He has no other choice than to hand over. Handshake is a must and remains an integral part of the ceremonial rites.

APC is having a wrong interpretation of CHANGE. No change is so strong that it will totally erode traces of the former.

They should accept the outcome and look into the future with a view to containing the already crowded house.

I wish they know this. If the whole country CHANGE to APC, will one still call it democracy?

Democracy is all about freedom....freedom of chioce is integral.

Politics / Re: Alamieyeseigha And Other Lead APC In 2016 Gubernatorial Election In Bayelsa Stat by milkymesh: 12:46pm On Apr 14, 2015
Naijaepic:
There are strong indications that a former Governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, is seeking to govern Bayelsa State again.

It was learnt on Monday that this time around, Alamieyeseigha, who in his first tenure, was called ‘Governor General of Niger Delta,’ wishes to actualise his ambition on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

It was also learnt that a former Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission, Chief Timi Alaibe, is interested in the governorship ticket of the APC for the 2016 governorship election in the state as well.

Others said to be eyeing the party’s tickets were a leader of the APC and a former Governor of the state, Chief Timipre Sylva; a former Commissioner for Health, Chief Frank Akpoebi; a Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Power, Godknow Igali, and APC state Chairman, Mr. Tiwe Oruminighe.

It was further learned that Mr. Preye Aganaba, who recently lost his senatorial ambition, was being propelled by the Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, to go for the party’s governorship ticket.

A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Alameseigha, the first elected civilian governor of the state, was seriously staging a comeback to the Creek Haven, Bayelsa Government House, on APC platform.

The source claimed the former governor and Igali were plotting to wrest power from the incumbent Governor, Mr. Seriake Dickson.

Alamieyeseigha became the first civilian governor of the state in 1999 and was re-elected for a second term in 2003.

He was later enmeshed in serious allegations of corruption and money laundering, leading to his impeachment by the state House of Assembly.

The former governor was subsequently prosecuted and convicted.

But he was pardoned by President Goodluck Jonathan, who described him as his political benefactor.

The source said, “Alamieseigha is eyeing the governorship seat. His plan is to make a grand return to the seat of power in 2016. To this end, he has been holding a series of meetings with some APC stalwarts.

“He is assuring the APC leadership that with him as governor, the militants will feel comfortable. He is saying that the incumbent governor is not liked by ex-militants, citing the clash between the governor and ex-militants over pipeline contracts,” he said.

Election has come and gone. Politicians has lost and won. For those who are not politician or those who will not benefit directly by way of appointment, job etc, its time,to direct our energy to ensuring government at all level performs and fulfil their promises.
We need to to ensure there is strong opposition. The gale of defection is not encouraging at all. If care is not taken we will soon have another PDPlike APC taking Nigerians for granted.
May that never happen. Amen. Any party that find itself in the opposition in any state should, ensure they put the ruling party on its toe by providing constructive criticism.

The All Progressives Congress has directed its
members and supporters in Adamawa State to
defy the curfew imposed by the state police
command, describing it as unlawful.
The National Publicity Secretary of the party,
Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said in a statement on
Friday that there was no threat to security in the
state to warrant the imposition of a curfew.
The APC said the Presidential and National
Assembly elections were held without incident or
declaration of curfew, wondering what warranted
the unlawful curfew declaration.
‘’Imposing an unlawful curfew with effect from
when voting ends on Saturday is suspect and
unacceptable. We are therefore asking all our
members and supporters to ignore the curfew,
come out en masse to vote and also stay back
to defend their votes,’’ the party added.
The Adamawa State Police Command had
imposed a dusk to dawn curfew on the state to
forestall violence that may trail the governorship
and state House of Assembly elections in the
state.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Gabriel
Adaji, said this while briefing newsmen on the
preparation of the police for the April 11
elections in Yola on Friday.
The police commissioner said the curfew would
run between April 12 and 14 would begin at 6pm
and end by 6am.
He said that the measure was to ensure peaceful
and orderly conduct of the elect ions.
“After the last presidential and National
Assembly elections, we had some nasty and ugly
experiences in the state, hence the present
measure,” the CP explained
The police boss also banned residents from
using tricycles, wheel barrows, local trucks
during the curfew. He added that hawking would
not also be allowed; stressing that his men
would be on ground to enforce the order.
Adaji also commended the people of the state,
especially politicians for their peaceful conduct
and orderliness during the March 28 polls.
Meanwhile, political parties in the state have
rejected the imposition of curfew because “it
will coincide with the time collation of election
results will be going on.”
The Publicity Secretary of the APC, Ahmed Lawal,
told our correspondent on the telephone that
the party did not see reason why curfew should
be imposed on the state “if there is peaceful
election.”
Also, the Director General of the Campaign
Organisation of the People’s Democratic
Movement, Sunday Wugira, said that the party
could not understand the reason for the curfew.
Corroborating his colleagues, the Secretary of
the Peoples Democratic Party in the state, A.T.
Shehu, said the curfew was unwarranted.
Rather than imposing curfew, Shehu said the
police should have banned c

Family / How To Deal With Emotional Abuse In Relationship by milkymesh: 9:13am On Mar 08, 2015
Deal with emotional abuse
MARCH 8, 2015 BY JAYNE AUGOYE
Deal with emotional abuse
Using verbal assault, fear or humiliation to
undermine your partner’s self-esteem and self-
worth, can cause psychological damage. Difficult
to manage, the following tips can help:
Set limits
An easy way to handle any case of emotional
abuse is to develop some level of confidence.
Psychologists often suggest that you let your
partner know that you are open to hearing his
concerns about your actions and how they
impact him, but will no longer engage in
conversations that attack who you are as a
person. Set limits and inform your partner in a
subtle tone, which will not infuriate him or her
the more.
Consider your partner’s concerns
While this may sound like an odd thing to do at
first, it is important that you ask your partner
the reason why he or she verbally abuses you.
Also, find out what you are willing to do for him
or her to change whilst making sure you align
these requests with your personal well-being and
integrity. At the same time, do not agree to do
things in order to keep the peace or save the
relationship, especially if deep down you know it
isn’t right for you.
Reflect on your life goals
Consider your values, goals and needs. Make
sure your decisions are in alignment with your
needs. Let him or her know what you can and
can’t do for him. Whatever you do, do not be
intimidated. Be assertive and make him
understand your wishes and utmost desires at
all times.
Study the abuser
Find positive ways to interact with the abuser –
if you can handle the abuser in a neutral way,
you may be able to see the positive in the
abuser and find new ways to interact with him or
her that is positive.
While it can seem counter-intuitive to have
compassion for the abuser, sometimes changing
the way you view the abuser can give you insight
into coping with the abuse.
Make healthy friends
Find ways to reconnect with the people or
friends that will appreciate you for who you are
at all times. Engage and connect with other
people that support your dreams and are willing
to help you achieve it. Join a support group and
connect with others in the same situation like
you.
Take a walk
At the end of the day, only you can decide if his
or her controlling behaviour is something you
are willing to live with or not. Relationships
should be something that develop and not
diminish you. Because love celebrates who you
are and you deserve to have a powerful and
loving relationship, you can take a walk if it is
beyond repair. Love yourself enough to take a
walk especially if your life and sanity is at stake.

Saw this somewhere. Kinda funny:

The 1st initial of God is G same with that of Goodluck. Also the 1st initial of Jesus is J same with that
of Jonathan/Jumouke. Again, the 1st Initial of Emmanuel is E same with Ebele. This does not in any
way equal GEJ with God as He is Almighty and his glory will He not share with any.
The 1st initial of Mohammed is M same with that of Muhamadu. Also, the 1st initial of Boko Haram is
B same with Buhari.
Now J stands for peace and progress while B stand for violence and destruction. This is not reveal by
flesh and blood.
From above revelation, It is likely that God has endorsed GEJ. So carry on GEJ you are our man.aa
