I want to apply with my OND (Upper credit), and in January, will it be late by then?
You can go ahead.

However, before you proceed, you're required to have a prerequisite number of 'O' Level credit passes. And, your OND Cert must come from a sanctioned institution in Nigeria.

Or better still, check this link www.noun.edu.ng for more info.

thanks for d answer but which Will u advice he goes for, biz admin or pub admin. thanks again.
In my opinion, Degree in Public Administration teaches students how to fulfill administrative positions in public and nonprofit organisations, including schools, health services and regulatory agencies.

While, a Degree in Business Administration centers on private sector management and prepares students for work within a certain sector of business like finance, marketing and management which can even encompass Public Administration in its functions.

#He should opt for Business Administration due to its versatility and ambidexterity.

plz between business admin and public admin which is better and more lucrative in d Nigerian labour market and which of dem involves more calculations? a friend wants to buy d noun undergraduate form and he needs advice, he has problems with calculations (maths) but wants to do a lucrative course, which would you guys advice he goes for and why? thanks. waiting for comments, contributions nd suggestions.....
Both courses are Maths-Oriented. And you do not have to be brilliantly/outstandingly good at Mathematics before you can put in for either of the two courses. You should expect fair to middling calculations for the both.

Marketability/Productivity/Bankability doesn't depend only on the course one studied, it depends on the person. There are many graduates of these courses who are still jobless. That shows that there is a difference between paper qualification and employabilty. The most important thing is to invest in yourself and have fervor for what you want to do.
The question is, what do you have to offer?

can one switch between study center ?
You can feasibly change your SC whenever you desire. However, it is prudent to do that, few weeks before your exams. It is more fitting you have your file transferred to your desired SC before the commencement of exams.

This impending Federal universities strike is going to affect us?
One of the commendable endowments of the National Open University of Nigeria is their "Immunity to National Strike."

They are resistant to National Strike, unlike the ASUU and ASUP.
A good reason why students should love NOUN.

Openly, applying with your husband's last name would be fancied.

REASONS:
-Your status has changed from Single to Married.
-Your NYSC discharge certificate is bearing your husband's last name.
-To avoid discrepancies.

please need advice on which course to choose that is stress free at Ikeja SC. public admin or Business admin. dont know which to choose.
There is no such thing as an easy course in the University.

I believe the difficulty of a course is relative. What is difficult for someone can be a walk in the park for others. It depends on your approach, perseverance and doggedness. You also need to know your area of interest and your capacity as well.

Read well, ask questions, be focused and you will be fine.

Please can anyone confirm if submission has begun?

Also, I am yet to submit my registration file and other documents. Hope that isnt late yet?
-Submission of project proposal has begun.

-It's not too late. However, make sure you submit your documents this month or better still, next year January.

Once I visited my school (OAU) a friend who studied law in NOUN asked me to confirm if OAU accepts first degree cert from NOUN. He was interested in applying for masters in OUA. To my utmost dismay, I was told that NOUN has not legalised their program, that it's not accredited by NUT. As such, OAU does not accept a cert. from there. And I wonder why a university established by Federal govt. Itself is not accredited.

The truth is they have the best study material ever. Lecturers from conventional universities make use of their study materials. I remember when I had an assignment in school, I researched online and It happened that the result I clicked on was NOUN study material. Believe me, I never got such a rich material from my own school. I even discovered that My lecturer was given us notes from same material verbatim.

Despite all these, the school is not accredited, it's too bad. I think you guys who attend or are attending or have the intention of studying there should fight this so that your labour won't be in vain. In fact, I wanted to shout it out to the whole world on all media I know that NOUN is toying with the future of Nigerian, making people waste their fund.

Take for instance, their law students are yet to go to law school. This makes me believe that they are not accredited. If they were their students will be attending law school just like students from other universities. So trade carefully.
Respectfully, Ma'am, I would advise you to come up with 'Constructive Criticisms' in your subsequent write-up.

Regarding your statement and I quote "NOUN has not legalised their program, that it's not accredited by NUT." One will see how you've been misguided. Reason: NUC (Nigerian Universities Commission) is a commission solely in charge of accreditation and not NUT (Nigeria Union of Teachers).

