Prospertochu:The boys are not even living with you but with relatives, that counts against you as you are not in a position to be the primary care giver of the boys. They are triplets, their separation is not good for their overall development as they have to live and grow under the same roof irrespective of the issues between you and their mother, they are not slices of bread that each of you would choose the ones you want. Get your state's social care/welfare office involved, to work out an arrangement that would benefit the triplets and that would be in the direction of the 3 children living with their mother while you make provisions for them in terms of feeding, education, healthcare etc and also arrange how often you go visit them, if possible work out time they can come spend some of their school holidays with you and video calling them on WhatsApp must be regular. In as much as you feel that your mother and sister have been taking good care of the boys, they are just the boys' grandmother and aunt, not their mother who is still alive and not clinically diagnosed to be mentally unstable nor abusing substances. You both should not allow your egos lead to using your children' lives as a battlefield. |
Nice one. |
Fearyourcreator:I have never helped anyone back home and nor even built a room in Nigeria. |
Fearyourcreator:I live here in the UK. |

jaksmillioniar:The cheapest return flight tickets to South Africa for just one person is about N1.3m. |
Based on your narration, i believe she is on Psychotropic medication and a possible issue here is adherence,is she taking the dosage regularly as prescribed? You and your sisters should work on getting her an adult live-in carer who will oversee her daily functioning, house cleaning, meal preparation, laundry, appointments etc. She would immensely benefit from talk therapy, try to engage a certified therapist for her because there is a whole lot of psychoanalysis that needs to be done to unpack a lot of things clogging her mind I hope she gets better managed |

thelegend1:If you are earning £10 per hour and working 40 hrs in a week, in 4 weeks it will be £1,600 UK govt will not tax the first £1,047.50 because that is your tax-free allowance and would only tax the balance of £552.50. For that £552.50 the income tax will be £110.35 while the National Insurance will be £66.3, it then means the total tax to pay is £176.65 The estimated take-home pay for the month will be £1,423.35 |
DaddyJapan:While over 65% of Nigerians are in food insecure households, compare that! |
Difrent:In those 2 years, how much have Nigerians living in the UK remitted back to Nigeria and would still remit for more years to come? You should be "madder" at Nigerian politicians who also got subsidized education at different levels, they steal public funds and run to the UK anc other Western countries to enjoy world class healthcare services and most times offered by Nigerian healthcare practitioners they frustrated ouf of Nigeria! I support any healthcare professional who wants to japa, anybody whey no like am make im vex go write JAMB and study the related courses to show us how patriotic he or she is. |
musicwriter:The Nurse was not fired in Nigeria, Nigeria is not same as the UK. The patient she prayed for has every right to sue her and the management of the health facility for traumatizing him/her through the "imposing" a religious activity on him or her. I also work here in the UK in a clinical role, during induction we were taught to keep our religious views, activities and beliefs to ourselves, if a patient requests for any form of religious engagement, the appropriate steps to take. |
descarado:I do somehow because I had beautiful memories growing up there, experienced the neighbourhood evolving, made lifelong friends, played outdoors to my satisfaction (it inspired my postgraduate's dissertation which focused on children' outdoor play) and it was really colourful but as an adult now, I feel so disconnected whenever I am there. |
emorse:I also work in a clinical setting here in the UK and I am aware of my boundaries no matter how e dey shack me! |
slaawomirr:She went beyond her terms of engagement, she ought to have restricted herself to her assigned clinical role. |
Zonefree:They do, though I am not a fan of permanently living in Lagos as it no longer holds any allure for me, having been born and raised there. |
Zonefree:Cheap but I doubt it is Lagos! |
Zonefree:Not bad. How much is the plantain? |
If you are thinking of leaving the school, will you also leave every place of work when you have bullies as co-workers? |
1MILLIONLiGHTS:Read wetin? ![]() Some back then were good at jumping school fences, beating up teachers and "gbegun" (exam malpractices) ![]() |
Nice one. Some of them were probably part of those who fought during inter house sports back in the day! Do Lagos public secondary schools still fight during inter house sports? ![]() |
Beautiful kitchen, money well spent. |
In 2053 if Nigeria still exists then as presently constituted, NFF will owe the coach. |
ERCROSS:Those negatives are not "correctives" but used to instill fear and repression in adolescents as not values that would wholesomely mould the young person and positively help them sail through life better. |
There are children living under the same roof with both parents who are emotionally unavailable for their children, who have normalized neglect and abuse of different forms and those children turn out to become dysfunctional adults. The more responsible and balanced of the two parents, will have a higher chance of raising a wholesome child ....it is not a single father vs single mother debate, it is about the personhood of the parent not the gender. |
FuckingMachine:As a single guy, 40 hrs of a week pay of minimum wage should take care of the month's rent in many neighbourhoods. Minimum wage will increase next year's April to £11.44 per hour. |
