Please who has heard of or used Marks Medcial Biochem, I have bin using it for a while and it seems really good, there a clinical question on every page so you are able to apply what you are reading in a clinical setting. Or do u feel am wasting my time, cus ain't heard it being mentioned before

They give bonus marks to lazy students who rested while they should have worked and laid their fate on an unprecedzented ''miracle'' while the restless hard-working/worked students were rewarded with either hand-to-mouth scores or narrowly-escaped scores. unmerited marks for short!

That's too bad. They'll increase the mortality rate in Nigeria with these arts or frustrate students to becoming something else negative.
This is extremely unhealthy. You paid for an exam and your score won't be judged well. It's devastating joor!!
How is Nigeria supposed to happen *developed* one day with these unfair or unguarded carelessness?

God help Nigeria. We are giants even in negativities, we rate in large percents.. Too bad!

Welcome to nigeria once again. Plus that's life, the race ain't to the swiftest... so I guess that's what happened. No worries we Nigerians our minds more stable than to be thinking of suicide lol

None that I know of, this thread is for both DE and UTME

No single preference.... there's nothing like that... i graduated from there and my younger ones are there... either competitive or not competitive course... perform well in your postutme... you get the admission.... most ppl don't choose state unis as first choice and they are aware of that cos most if not all federal unis don't accept second choice....

Oh oh, ionno sha cus last year dey didn't consider 2nd choice for med Direct Entry

pls, my jamb result just came out and I saw 201 as my score, I know this can't b my score ....I expected a score above 90 in biology because dey were all past questions but I saw 53 as my score, I don't know how I got 21 in use of English ...... so medics, is there any federal university I can apply to for medicine with this score, a university dat doesn't utilize jamb score for admission

Lemme correct you... Lasu does not care about you choosing them first or second choice....Just have the necessary ssce subjects...required utme score and perform well in your postutme...you would get ur admission as far as merit list is concerned ....

Toor, what I know is for competitive courses preferences was given to first choice after which second choice

After applying for a school that 'cherishes' JAMB score, and scoring as low as 233, I can see clearly my dream to study medicine dying.

It's cool JAMB added 40 marks which elevated the
marks of a lot of candidate. bhu it's painful and
annoying seeing some people complaining about

The truth is this : if JAMB had decided not to add a
single mark to anyone's result, NOBODY , I mean
NOBODY will do anything about it . not even you

What we ought to be doing now is appreciating the
work of our heavenly Father for proving his word

not ranting trash like this is not mah result!


Please, let's all learn to be appreciative. A lot of
people are yet to see their results, some were
marked absent. I know of a girl who had an
accident and died a day to her exam and yet,
you're here even with 230, you still ranting trash
even when your school cut off is 180.... . let's be
great ful...

...i took jamb again this year they sent 183.i was so shocked cos i was xpecting lyk 260...so i heard jamb is nw adding 40 marks i decided to check lo nd behold its nw 223...am so devastated despite nt reading that much nd never attended tutorial last year i got higher...nw that i dedicated all my time to reding nd tutorial this whatbi got....i am so frustrated.pls is there is still hope for me at unilag for medicine......

You can still get medicine, it depends on the school, with UI they don't use UTME just ur PUTME, don't be distraught

If I were you, I wouldn't choose unilag, you have to know someone or have strong assurances from God, plus the only admit only 7-10 or less for DE. Don't even bother picking lasu or any other university as second choise for medicine you would just hope for nothing, been there done that. My advice pick a school where you would have to write exam like Unilorin, Unizik nd the likes, if you are choosing Lasu you might as well choose em 1st nd second, cus no uni will look at second choice. Guys I'm almost dead.......I'm so perplexed that I all I can think of is dying. I'm an aspiring medic and I participated in the UTME exam conducted on the 29th of February. To cut the long intro short, I received a text message from JAMB claiming that my UTME score is 240(which I totally disagree ). They claim my composite scores are: English -47 Biology-43 ( how on earth is this score feasible) chemistry-96(was expecting 98 tho) physics -54 (funny enough I have an upper hand in physics on a normal day so I aimed for 98-100) Once again guys I need your advice, do I contact JAMB possibly for a review of my scores or just die in pains. I dedicated months towards studying every minute detail in my physics and chem textbook and this (240) is my reward SMH........BTW this is my second time of writing JAMB and I know by God's grace and my preparation I can NEVER get a score below 280, so where on earth did 240 come from

It's not by power bro, first go and pray. If you really sure of what u did take it up, go to jamb, ask for a review.

Similar thing happened to a friend, she was given 200 in jamb, among other people and they swear that's not their score, it's a serious something

Na prayers sure pass, I guess you should be able to complain to jamb, write letters of complaints or something?

Hello docs, I heard that most students especially the brilliant students usually fail first incourse or get really low scores. What would students like us that weren't dons in chemistry or prodigies in physics now do.. ejoor it's scary oh.

The question is asking you to discuss the pathogenesis of polio viral infection and also the mechanism of formation of a specific immunity against a specific pathogen secondary to infection.
1.Musa was infected with the polio virus through the oral pharynx or respiratory tract.After viral replication in the oropharynx and small intestine(esp.within the lymphoid tissue),the virus spreads through the blood stream to the CNS.this it can also do by retrograde movement along the nerve axons.In the CNS,the virus preferentially replicate in the motor neuron located in the anterior horn of the spinal cord.This leads to the death of this cells which inturn leads to the paralysis of musa' muscles innervated by these neurons.
2.Abubakar was not paralysed because he received the salk(killed) or the sabin(life attenuated) vaccine which induced humoral antibodies production against the polio virus.During the epidemic,these antibodies neutralized the virus that entered the blood.hence,preventing them from causing CNS infection and disease.
