Venue: XYZ Neuropsychiatric Hospital.

Interviewer: Why do you want to do your practicum (internship) in this facility?

Me: Actually, this facility wasn't my first choice as I had interest somewhere else but their openings have been filled and working in a psychiatric facility is trauma unlimited. cheesy

One hour later......interview no gree spoil, I sadly collected a letter of acceptance and faced my worst nightmares in psychiatric wards. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy
Politics › Re: Nigeria Cant Go Forward With No Light Or Poor Electricity by Mindlog: 7:53am On Nov 30, 2023
MEEVEET:
Name one thing lack of electricity is stopping Nigerians from doing that would make us move forward

I dare you name it
Post harvest preservation.

For example, thousands of tonnes of fruits and veggies like mangoes, avocadoes, pears, bananas, cabbage, pepper, lettuce etc that go to waste daily with over all market value running into billions of naira that could have been preserved in lower temperature using 24hrs electricity, I guess that is in no way affecting Nigeria's food security.

Enlightening. Married folks should take this into consideration.
It is very important while embarking on such journey to make sure that the samples of father, mother and child(ren) are taken, to be certain that the woman is the biological mother of the child(ren) and there was no baby swapping during birth.

This means you can run the test at home without taking any of your kids to the lab. You'll only take the kit itself to the lab after taking samples by yourself right? grin grin grin

If yes, many people can do it without the spouse knowing.
It is nothing new, Home DNA test kits have been in the market for over 15 years now.

Even without this kit, one can get a new toothbrush and have the child use it exclusively to brush his or her teeth and the father send both his used toothbrush alongside that of the child to the designated lab for analysis. The toothbrush Mohbad used while alive can provide sample for DNA testing the son.

After his brain has been reset, he can now lawyer up and sues for infringement upon his freedom of speech and fundamental human rights..that's some cool way to became a teenage millionaire

Some lots musicians have said worst and allude to crimes in their songs and music videos but are not hunted with arrest, prosecution and jail term or sent to an adult correctional facility.
Being arrested for bragging about rape is not an infringement upon his freedom of speech and fundamental human rights......ask a lawyer around you for more enlightenment.

Even here in the UK where teenagers have so many liberties.....police, social workers etc will be involved when a teenager go "catching cruise" about rape and having such in their records is not a good thing for their future, job-wise because recruiters will easily have access to that record through the DBS check.

descartes400:
If rape has been committed and there's a victim, isn't the victim suppose to have reported to her parents or guardians...who would definitely have reported it to the authorities to do the needful?

But in this case we have a juvenile who is boasting or probably catching cruise online with his fellows in order to look larger than he is..

so should he be arrested, prosecuted and jailed for a crime that's unproven and no victim to corroborate?
He will be arrested, If found to have committed the crime he will be spending some years in confinement but if ascertained to be a juvenile and was just "catching cruise", he will be ending at up at the Special Correctional Centre for Boys in Oregun where his brain will be reset on how not to "catch cruise" online.

I think the govt need to enforce the use of native names as first names on birth certificate. Make it compulsory.

In times like these, you just have to ignore what the citizens want. Else, these are the steps we'll keep taking until we lose our heritage.

Our major setback would be\ is tribalism.
Government can not enforce it as it would be legally contested in court and government will certainly lose that case.... Nigeria is not North Korea. cheesy

Travel › Re: Japa - Western Countries Scamming Nigerians? by Mindlog:
Throwback:
UK is very determined to scam Nigerians who have resolved that they would rather die trying to succeed in a country that does not allow success.

That country that does not allow success is UK, not Nigeria.
And Buhari's govt acknowledged 133 million multidimensionally poor Nigerians, almost 70% of Nigerians....why didn't those Nigerians succeed?

If one is legally resident in the UK and earning minimum wage as a single young man or woman who works 60hrs (5 days) a week, at the end of the month, the take home pay after National insurance and Income Tax is £2,177.01 for the month.

Spends £150 on transportation.
Spends £600 on rent and utilities.
Spends £150 on food and drinks
Spends £200 on clothing and footwears
Spends £50 on toiletries.
Spends £250 on other expenses inclusive of health

If after every, every he/she saves £500 (N720K) monthly, is the minimum wage earner of N30K in Nigeria more "successful" than the one in the UK?

Even if I am offered a N1.5m monthly salary job in Nigeria......I will NOT even consider it.

True. How can one pinpoint their area of origin using English names?
Some who claim to be "born again" , wipe out native names.
