i really wish it was Morocco we are facing…walai i prefer this Morocco…even with ref ojoro…i never see wetin you go do to stop a beast Osimhen/Akor and tricky Lookman/Chukwueze from penetrating this defense…there is no way Iwobi wont see space to puncture their defense with passes

All those top teams that had shaky runs against lesser opponents, na quarterfinals there nyash go open..
-Mozambique leading you 1-0 before you equalize and won 2-1.
-Gabon beating you 2-0 before you equalize and won them 3-2.

Those flaws will surely surface again against bigger opponents

Ajeh this Morocco cannot play ball…if they meet a team that holds midfield, all of them will fall back and defend…Cameroon midfield is nonexistent…The moroccans are just looking for wing play runs then they cross into the box

As we are calling them the realest test, same way they are seeing us as their realest test.. Semifinal will be battle of West Africa vs North Africa
Morocco vs Nigeria
Senegal vs Egypt

na final i no com fit predict😀..
maybe West v West (Sen v Nig)
or North v North (Mor v Egy)

or North v West (SeNig vs EgMor)
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by minfelix(m): 8:20pm On Jan 08
so far in this afcon our goal pattern has been
Nig vs Tanzania 2-1
1st goal was a beautiful link up cross from Iwobi finding Ajayi’s header(team work)

2nd goal was a majestic individual brilliance of Lookman holding the ball confidently and as usual believing in his cutting in footwork to release a bullet shot(individual brilliance)

Nig vs Tunisia 3-2
1st goal was a beautiful link up cross from Lookman to finding Osimhen beautiful header(teamwork)

2nd goal was a lovely corner kick from Lookman locating Ndidi for a fine cool header(set piece)

3rd goal beautiful through from Iwobi to Osimhen and laying to Lookman, who still showcased his signature kinda goal (Teamwork)

Nigeria vs Uganda 3-1
1st was a sleek pass from Bruno to Bashiru to Onuachu (beautiful team work)

2nd goal was a sweet move from Chukwueze to Onyedika then boom a sweet goal (Teamwork)

3rd goal was a beautiful individual dribble from chukwueze and then laying a sweet pass to Onyedika who slot in a beautiful goal(Teamwork)

Nigeria vs Mozambique 4-0
1st goal was sweet through pass from Iwobi to Akor the laying a sweet pass to Lookman placing a sweet goal(Teamwork)

2nd goal was a beautiful pass from Iwobi to Lookman then making a cross into the box for Osimhen to slot in/tap in cooly (beautiful teamwork)

3rd goal was Lookman making an individual wing dribble beating the defenders and laying a sweet pass to Osimhen to slot in cooly and goal (teamwork)

4th goal was beautiful pass from Simon to Lookman to Akor and then a bullet released (Teamwork)

Our goals have been a mixed of Beautiful teamwork and some lil touch of individual brilliance….we need this to beat Algeria…those through passes from Iwobi, those PERFECT individual brilliant runs from Lookman, and also laying of beautiful passes to the strikers(Osimhen and Akor)…..those individual brilliant dribble from chukwueze and then laying a pass/cross…..

THIS TEAM HAS BEEN PLAYING BEAUTIFUL TEAMWORK

Abegi Goke, not only Osimhen as regarding this tournament, why are you playing down others contributions, must other players have character like Osimhen before you know they're working for the team...

Bassey is doing great,Iwobi extremely doing well, Onyeka always works his socks off,Ndidi all over doing the tackling,Akor supportive,Bruno and Osayi are doing well, Nwabali stability and Lookman our best player so far....not to talk of Onyedika that put up one the best performance by any of our midfielders in Afcon

How could you be telling us it's only Osimhen that is reminding us how our football was in the past.

