Are you sure he wrote those stories you think he wrote? May have been someone else's that he was credited for. Happens a lot. Cause someone who has written great stories doesn't automatically start writing crap on a consistent level. There may be hit and miss but of course the stories would at least make sense. Like the Nolans for example.

The bringing Steve Trevor back doesn't make sense, isn't his body supposed to be decayed or whatever? I mean it's roughly a century plus lol. And why would Ra'as want to raid Themscyra? They certainly don't get the characters but then again, how did they get wind of Jerkin's story?
At this rate they should just do a JL2 movie where they kill off all the characters and start afresh.
The more the residual of the old cast remains, there will be a stumbling block. Give the DCEU an ending then reboot. Totally cause it's obvious there's no plan and people need to move on.

No success is guaranteed even after five films. Do you know why Marvel is still loved? Many teenagers grew up watching Marvel movies in their childhood and some are already adults as we speak. The Marvel momentum was not altered in anyway and it catered for these transitioning demographics. The real issue with DC is the confusion about canceling and rebooting and all that, it makes people lose interest in their projects. No consistency or continuity whatsover. The easiest scapegoat is always to blame Snyder but WB is the biggest issue, for not believing in their projects and being shaky about Box Office cash.

This has always been my point. Very reactionary.
Now imagine it was WB after Iron Man 2 got a divisive critical reception, Hulk, Captain America and Thor didn't make the money they wanted, we surely won't have got what MCU has now. Ant man won't have a sequel, etc.

That's certainly been my point this whole time. Why not just complete the continuity? Why divide the fanbase trying to put your own stamp by rewriting something that is already established and already in progression?

It's very simple to conclude the current story. There's a HBO Max platform, complete Ben Affleck's story with a HBO Max 6 episodes story, likewise with Henry Cavill seeing as the audience hasn't really gotten around them. Then finish the whole thing with a Justice league knightmare storyline then reboot everything with a Flash film but this time with a different cast.
You have completed the established continuity. The other films can be written into the new continuity.

Batgirl was still part of the continuity problem. Batfleck's story isn't closed they're bringing in a franchise from 30 years ago that has already been closed to ditch what is already in motion.
If Batgirl was the continuation of Ben Affleck's story it wouldn't have been a problem but instead it is a Michael Keaton story, like WTF?
Please read my post again. I am not being hypocritical. If the DCEU was built on Michael Keaton then I wouldn't be happy if all of a sudden his story wasn't completed and you bring in another narrative.

What did you expect from James Gunn who killed off 90% of David Ayer's Suicide Squad cast just to build his own team. Expect the same "Suicide Squad" treatment for existing DC characters going forward. The way I see it, He's trying to build his own legacy in a lazy way.

To me, WB's mistake is not allowing Zack Snyder to finish the story he started then rebooting everything afterwards with a new cast in the flash film.
That way some people will have the closure they deserve and know what comes next not this leaving things hanging and confusing the narrative. Wetin concern me sef? Na their franchise and money.

In as much as there's some truth to what THR reported, I think it's the end of the road for the DCEU.
The reactionary approach would hurt whatever they are building in the future. What happens if the upcoming reboot tanks and doesn't make them the money?
A third reboot in the middle of same continuity? How about just finish the current continuity of stories before bringing in another narrative?
You just brought back an actor only to tell him sorry, we don't need you any more.
Soon serious actors will be reluctant over working on franchise project with WB let alone sign contracts for it.
It's like being hired for a passion project and then halfway through told to drop off.
Mhen, I am so done with franchise stories especially those with WB. That's how they ruined fantastic beasts by being reactionary with Johnny Depp saga and it backfired heavily.
I don't know how many times they have rebooted the DCEU so far.
These days I no longer care about these movies, I hardly know when it releases, if I see them online I download them.
You build people's excitement only to dash their dreams.
Cavill was really excited to be back.

If the axing news is authentic then it's the wrong move by WBD and co. If the intention is to reboot, then it's better they finish the current story of the DCEU and give it closure cause axing everything will put a bad taste over WB films going forward.
This has taught me not to be invested in franchise films or look forward to them again.

It seems you don't watch a lot of games or you just started following the club recently.
Last season Foden ran Milner down that had he been clinical, he could have scored a hattrick through Milner. Even this season, he was helped against Foden by Eliott and Gomez.
Milner vs Zaha was a horror show when he played at RB. We need a starting RB that is good and will lock down that wing. Ramsay or Milner is not it.

But kudos to him for seeing through this decision. This is singularly the best decision he's made all year since being WBD CEO. Check online and see how his name is hardly mentioned despite this move, that's how you'll know how disliked this man is to Hollywood players as well as general audience.
You don't want such executive in your studio who's hated in both sides.

It's reasons like this that's why I hoped he brought a studio head that he respects as fast as possible. This person would be able to convince him on certain decisions and with the experience of the industry avoid Zaslav's controversial nature.

Zaslav did superb bringing two co-heads for DC just like WB Pictures. I'm also glad Mike De Luca was one of the big supporters who pushed for Gunn and Safran to Zaslav.

Zaslav is disliked because he doesn't do SJW woke culture. The Batgirl move is why he is infamous. The dude wants to make money and identifies what will. He isn't going to pander to propaganda if there's no sense in it.
I like people who know what they want unlike the old guys. I doubt he cares whether they like him he just wants to make money.

Man City will sign the two and no hell will break loose. Use them for two years and sell anyone who doesn't want to stay. Enough with trying to please players. If they want to be pleased they should perform. We should stop thinking like a small club. There were times and there are players dying to play for Liverpool for free.

But Cavill been back is thanks to the Rock and the new WBD. The Rock revealed that the Hamada crew actually fired him. So yes, had they still being in control, Cavill would never have been back.
