If you export goods to Kenya, is it wrong after sales and have paid taxes involved not to repatriate your money back to Nigeria?

At the most recent meeting of the Nigerian Bar Association, All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate Kashim Shettima claims he chose to wear shoes to "deliberately snub" the hostile crowd (NBA).

On Monday, the event took place in the state of Lagos. Social media users were enraged at Shettima's attire.

The Labour Party's (LP) nominee for president, Peter Obi, received the highest support from convention attendees.
Shettima said that a particular presidential candidate held meetings to "plot mischief" in a now-viral video footage.

The APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu's running mate did not specify what the alleged mischief was.

"I traveled to Lagos to attend the NBA conference. At the Eko Hotel, the NBA conference took place. The Lagos State APC state government provided the most of the funding, according to the vice presidential candidate.
They then relocated to Eko Atlantic City, which was Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu's brainchild.

"One of the presidential candidates paid his agents when I dispatched my recon team. As a result, they met for three nights to plan mischief.

"When I learned that the crowd was angry,... I'm a banker, and one of the top bankers in the world trained me. I'm a young Jim Ovia. I purposefully wore sneakers as a dig at them.

Discouragement? You actually didn't want to have a taste of it during that period.

I love that combination.

Not really that tithe connects me more to God. I believe that if one believes in something, he has to follow it to the core.
I understand as our individual relationships with God is very unique.

I'm not fanatic about tithe o
Infact, I didn't take tithing serious until I became born again.
Because even if one pay your tithe but still live in sin and die without repentance, he/she will still perish.
But what I am saying is that paying tithe is biblical and we have to do the needful.
You strongly believe tithing connects you more with God while I don't share same not because I am a Catholic, as there are many Catholics who pay tithes monthly in their Parishes during Mass on Sundays ( you can confirm from Catholics around you) but for me, it doesn't flow and it doesn't make me feel less in my journey.

Congratulations OP...I like Peter Obi as well... But this is the best time I wish kids can speak their mind over choice of names...
Put Obi as his middle name if u must.. Give him a reasonable name please and not because of politics..
People name their kids even for reasons that may came off as absurd to us. I met a Kenyan man whose first name is Obierika and that piqued my interest as that is an Igbo name and I asked him if any of his parents had Nigerian roots, he replied no, said his father named him Obierika, after a character in Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart, his father read in secondary school back in the 70s. cheesy

Smiles* you stylishly letting me know that you are resident in Europe (one of the "manifestation" of God in your life).
Bro/Sis some people are here in Nigeria and working for companies in your Europe and earning good money without their next door neighbors knowing about it.

Paul was speaking in one of his epistles and he said that if all that we have to show as the blessings of God in our lives are things that only have to do with our flesh then we are men most miserable.
We glory not in the flesh.
Let's prosper even as our souls prospereth too.
Enjoy your European weather and life.
Stylishly ké? cheesy And who are you to determine what I regard as God's manifestation in my life.

And how you limit God's blessings in my life to "things that only have to do with our flesh " is hilarious because that is what most who are fanatic about Tithing are all about, you hear "Tithe and see how God will prosper you" etc cheesy

You don't know my life's journey neither do I know yours but what I know for certain is TITHING has never been the basis for God's manifestations in my life. wink

I don't know what you want to achieve by twisting the word of God to align with you narrative.
Show me where Christ preached against tithe?
Thank God that you mentioned the widow's mite which is her own tithe.
When Jesus left and his apostles took over, people continued paying tithe in the early church.
An example of such was Ananias and Sapphire who sold their property and brought a portion of it to the church but unfortunately they lied and died.
Christ did not abolish the law, rather he is the fulfilment of the law.

But like I said, you are a Catholic and it's a different thing altogether.
I guess to you Catholicism is a synonym of Atheism cheesy but like l said earlier, tithing is not measurement of one's commitment to God.

There is less focus on tithing by Churches in the West but in Africa where we are from, how fanatic some tend to go about it, is very worrisome. I didn't pay it back then in Nigeria nor am I paying it here in Europe but God has continued to manifest in my life in more ways than I can understand.

Shebi Malachi dey for New Testament as in what Christ preached?

I don't tithe, I put in my widow's mite during offertory and God has been pouring His blessings upon me. I support my Parish by giving up some hours of the week to support their cause and the Church is still serving the community without hammering on tithing.

You are a Catholic na.
Catholic don't follow all that is the Holy Bible.
I am yet to read where Christ said, paying tithes is a measurement of one's Christian faith. I don't align with tithing as in monetary form but supports God's work through my time and skills.
Family › Re: A Honest Advice To All Married Ladies by Mindlog: 10:38am On Aug 26, 2022

I won't spend my time educating you on tithes and it's important since you claimed to be born in a pentecostal church but you choose not to believe in the word of God.
Don't pay tithes to God, live your life like God doesn't exist and believe that your hard work alone will get you to the point you aspire to.

But I will leave you with this statement, "Faith without works is dead"
I would have shared some testimonies with you but your mind is already closed
Not paying tithes, does not mean one believe God doesn't not exist......I personally do not pay tithes and my Parish Priests don't even bring that up as it is very optional.

The north is not interested in that religious calculation Oga.

Since 1999, how many years had Muslim ruled? If that's their calculation, they wouldn't have allowed GEJ to continue after completing Yar'adua tenure in 2011.
North not interested in that calculation? Hmm....is Tinubu not "Muslim enough" to have the North back a Christian amongst them, though minority?

Hmm....So, should Tinubu win, it then means after 8 years of Buhari (a Muslim), then 8 years of Tinubu (a Muslim) after which the North will want to produce the President (another Muslim).....so it becomes how many years of a Muslim being President in a multi-religious country like Nigeria?

Listen my advice for you is to forget about your child and work on yourself,Las when you don't blow like dangote, she'll be the one to come, and once the child becomes an adult, he'll trace his root back to you. That's how things will work
Why should he forget his child, is he a piece of clothing?

How many Nigerian men who "forgot" their child/children over the decades, don "blow like Dangote"?

You are okay with an adult tracing his/her roots, to discuss what and that is if the father is lucky to even be alive with Nigerian men' life expectancy rate?

I guess the relational gaps in such adult's childhood and adolescence, means nothing.

Stop advocating for "when your child grows up, he/she will look for the father".....let fathers be present in the lives of their children no matter the obstacles as long as they are not of verifiable risk to the child, they will certainly have access to their children. There are government offices in different states of Nigeria that do handle getting estranged partners working out co-parenting children who are products of their relationships.

Recently hung out with a group of Nigerians, one of the guys got talking about his British girlfriend and how the lady has been regarding their relationship as recreational despite all his "efforts". Another Nigerian guy suggested he should impregnate her in order to tie her down to him and it led to a heated argument and I insisted that impregnating a woman, does not mean she will carry it to full term if she doesn't want to, especially here abortion pills are legally delivered to one's home by the postman . cheesy