Yes Osimhen remain his usual self right from under 17,a warrior on the field.
baba no dey stress yourself too much…all those ones are not super eagles fans🤣🤣

Many of them here on this page are really not Super eagles fan…especially the ones saying so so player should retire after this afcon or so so player should dump the team

oga you did not read anything, if you had followed the conversation from the beginning…you weren’t following anything…you just went to glance through pages, the back to back verbal attack lasted till around past 12 to 1, before he called for mod to block me when matter don pass him power…you did not read a whole lot of shades he made before he deleted all our arguments… i have already made screenshots….i cant call you names if you don’t spark me with subtle shade…never!! most of you guys here have been d ones doing it…when someone disagrees with you guys the next thing you do is to start subtly shading people

They need to give mbeumo and kofane the ball in areas where they can hammer shots especially from outside the 18 yard box

Then they must try to defend resolutely and not give away free kicks and penalties in and around their 18 box, because the refs will be on the look out to give those to Morocco..

If they defend resolutely and keep their shape, they can knock out Morocco..
i hope we knockout Algeria and Cameroon do the same to Morocco

Bia BankyGee, Minfelix, Mujtahida etc don't we think we are taking the words exchange a.k a. Subtle insults on each other a little far? In as much as I will like to jump and pass these statements I would rather plead we air our views on the Eagles strictly irrespective of anyone agreeing or disagreeing with our opinions because we can't all reason the same.
Please sheathe your swords of verbal attacks!
brotherly, na wetin i dey do ooo, wey someone first said “im yammering illogically”…i checked the meaning it means “to talk foolishly and nonsense” just becos i said Tunisia is a weaker opponent which i dont even mean to downplay super eagles…

Now BankuGee from no where came gun blazing, probably he didn’t read who first started to insult subtly, the next thing Osimhen of comedy start to talk him own insult….
i dont have any issue with Mujtahida, he has been responding and arguing with respect and civility….thank God for the banning button that restricts my airflow, if not i will wont relent oo, i will fire back at them ooo…like i really no send oo

Lol for you. How you are running from pillar to posts to defend the fact that you called Tunisia weak is just funny. You can't even properly defend your statement after an example has been given to you based on YOUR OWN logic. Now na calling of names be your next weapon.

In 2025, you were one of the smartest people on this thread, 7 days into the new year, smartness don dey fade finish, I wonder how smart you'll be by June. Omo.

Mujtahida:
You get my point when you said "my own is people should not go overboard insulting and blasting him".

My anger is with people who say he's not done anything for Nigeria. 99.9% of the people who say this have not done anything of national significance yet we are quick to rubbish Osimhen.

He has made a mistake. We have condemned him. Let us also accommodate him. And above all, let us remember that none of us is perfect. We all make mistakes.
walai, na me go first scream for viewing centre if Victor scores against Algeria.
I need Victor and Lookman to and 2more goals in this Quarterfinal and maybe enter 5goals each…e no bad if we beat Algeria 4-2…2goals from Osimhen and Lookman

I never said Algeria will be a walkover...I'm just against you downplaying our opponents just because we outplayed them..
The teams in Algeria group being regular AFCON knockout stage customers doesn't negate the fact that we also faced some good oppositions ..
If we are to go by your logic, then we are supposed to beat Algeria, seeing as we have better AFCON pedigree than them
boss me, hope if i elongate this argument hope you no go start dey vex ooo😂😂😂…i don dey fear una for this platform oo

ok ok ok ok now bro listen i am not downplaying our opponents….does it means one cant say an opponent is a weak opponent? and then it wont sound like one is downplaying the effort of the dominant team?

baba Algeria playing and winning against 2 strong teams that are regulars of afcon knockout stages and sending home DRC another crazy african team means the Algerian team is a strong team…..
Tunisia of this Afcon will not come out of that Algerian group with 9points🤣

Yes baba we have a better afcon pedigree than Algeria and we are suppose to beat them….but but but but but look at it very well, Algeria is toughest north african team currently in this Afcon🙏🙏🙌🏻🙌🏻
