You are right, being physically and sexually abused will be the likely outcome of outsourcing the caregiving, reason I posted it has to be him 100%, no nanny nor female relatives when the kids' mother is still alive as he has prove he is a hands on father.

I planned to save them to buy a new phone and the likes.

But if a bill arises like NEPA bill, Gas filling etc and no one is around, I usually foot the bill.

This had made me spend unplanned.

As I cannot ask my parents for a refund , what do I do?

Even though you are a student, you are not too young to help out with such when the need arises, so you continue paying for such bills as part of your own financial contribution in running the home until the strike is called off.

My 2 month old niece is suffering from this. What could cause this and the cure.

The rash is all over her neck, privates (I can't post it) and is eating up the hair on her head.

Her parents are so confused right now, the baby cries and barely sleeps. I feel so bad for them.

The exact salary he earned while he worked is exactly what he's earning in pension. I'm sure of that. We've talked to him before. Right from his youth he always had lots of friends, he even trained most of his relative in school. He was also able to build two storey building and has lots of land (Atleast he hasn't remembered to be selling them lol),but because he was in active service he could always finance those ridiculous expenses but now he's a pensioner he still maintains most of his friends draining his pocket. No one asks him for money because our family size is small and all of us are doing well in on our own but Atleast he should learn to manage himself and stop the ridiculous high expense lifestyle. The last time I was with him to a function, he took all of us to a joint and spent alot on us and I got to understand that's his usual routine lol

You dad is not going to change, that lifestyle keeps him going

Mindlog, are you aware of any mental health clinics in Nigeria that offer the Ibogaine treatment for addiction? I did an internet search and readily found several in South Africa, but have yet to find a link to any in Nigeria. And was wondering if there is any other way to find them in Nigeria.

I personally do not know of any though there may be rehab facilities utilizing it and not putting it out there, reason the difficulty in getting any to pop up during search.

It's because he did it illegally.
Through family rites, NGO or a court sitting ...he could have full or partial custody.
He is the kids father and is entitled to that.
No court gives one side of the parent 1000% custody rights unless the other half of the parent is physically or mentally unfit.

And my response was to the poster's saying if he was the one, he would disappear with the child. To the creator of thread, I advised him to seek out social welfare office in his state of residence, to have his son's mother summoned bringing the boy so that co-parenting their son can be worked out.

Uncle, ask any qualified lawyer around you if he can take their son away from the mother....my cousin who took his daughter away from his ex-wife and headed to the east with her to stay with his mother, the ex-wife reported to the Lagos state social welfare office and they got the Lagos state police command to track down my cousin, he was arrested alongside his mother for being an accomplice and both brought back to Lagos while their 4 year old daughter handed back to his ex-wife. It wasn't cheap getting out of that case.

I am not the OP.

He has an obligation to his child and can't just "switch off". The social welfare officials would consider his earnings and also tell the child's mother to get something doing to earn some income.
