Osila2: His main target is to emigrate and have permanent stay and it looks like the investment route is a bit high considering the 200,000 CAD - 500,000 CAD involved but checking up the current exchange rate now I discovered that USD 59,000 is higher than CAD 200,000.
Do you have a better alternative to enable him achieve his aim? Actually, 59,000USD equals 78,319CAD. |

ananne: Can I gain admission to do a PhD programme in criminology and security studies with an HND in microbiology? My job is security based. You can't seek admission into a direct Ph.D program with a B.Sc/HND degree in Nigeria. Nevertheless, it is very feasible for deluxe students to get a direct fully-funded Ph.D admissions in the United States. Things you need to do: Graduate with a stellar CGPA, and prepare for the GRE and ace it. Regards. |

Emir0147: Good morning house first timer, I want to do my master in USA and am not looking for an expensive school, MBA in Bus Admin or HR related. I need your help and steps to take also I need your help in this area which is can I apply with my HND upper credit or the PGD that I just finish last year in National Open University of Nigeria my fear is that is NOUN recognized over there? To buttress HelkayKlassic's basis. NOUN certificates are of international standard. The only difference which can be noticed between NOUN and conventional universities is their mode of studies. In term of studies, you take responsibilities for your studies, unlike in conventional academic institutions, where they mostly depend on lecturers for lectures. However, a lot of students has raised unnecessary and extrinsic concern about the validity and acceptability of NOUN certificate. One thing, should be clear and that is, the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is a well-recognized academic institution, which is solely owned and funded by the Federal Government of Nigeria, and regulated by the National Universities Commission (NUC). Regards. |

Helkayklassic: 1. Please is there anyone here who has collected a notification of degree result from National Open University before the certificate is issued?
2. Is there anyone here who knows someone who has collected a notification of degree result from National Open University before the certificate is issued?
I am also a graduate of Noun, through with my programme May this year. I haven't seen anyone who has collected notification of result before the issuance of certificate. The main reason i have not started any application. I want to have my certificate with me before i apply.
CC: Don4ye, a fellow Nouite need your help here. Feasibly, your certificate will be ready next year January, if only you meet up with the required credit units. NOUN gives out certificate to graduands every first month of the year (January), during convocation, which is one of the 'ample endowment' of the National Open University of Nigeria. Per contra, you do not need to wait till next year January before you start your application. Request for your transcript to be sent to the school you're applying to. This can be done at the NOUN headquarters, pending the time your certificate would be issued. Best of luck! |

lakesidepapa: Good evening nounites, As NLC will embark on nationwide strike starting from tomorrow, hope it will not hinder the on going CBT exam as noun workers may join them.
Cc:Hiswords7, Obinoscopy, MimiHANS, petomas,Donbrowser26 et al Genuinely, NOUN doesn't go on strike unlike Conventional Universities. However, if the indefinite strike probably starts tomorrow, there would be mass demonstrations across the Country. Protesters/Agitators will shut down Filling Stations and form human barriers along motorways, thereby barring movements of people (NOUN Officials/Students inclusive) from one place to another. |

mrpunter: Hello All.. Guys i am a lil confused. Dont know the course i can go for that is more of reading and writing and less of calculations. My dream course was Tourism, But i cant find it among the course outline anymore. Please will it be brought back or they dont offer it anymore, or can someone suggest another good course for me. Thanks for your time Considerately, I/We are not in the best position to recommend a Course of Study for you. Passionately, you should be the one to choose a Course of Study that your heart desires, as mentioned by you. NOUN do offer Hospitality Management (B.Sc.). Tourism Management and Hospitality Management go hand in hand. You would find it difficult to think of a tourism experience that did not include some form of hospitality provision/accouterments. Judiciously, you can opt for their Hospitality Management programme and I assure you, you won't regret doing so in the long run. Best of Luck! |

You can precisely continue from where you stopped. Welcome Back! |

Macgreat: Hi all,
What are the process of registration for DE(direct Entry) What are the requirements?
What study center is closest to Ketu and Iyana ipaja. -For DE (200L) applicants, a minimum of Upper Credit is required from an institution recognised by the Senate of NOUN -Procure a NOUN DE form (#5000) at any Zenith Bank (or Banks approved by NOUN) nearest to you. Punch in to their site www.nou.edu.ng to complete the online application form. Go along with the print out and your credentials to your proposed Study Centre for scrutiny. |

jorhney: guys help, am a compt sci/mathematics student 400l . was planning on registering my project this semester but there are 2 diff projects in my portal mtn499 and cit499 do I do the 2 or pick one You are required to register for both CIT499 and MTH499 due to the dual/joint degree. Your final year involves a research project that draws/cut across the knowledge of Computer Science and Mathematics as well as offering a range of options to allow specialisation in different aspects of both courses. So, you should also know that, this joint degree (BSc Hons) offers the opportunity to combine an appreciation of mathematical reasoning with an understanding of computing. Divine Favour Awaits You! |

ebiye55: Is there any way I can meet my fellow course mates, or is it till exam period? On NOUN iLEARN, you can locate fellow course-mates, other students within your Study Centre and all your facilitators. NOUN is an Open & Distance Learning University; implying that physical interaction between fellow students and facilitators is limited. If a student must get the required network, avenues that go beyond physical interaction must be available. And this is one of the benefits of NOUN iLEARN. To boot, you can as well join a study group with your cohorts at your SC or better still, relate with your course-mates on this infamous internet forum (Nairaland). Regards! |
