There is still a lot of job openings in the social care sector here in the UK, especially working with children and young persons though the recruitment process is very detailed with firms that know their onions.

On a lighter note, there was a patient admitted in a psychiatric facility I worked in and this man was so obsessed that whenever the wife came for visitations, he would angrily demand to know what time she came back from work daily, even other patients would be laughing at his obsession.

I had to get the wife not to visit him for 4 weeks as she needed the break from such a toxic person, while I work on her husband's fu..ckups.

Of course you can educate your loved ones on that as you daily live out that example while not expecting everyone of them to follow that example because personality differs as we have siblings who we grew up with together but formed differently dispite growing up under the same directions of our parents.

Coming from Engineering, I will suggest you go in for accredited Msc. Psychology (conversion), the conversion course is for those who don't have an undergraduate degree in psychology.

Upon finishing the course, the British Psychological Society will grant you graduate membership status which will make you eligible to apply for assistant psychologist jobs in the UK, the NHS regularly have assistant psychologist jobs that has sponsorship attached to them. Even the UK prisons are in dire need of mental health professional to work in the system....you can always still go back to school to study nursing.

There is a Nairalander who I have forgotten his name, he studied philosophy in Nigeria, he came to the UK and did his Msc. Psychology conversion and worked in a mental health facility as a student, I recall him posting about him being his psychology program and applying for Msc mental health nursing back then in 2021, I don't know how it worked out for him.

Have a relative who wanted to enlist into the Nigeria Army, family meetings on top im head...he was told to go to Aba to go learn leather works while studying part time as dem no born pikin whey terrorists and bandits go waste.
