It has to go down and Lagos State officials who got bribed to look the other way, get appropriately punished by the government because they allowed the construction to go on. |

Reminderz: and do you know the after effects of that? do you even know how most child who were raised fatherless ended up to be? lol, you don't expect me to point out that to you... a little research from your end will do justice to that...
and again, when I said women will mostly be the ones bearing the brunt if men decides not to get married is not because it will stop women from becoming mothers or not... it's because the benefits women see in marriage and the security it provides favours them more than men... they invests less, they risks less while enjoying the most benefits... even the children that's the product of the marriage mostly ends up catering to their mothers more... so tell me, what does men really have to lose when there's an easy way for them? if not because of religion or our innate sense of morality, most men would rather remain unmarried... even the ones that married, some of them are crying out seeking help, week in week out...
men can perform independently... in fact, they make wonders when they do that, women need men more than men need women and there's nothing that can change this fact... In your own words, what is the easy way? I guess you mean in Africa? |
Family › Re: How Do We Solve This Big Societal Marriage Problem? by Mindlog: 8:46am On Oct 18, 2023 |
Reminderz: yeah, the thing is most people set unrealistic standards from themselves... but the fact still remain, more men are realising they have much to lose and little to gain when it comes to that commitment, so very few are willing to take that risk... all things being equal, it's a known fact that women benefits from marriage more... many are also not of marriageable quality but we mostly look at the financial aspect of it..
but let it be known that, if men decides to stop getting married, women mostly will be the ones bearing the brunt... How will that stop women from becoming mothers or children growing and thriving without their biological fathers? The reality is that what defines family in today's world is fast evolving as there is a subtle and deliberate increase of families without husbands and fathers in the family pictures. |

Truths9ja: the guy won’t be deported cos’ the sacked guy will understand things and it’s been done in UK. The guy will surely overcome his challenges in uk 🇬🇧 I am also on that UK skilled work visa (in a clinical role) and I know that if sacked and the sponsorship withdrawn, the company is obligated to inform Home office of the sack and Home office will write you, giving you 60-day period to apply for a new visa or make arrangements to leave |

Truths9ja: watch the video very well, he interviewed the sacked guy to know about what happened. What I just know is that the interviewer promised the sacked guy that he won’t be deported to Nigeria. He has only 60 days to look for another sponsored job. If he fails to get one within that time, back to Nigeria or he becomes illegal. |

He deserves the sacking.
Was he expecting to be covered up with his repeated sleeping on duty?
You work at night, be disciplined enough to sleep during the day. I also worked as a waking night support worker in a children home, resuming at 8p.m and ending at 8a.m. The second staff was paid to sleep in the home from 8p.m to 8a.m, only woken up if there is an emergency. If I had dozed off because it was night and no one would know, then the young person sneaks out of the house and ends up harmed...it will be over for me.
I slept during day, then from 10p.m when the young person has slept off, I worked on my laptop or watched NETFLIX in the lounge as the hours rolled by.
It is very risky covering up another staff who was sleeping while on shift with you...when incident happen, you go explain tire. |

The parents of the baby ought to have been arrested for getting a 14 year old as the childminder, if you can't be at home to care of your baby then have the baby taken to a creche....if you don't have money for that or to hire an adult trained in childminding, DON'T HAVE CHILDREN! |

maasoap: They should consider education as something of value. Getting people married doesn't prevent them from giving education the attention it deserves. One doesn't prevent the other from being looked into. You don't actually have a point relating your comment to this topic. It is their culture that neglects education, not the govt sponsored marrieges.
Is that your fantasy? Lol If one cannot afford to get married on their own financial strength, what is the guarantee that the children from such union getting the basics of child care and education? Fantasizing having sex with hijab wearing prostitutes? No, I will pass as I believe they are okay meeting the sexual needs of their fellow northerners. |

maasoap: Rubbish? That rubbish is the part of why they don't have flourishing baby factories in the North. It is also partly the reason they don't have flourishing Olosho business enterprise. We can join baby mamas that every Nick and Harry is encouraging in the south too. Haven't you seen the increase in the number men who are now exploring the possibility of baby mama? That's marriage institution dying slowly in the south. But already have the distressing numbers of one million out-of-school children in Kano State alone, out of the almost 9 million out-of-school children in the North. Are the hijab wearing prostitutes in the north, not your mothers, sisters and female cousins?
