Family › Re: Giving Birth To Your Own Child Is Not A Sacrifice by Mindlog: 9:24am On Nov 28, 2023
Solofresh2:
I came across this thread https://www.nairaland.com/7922825/husband-before-ask-wife-what and I see the OP trying to justify the saying "what does a woman brings to the table" anthem by men nowadays.
Saying a woman facing a difficult time giving birth to her child is a sacrifice is a no no.It is natural for a woman to give birth to a child, either difficulty or not. It is also natural for a man to releases sperm,so as to impregnate a woman.
If a man find it difficult to impregnate a woman, will you call that a sacrifice too?
Infact, sacrifice is when a man provides everything for his woman because it is not compulsory.
Anybody can make money to provide for their own needs, not always waiting for your man to do everything for you.
It is your responsibility as a woman to carry your pregnancy if you want a child.

Mynd44,nlfpmod,seun please front page .Thank you
No, in today's world it is an option as not every woman is biologically able to get pregnant or carry a pregnancy to full term.....that is why surrogacy exists as an option for such women who intend to have children.

There is another group of women who struggle with tokophobia (intense fear of pregnancy, which makes them do everything possible to avoid getting pregnant and giving birth even when sexually active) and this is a mental health condition that needs intense cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) sessions to challenge it.

I don't understand you, DHL is the commonest and people do use them. they are even most popular. they can charge around 40k on a kg of garri on air export service.
Before doing my business, I got contact of like 50 exporters before getting cheapest.
I do export to East Africa weekly through air using agents at the NAHCO shed Lagos, it costs about $5 per kg to get to my store there but because it is a lightweight product, 8 of it make up one kilo, I get to make my profit and can't use DHL for that

You don’t need to be legally married to divorce.

In other terms, break the union.
Trying to spin it with another off point....which union are they to break, they are just cohabiting and no expectations from each other.

that's only possible if it was moved through ship. movement of a kg of goods to UK alone is around 6 USD per kg through flight, that's not DHL o, DHL service is very costly. So, it's possible the goods was sent through ship.
Why would anyone want to export with high cost of shipping?

There's nothing like variation brother, too much Grammar can kill, I don't know how many years you spent in Imo, buh I've been with so many dialects in Imo State, non calls it jiakpu mmiri, like I said before, Ikeduru, mbano, mbaise sometimes call cassava "Jiapu" base on nickname wether it is processed or not, buh generally known as eberebe Jiapu or Akpummiri for processed and shredded cassava and akpu olulo for processed and waiting to be enjoyed with well cooked soup.
Unlearn and relearn
You can't tell me what my people call it and maybe my parents and relatives also don't know what it is called!

You need to unlearn that fixation that no community call it ji akpu mmiri.

Ji akpu mmiri is what it is! cool

It is a Catholic Church, infact there are more than one priest at the altar. The pattern of the chairs also is too Catholic, Catholic Church like wooden long chairs die.
In the Catholic Church, one Priest is enough to officiate a wedding.

The design and length of the pews is not exclusive to the Catholic Church, haven't you been to an Anglican Church?

Once again, zoom to the officiating minister's vestment......that could be either Anglican or Methodist.

Peter`s carbon footprint calls for serious concern.

The rate at which he wastes aviation fuel and petrol on frivolous jamborees calls for serious deliberation and stringent actions.

In a world of today, where dedicated and patriotic leaders are conserving energy, and opting for renewable energy, Peter is bent on polluting and degrading the environment.

It's a Catholic Church, the wedding may likely be annulled.

Although I doubt it, BUT if she had come a bit earlier before the vows, the wedding go don cast be that, the priests won't solemnise it.
It is not a Catholic Church, look closely at the vestments.

You're right

We call that one abacha mmiri in my part of Anambra, goes well with coconut
It goes well with coconut and we also prepare it like the regular Abacha, going further to add ugba (ukpaka) to it. Another unique way we consume is by mixing it with odudu(Africa yam bean) with regular mix of potash, palm oil, ogiri etc.

Missing it! cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

Abacha na local dish made from cassava, consumed in southern part of Nigeria especially Enugu and parts of Anambra state.

Imolites also consume it, my side call it ji akpu mmiri , the difference is only in the shredding as we use knife to achieve the thin slices while Enugu shred with that metal hand shredder to achieve that noodle look.
