfs I was told I can't make payment at there office if I applied online. What do I do guys? Anyone with the same issue ?

This is a screenshot of what I'm talking about. Only study permit fee stated, no biometric. Normally it shows both. I've submitted my app , but yet to pay for biometric and get it done. Relevant answers pls

Hi guys! I submitted my application yesterday online but due to the maximum 4MB size limit on on the portal I couldn't upload some of my documents( Degree cert, transcripts and NYSC cert) how do I get these across to them? Is there any email I could make use ?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Miles490: 12:22pm On Aug 27, 2017
Not necessarily because it's PGD it depends on how you presented your application. Share your profile so it can be addressed. You probably didn't do much to convince the VO on your intent of visit. Did you pay tuition ?

chrisb2r200:
Please I need help oo i got refused this month due to purpose of visit which I feel it's due to the fact I applied for PGD program am a graduate of pharmacology with CGPA of 2.9 nd the schools I wanted to apply for in canada says minimum of 3.0 or second class upper....i also have the intention of studying pharmacy pls wat do I do any school that offers prepharmacy for Winter section? Or what do I do to please the VO

Preach!

mesh2003:
Keep your negative opinion to yourself. Ask those that got their TRV with PGD how they did it and look for ways to help others. PGD is a post graduate program and so far it doesn't say otherwise and is still being offered by universities and colleges, people will continue to go for it.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Miles490: 11:15am On Aug 23, 2017

Meaning no personal assets except his 100k naira in shares. Just put up a got SOP that's it. Learn guys

Not true, people are still getting it

Arebo:
Let's not deceive ourselves, it's safe to say CIC doesn't want to hear anything Pgd/c from Nigeria, it's been loads of denials all through.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Miles490: 9:37am On Aug 21, 2017
Wow. When was she denied? If she applied late they may be denying for any reason even if she's got everything together, so I heard.

Alantobie:
I don't understand this CIC people. My friend told me that she was delayed because of insufficient funds. She paid a year tuition fee, and submitted her dad's statement of account with balance of 20m and she is his only dependant. She said they ticked all three boxes for insufficient funds. It's like they didn't even check her application to find the tuition receipt.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Miles490: 8:19pm On Aug 20, 2017
Sorry about that bro, on what grounds were you delayed?

Emmane:
Arebo, CIC dey vex. I dey on my own, had my school fees receipt which wasn't in file as at when I submitted, though had stated on my SOP that tuition fees had been paid. So this fareful Thursday 17th, I mailed Accra CIC the receipt to include in my app, and they replied within an hour. That same evening, my eligibility started. The following Noon or about 1pm, I noticed I had a mail that came in abt 10am i hadnt checked, and which I did and it was CIC. Just to log into my portal to see d sad Delay news. Wheeewwww. It's well. cry

jnyuwa02:
Yes totally wrong! I'll tell you another one. Another guy has had a masters degree in Marketing and then proceeded for another masters program in mechanical engineering. He got his trv ! Again it doesn't matter what program you go for, just give reasons why you need to go for it, VO's don't determine what you must go for, they only want cogent reasons for it. Now tell me from your standpoint how does marketing relate to mechanical engineering? Doesn't make sense to you right? But the guy made it clear to them why he is going for it and he got approved! Diploma/PGD/Masters/PHD applicants all have the duty to tell the case officer why you are going for it and that's why an SOP is required. Simple.

Totally wrong? Okay. These VOS don't care what degree you go for? Okay. There is a reason why people going for PHD have very low to virtually no denial rate for TRV. They are taken to be very serious scholars whose purpose of visit borne by experience, has always been well defined. I am not saying anything is a walk through the park. Anyone who undertakes this journey of going through this TRV pursuit is to be commended. I am not saying PGD don't get approved, I am saying their uphill task is indeed uphill. In comparison to masters and PHDs students vying for a visa. Someone with a law degree going for a PGD asked me and I felt a logical progression is an LLB for them. We have seen too many people run into problems with obtaining TRV who had first degree, instead of applying for a master's, going for a PGD. Low GPA should not mean we settle for PGD. Please search more better, there are programs spread across the country you will be surprised you can get into. I have analyzed the common perception on those going for PGD. Yes the onus lies with each candidate in dovetailing their applications no matter what course of study to show their eligibility for a TRV. But the proof is in the pudding. PGD is the more uphill battle on getting a TRV. My opinion is not to discourage anyone, but to guide away from potential pitfalls. It is better to be safe than be sorry. By all means though, if you feel strongly about the PGD program and feel you can compellingly make a case for visa as some have, follow your gut instincts.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 13 by Miles490: 10:28am On Aug 17, 2017
Totally Wrong! You clearly don't understand how it works. These guys don't care what program you go for with or without good grades, as long as you meet the requirements that's it. They work with guide lines and it's nowhere stated you must go for a master program, go for whatever program suites you but meet their requirements

PS: I know of someone at a College in Canada athat was admitted with a pass! Not 3rd class pass! Got his trv and about completing his program. Learn guys!

jnyuwa02:
Depends on what you or your brother want to study. I am saying stay away from applying for postgraduate diploma and certificate courses in Canada because many people have encountered problems getting TRVs with such admissions. VOs want to determine that you would be a serious student and remain in school for them to grant you visa. I guess it was borne out of experience of Nigerians using certificate courses admission as a short cut route of getting a visa and absconding into thin air and not attending the school they promised to attend. This is because PGD is very easy to get into. So you will do yourself a world of good by applying for a regular masters program that is rigorous, where you have to write thesis proposal/statement of intent, find supervisors and meet other stringent demands. That way when you go to a VO with your acceptance, they will take you as a serious student whose purpose of study is really to study. I am not saying PGD are not serious students who want to study. Going the PGD route is really risky because of the rate of denial for a visa in that arena because of common perception borne out of experience of absconding PGD students granted visa in the past. So settle down and patiently go through the rigorous masters admission process, you will find somewhere even with that GPA. There are no shortcuts to life's greatest achievements.

I've been to the bank this morning to ask what's up, they checked and still not done "says processing" the manager advised me if it would affect me meeting up with due date I should use other means or a different bank because they are not sure when it will be done. That's the latest from first Bank Form A this morning.

likeababygirl:
I used firstbank form A, My dad's account wasn't debited too after two weeks and i had to go to the branch to complain. After running some info, they told me the transaction has been completed three days before that and i requested that my telex copy to be sent to my email adressed which I received same day.
Till now, my dad hasn't gotten the alert so go check with the bank.
This was late june/ early july

But my Dad's bank is first bank, can he transfer it to my GTBank so I do the form A from there with my Account? I hope that won't border on source of funds on my visa application ?

Newman1010:
