All I saw are humans with fleshly body. Will those in hell still have body that has already decayed in the grave?
Does the punishment received equal the sin committed.
All I see is a display of crass wickedness by a supposedly just god.
I doubt if god is wicked as the proponent of hell represent him to be.

Crime / Why Do Most Nigerian/nlders Endorse Extra-judicial Killing by milkymesh: 11:31am On Aug 07, 2015
I just saw a thread where the Ogun State Police Commissioner ordered his men to shoot ritualist as sight. I,m surprised many in the thead endorsed the order. We heard of similar order from different authority including state governors.
Question:
How does a policeman determine a ritualist, kidnapper, armed, etc "at sight", especially when such have not exhibited any kind of behaviour perculier to that class of person?
Such order has lead to the killing of so many innocent person who were framed up or mistaken to be criminals.

How old are you. You sound one attained adulthood during GEJ administration. Probably you are not aware of the rot in the system, since independence. Do they still teach history and government in school these days.

Religion / Re: I Do Not Wish To Go To Heaven. by milkymesh: 7:42pm On Jul 29, 2015
Here is someone who reason with his brain. Do people reason think deeply about the crap there are taught in the churches or mosque?

Pigin1:
For those of you worried about
the possibility
of my soul's eternal damnation to
hell.
.
I wish to clearly state here that I
do not
wish to go to heaven.
.
The idea of a place where every
being
dresses in white abi gold. Doing
nothing but
singing and worshiping a certain
supreme
being DOES NOT APPEAL TO ME.
.
I cannot stand religious gathering
here on
earth in this life, why would I
want to end
up in a place where I will
perpetually
habitate with people I cannot
stand.
.
Yet again I still can't figure out
exactely
how my skin (body) which will
physically
decompose after I die will end up
in a place
where it will perpetually burn in
a furnance.
.
Did I hear you say its not my
flesh that will
end up in hell but my spirit?
.
My little
understanding of the concept of
spirit is
that it is without a body or form.
Spirits
cannot feel the pain of the
scourging fire (I
will need my skin and brain for
that). Same
body that would have
decomposed.
.
I think the church need to
upgrade their
concept of Spirit to include one
that still has
functioning body parts.

Birthday celebration has been a pagan celebration even before jesus came.

Worshipers of jehovah never celebrated birthdays

The Jews did not do it.

even though the mosaic scriptures listed several celebrations, birthdays was not one of them

The bible warns against adopting pagan dates and celebrations.

Jesus did not celebrate it

JW celebrate other annivessaries like death, wedding, etc. Are these different? Please clarify. Thks.

The disciples did not celebrate it

The early christians do not celebrate it even though they knew pagans celebrate it.

What calender do you use to count ur years, the hebrew, Islamic, gregorian or Julian calender? All are different with different shades of accuracy

Why do you mark years, why dnt you celebrate days instead, at least everyday is new and different.

JW do celebrate wedding anniversary, death anniversary etc. How is this different from birth anniversary. Pls clarify.

This thread got me digging the various material recommended here. I,ve almost read thru d crises of conscience, i,ve visited jwfact.com and many other materials and site. Believe me, all i saw is some disgruntled individual who felt short changed(i used this for lack of handy adj to qualify it) by the sanction they got after devoting most of their life to jw activities. Most if not all thesr guys supported or condoned without xomplaining when these sanctions were applied to others. Can franz, paul of jwfact.com deny that he never ostracize any individual to was excomm when he was a fire brand member.
Why is it that most devoted members who left find it diff to join other churches?

Have you ever been leader before? If no then I got no discussion with you.
But If yes, did your predecessor not leave you with clear path info on his visions especially when his leadership had a kinda prematured end?

Please read the post again. Is he saying he can not succeed with tip from a "clueless" man. Is he looking for cheap excuse supposing he failed. Did he needed Shagari's tip in 1984? Lamenting over inability to get tip from a "bad, inept, corrupt, clueless government/president" makes me want to doubt his level of readiness for the task ahead.

Why is the world, even Nigeria outraged? What is the penalty for armed robbery in Nigeria? Are we angry that capital purnishment is harsh generally or that capital purnishment is too harsh for the alleged crime.
Kidnapping in Nigeria carries capital purnishment in some states. That is too harsh.
We do not have the moral capacity to criticise indonesia considering that we still condone this form of purnishment in an era were it is considered harsh in the international community .,

GMB popularity is bound to wane as his time goes on. Expectations are too high. Some Nigerians are bound to be dissapointed as a result of unrealistic expectations. Naturally, like every leader, he will make mistake. The opposition will capitalize on some of these reason to sway some of his present supporters to their side. Its a difficult task, but its good for our democracy.

Is there any hausa/fulani politician who is stronger than General Muhammadu Buhari in terms of popularity and intergrity? I don't think so!

PDP will fail in 2019.

Going by what the man wore, he is a Northner. Amaechi stopping a Northner from joining APC. Ok. Buhari looking on with a sneer. He can not hold on for long. Buhari deliberately make the door frigile and of wood. When it breaks and there is a a floodgate of defectors, Amaechi would be blame for not doing enough to keep the Northern defectors out. He has no other choice than to hand over. Handshake is a must and remains an integral part of the ceremonial rites.

APC is having a wrong interpretation of CHANGE. No change is so strong that it will totally erode traces of the former.

They should accept the outcome and look into the future with a view to containing the already crowded house.

I wish they know this. If the whole country CHANGE to APC, will one still call it democracy?

Democracy is all about freedom....freedom of chioce is integral.

Politics / Re: Alamieyeseigha And Other Lead APC In 2016 Gubernatorial Election In Bayelsa Stat by milkymesh: 12:46pm On Apr 14, 2015
Naijaepic:
There are strong indications that a former Governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha, is seeking to govern Bayelsa State again.

It was learnt on Monday that this time around, Alamieyeseigha, who in his first tenure, was called ‘Governor General of Niger Delta,’ wishes to actualise his ambition on the platform of the All Progressives Congress.

It was also learnt that a former Managing Director, Niger Delta Development Commission, Chief Timi Alaibe, is interested in the governorship ticket of the APC for the 2016 governorship election in the state as well.

Others said to be eyeing the party’s tickets were a leader of the APC and a former Governor of the state, Chief Timipre Sylva; a former Commissioner for Health, Chief Frank Akpoebi; a Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Power, Godknow Igali, and APC state Chairman, Mr. Tiwe Oruminighe.

It was further learned that Mr. Preye Aganaba, who recently lost his senatorial ambition, was being propelled by the Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, to go for the party’s governorship ticket.

A source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Alameseigha, the first elected civilian governor of the state, was seriously staging a comeback to the Creek Haven, Bayelsa Government House, on APC platform.

The source claimed the former governor and Igali were plotting to wrest power from the incumbent Governor, Mr. Seriake Dickson.

Alamieyeseigha became the first civilian governor of the state in 1999 and was re-elected for a second term in 2003.

He was later enmeshed in serious allegations of corruption and money laundering, leading to his impeachment by the state House of Assembly.

The former governor was subsequently prosecuted and convicted.

But he was pardoned by President Goodluck Jonathan, who described him as his political benefactor.

The source said, “Alamieseigha is eyeing the governorship seat. His plan is to make a grand return to the seat of power in 2016. To this end, he has been holding a series of meetings with some APC stalwarts.

“He is assuring the APC leadership that with him as governor, the militants will feel comfortable. He is saying that the incumbent governor is not liked by ex-militants, citing the clash between the governor and ex-militants over pipeline contracts,” he said.