Ma'am, the National Open University of Nigeria is an accredited Institution and you can quote me anywhere. A friend of mine graduated from NOUN with a Second Class Lower Division (3.41CGPA) and he's currently undergoing his Second Degree at the infamous University of Lagos.

So, I pray you, make a comprehensive and in-depth research about "Anything and/or Something" before posting any kind of baseless, nefarious and ill-fated comments on a public forum.

God Bless!

Good afternoon all... Please is there anyone in the house who has successfully completed their JAMB regularization process.

I started mine but my course of study is not listed in the drop down menu for courses In the JAMB website.

All numbers in NOUN website has been switched off for days and no email reply either from all their addresses which is quite discouraging.

Has anyone encountered similar problem or knows a solution to this?
I have favorably completed mine. Science and Tech tho.
I think you should hold on. Hopefully, the issue will soon be rectified. You can actually retry it next week Monday.

I am aaster student in Info tech. I am in the second semester now. Can I submit my project topic now? How? Want to finish as early as possible
Yes, you can submit your project proposal after you must have registered for your next Courses. REASON: It will show and/or be included with the course units you've amassed in your portal. It is a 'very good' notion to submit your project proposal earlier so as to be assigned a supervisor on time and to finish as early as possible.

I believe you're from Ibadan SC coz I was opportuned to see one of your previous comments regarding Ibadan SC.
Go to one of the cafes in the school premises. They have the exact replica of the project proposal. You can as well make a copy there. However, take your three project topics along.

Pls i just applied for PGDE today, after meeting the necessary requirements, this is what i got:

*Application Status: Not Admitted
Sorry! You did not meet the Admission Requirements for B.Sc. Mass
Communication, thus online admission is denied! However, you can use
the link below to print your Application Form for future reference.
You may also consider changing to another course
****If you feel you are qualified, kindly mail support@noun.edu.ng for
a review of your application. Remember to quote your form number

I did first degree pub admin, 3rd class and i applied for education (PGDE) which the only available course in PGD. Please i need help.
Ma'am, what I can deduce from this is, it's likely you erroneously applied for B.Sc. Mass Communication while filling the online form. One of the reasons why applicants need to be very conscientious in the process of filling the online form.

In the nutshell, go to your proposed SC with the print-out for a review of your application.

Intellectuals in the house, please when is NOUN likely to kick start their masters in English Language programme,i applied for the course since April this year but the course is not among the listed MA courses on the application page?
With due respect, this question is beyond our scope/sphere.

It is the responsibility of the Senate of the National Open University of Nigeria to make provision for the organisation and control of courses of study.

Thanks!

Please I would like to make enquiries about NOUN Direct Entry
What is the first step?
Is two sitting allowed?
Is transcript compulsory?
1)
The registration is done exclusively online.
Obtain a form from any NOUN approved banks nearest to you.
You're required to visit their website www.noun.edu.ng and click on "Application Form"
After you might have conscientiously filled the form online, print it out and punch in to your proposed SC with your credentials for screening.

2)
NOUN do accept two sittings.

3)
They don't actually demand for transcript. Your certificates/credentials are enough.

please am a new student, i heard a total number of 120 unit of courses is required for graduating and the maximum number of course unit i could register per semester is 24unit ....... my question is if i kip registering 24unit in all semester i bliv i would av meet up with the required number of course unit(120unit) by the end of my 300level 2nd semester,,,,,,,, will i be allowed to graduate by then ?
From a thoughtful context, as a Fresher, I think you should be concerned with your first year Courses and the consecutive ones rather than anticipating on how to round-up your first degree within 3years.

It's not mandatory for you to register up to 24unit Courses per semester. In my opinion, I'll charge you to register 15-20units per semester. 15-20units (7-10 Courses) is okay, if you put Course workload, Time constraints, Monetary/Financial aspect and your overall performance into mental analysis.

Additionally, 15-20units will amount to a minimum of 120units for a four year Course. Do this so as to salvage yourself from any kind of herculean tasks.

Take Your Time, Don't Rush and Don't Allow Yourself To Be Rushed!
