Unilag? It's possible just pray really hard cus entering unilag via DE is really hard your degree has to be like a first class, last year they took just 7-10 for degree and A'level

Well to the best of my knowledge,
1) Requirements include the usual, physics, chem, bio, english nd maths for waec, and the utme subjects for med.
2)none that I know of, people waiting for after jamb.
3)am not sure of utme, as I didn’t write last year, I would refer you to the 2015/2016 thread, around pages 2-15 maybe.
4) the quota for med is 100 according to mdcn, but they hardly accept up to 100 maybe like 70 or so for utme and 20-12 for DE, depends cus this year dey didn't paste the list, as for cut off just try to get high in jamb about 280 should do, and about 70-80 in utme, you would stand a good chance (with God's mercies)
My advice: lasu doesn't consider 2nd choice for med, I doubt they will this year. So the choice is urs, also study hard, current affairs, physics, chem bio, maths, english for the putme, but find out from last thread the question format. All the best man, we all would rejoice this year.

Lasu isn't on that list OP, their fee is cheap.

Depends on the course, the really competitive one's won't even smell 2nd choice, for other courses, the first priority is given to first choice, if there's now still space then they consider 2nd choice to the best of my knowledge

yes we wrote exams and its English, 100 questions objectives. oral English inclusive. ur first degree result plays so much part too

It's doable, had a colleague who did same last year, he's preparing for Mb in march. He served in Ogun state(sagamu area), his school was Unilag. So he used to settle his ppa then leave school for CDS on his CDS days(thursday)

Maths is almost always required for entry, so If the result would be out before the putme I guess you can re-write waec and try to score better all round your subject. Law is competitive.

hi all, just came across this thread. I just got admission to study medicine through direct entry, but the problem is that am currently serving. I don't know if I should forfeit the service and enter school or to defer my admission and finish youth service. or to do the both at a time by being a ghost Corper and being in school. your advice plssss. its really urgent.

If the school is in the same state as your service area, you can settle the people at your PPA, and still be attending school, or to ghost it totally. You would still have to attend CDS tho. My sister go to school, there is always a way around it. Opportunity gotten may not be easily regained. All the best.

Most times people might be tempted that the surgeon was his dad, like a sexist approach to medical fields.

I THINK ABU Allows for 2 sitting but then considering the competition of MBBS, I will advise you get a complete single result. I know how it may feel writing Olevel exam again but then its the best solution.
But if you don't mind a Bsc degree of other courses in college of medicine(biochemistry, physiology etc), you could apply with your present result while you get yourself a formidable olevel result. Still making suggestions, you can decided to finish the bsc course and apply for DE.

Waec is still needed for DE, plus DE sef isn't sure nowadays.
