there are similarities with gotham's penguin but am n0t saying harw0od is a copy of penguin. Creative works inspire each other. Harw0od is an original creati0n n0t in the c0mics, but put in mind, the show runners may have been inspired to c0me up with a character s0mewhat remniscent of penguin. And am n0t saying within c0ntext of the pennyworth c0ntinuity that harw0od as a character is following in the penguin's f0otsteps. But speaking m0re in the real world setting as to how the writerz may have c0me up with the Harw0od character due to their f0ndness for penguin. Try to undastand my point b4 attacking me.

spiderman came right after x men na. And which CB m0vie started tackling the c0ncept of matured issues CB Movies prior to its release were afraid of addressing? Guy, x men orchestrated the m0ve. It to0k on serious issues and started a line where CBMs aren't just seen as jokes or just heroes in spandex. It talked abt politics and real world issues. B4 X Men which CB film could do that? X men mind u was released in 2000. Spiderman came out 2 yearz after.

1st of, u ask what the meaning 'pinnacle' is, then u ask; 'in what aspect?'; the pinnacle of the early cbm era or the m0dern cbm era? By that time frame, i'd say the pinnacle of c0mic b0ok m0vies is x men. It was the film that ushered an era where CBMs are allowed to feature real world themes and place them into superhero ficti0n. Hence, we started seeing alot m0re of CB characterz being taken seriously. As for Smallville, its greatest achievement was inspiring the arrowverse. It had no influence on c0mic bo0k m0vies but it did influence s0me tv series like the arrowverse and again, inspired the pr0ducerz of Merlin to produce a show abt the mythical arthurian legend.
