Na that long term plan super eagles Dey so o so tey we wan wait make one coach finish serving ban before returning to coach the national team e no go better for that long term plan
i swear 🤣🤣🤣 e no go better for longterm plan…that blue man is just trying to “Guardiolize” our mindset as Nigerians….i never see the long term plan Nigeria will go into that wil make us equate germany, brazil or spain…stop the self deception

Spain won the Nations League and made Semi finals of the Euros in that window. You can't equate them to Greece. That is the point.
they must win all trophy oga, dont limit them semifinal else we will bring morocco into the argument

The point is that you should show me a team that has dominated like Brazil, Spain or Germany without being sound in good possession play. If you can't, the debate is over.

bros in the world of football
these names are there to stay forever as leaders, there nothing you will do to catch up with them…they are traditional powerhouses of football…not becos of they are dominating, but because of trophy they have won for themselves Brazil and Germany especially…

That is just guessing. You aren't time. Allow time to tell.
Have we not allow time to tell on some teams that have tried it? where are they now with their long term plan…where is your longterm dominant Iceland of euro 2016? abi na 2020?…no be 9ja pursue them go house for for WC
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by minfelix(m): 2:22pm On Jun 18, 2024
Greece did not dominate anything in 2004, yet they are nowhere to be found, spain dominated from 208-2012 , yet they are no where to be found.
There is nothing like longterm plan, when you are winning its simply your time…it will soon be over wether you are dominating or not

TheGoodJoe:
You are now evading the point.

The point is simple. If we are to become that consistent top side, we need to work on playing good possession game because most top sides went that route. The point is simple. It is more than a game or tourney.
i will still tell you its a big lie, you dont need to be dominant to be consistent….if brazil play us today they will surely dominate us, but are they consistent, since 2002?
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by minfelix(m): 2:15pm On Jun 18, 2024
How can i dominate you and you still flog me 3-0, and all i hear is its in the long term plan🤣🤣
do you know how 3-0 can demoralize a plan…people and fans(eps 9ja) will be like, who send una mumu domination.
There is no way they can give what they dont have…if you dominate you should be loosing by a slim margin not wide margin.
You are dominating and cant compete…its like trying to force and give what you dont have…there is no long term kan kan…if another team catch them, they will still collect with their pseudo-dominance they are trying to form

TheGoodJoe:
I won't tag the Super Eagles a historically dominant side. But they had some good possessive play.
so then it means it was not all about our dominance that created fear in our opponents….we dont play 100% dominantly but teams still fear us in Africa…we won afcon against Bfaso because our the fear bfaso had for us after beating CIV, all these are not becos we dominate.
if we had won CIV in 2024 Ghana for no get mouth to yab us cos we would have equaled there record.
Pesero should have rested some players and started fresh legs to play and win CIV…we needed to be recessive let CIV be dominant…football its not all about dominating
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by minfelix(m): 2:04pm On Jun 18, 2024
TheGoodJoe:
So I am not expecting teams to win that long but look at Germany winning the World Cup and Euros. Look at Spain winning the World Cup and Euros.

The only national team that have seen cause a havoc by not being possessive and offensive is the Portuguese when they won the Nations Cup and Euros. However, very good possession game is in the middle of most dominance.

That makes it the best route for a side to work towards becoming great.

If you disagree, let me know.
so since you are not expecting teams to have that long streak, it means other with another tactical display will step in to also win, thats to tell yo, its not about domination

Let me repeat myself so you understand what I mean by dominance. Liverpool in the time of Keegan and Dalglish. Benfica in the time of Eusebio. Brazil in the time of Pele. Ajax in the time of Johann Cruyff. Manchester United in the time of Giggs and Scholes. Barcelona in the time of Xavi. Manchester City recently.

I want to see the Super Eagles walking into tournaments and seeing as a team to be feared and put up terrific performances tournament after tournament.

Can you achieve that without being very good in possession?
super eagles of 1994 dominated without tikitaka, super eagles of 1994 didn’t dominate zambia at the final, it was a balanced game, we won their second stringed team with a slim margin…our football pedigree still make team fear us…not because we are that 100% dominant team..na only 3afcon we get…if we walk into any game against any african team the fear will still be there..the 1994 set created this fear not becos there were 100% dominant…1994 set werent a dominant/possession team but a “determinant team” if im permitted to use that word

TheGoodJoe:
Dominance is not a game but series of games, to years. Like winning streak and lifting multiple titles in a season or years. Keshi and Rohr do not fall into the equation.
bros dont jus bring in any Guardiola philosophy to buttress your point of winning streak over the years…plss give me a national team coach that is staying year to year (for a 5-7yrs stretch) playing dominating football and winning all trophy for the period of the years i gave

TheGoodJoe:
Most dominant sides in recent years have been very good with possession. I think this explains it better. if you disagree, I would like to know.
once again oga, football cannot be rigid and hard as you want it to be, domination is not pride, winning is pride.
if you think you have an edge over me because you pass the ball around to add to you 80% possession, then that is rubbish…i cant dominate you in your house and you are still beating me….its like a fat big bride that look dominating on wedding day but in the night on the bed his broom tiny looking husband will pin her down and smash the hell out of her life

TheGoodJoe:
In the end, you are jumping the main point, which is dominance. I want to see the Super Eagles dominate one day. I desperately want to see it and believe we are capable.

Now, how do you think we can achieve such? Playing defensive football? Tell me a dominant team in history that did that. I don't know any.

That is my point.
super eagles of keshi dominated the second half against CIV and it was not with tikitaka
Gernot Rohr dominated cameroon in 2017 and it was not with tikitaka…tikitaka is not the only way to dominate…
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by minfelix(m): 1:46pm On Jun 18, 2024
TheGoodJoe:

I repeat, history remembers more those that dominate. Most times, it titles towards the possessive game. Even Samba Brazil has that possessive flair.

In recent years, tactical growth has come from the tiki Taka offsprings.

This is a fact, not stating.
oga its a lie, nothing like tikitaka offspring, one team choose to pass the ball around and knocking in the midfield looking for loop hole defense to penetrate, the other choose to play on the run pass and another decide to seat back and catch u on counter…Tikitaka is not the father of football possession and tactics…Mexico won the first world cup…they didn’t use tikitaka…dey are not knwn for tikitaka.
Tikitaka is a branch of football ideology to see if domination or possession can be achieved…it works and still doesn’t work…it did not birth football dominance/possession
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by minfelix(m): 1:38pm On Jun 18, 2024
it must be tikitaka or no football 🤣🤣.
Any style of football that can make you win back to back to back major trophy is fine and super fine by me
Teams Like cameroon and Egypt are not known for tikitaka but they have successfully done a consecutive double/triple at Afcon trophy.
Even masters of tikitaka spain won consecutive treble of trophies from 2008/2010/2012, since then they have been found wanting.
Brazil at a point used their samba style to win WC on almost all the continents except africa..and for sometimes now they have gone mute.
Italy used defensive pattern to lift WC and have been mute for a while.
The koko is wether tikitaka, defensive, ghen ghen pressing, all have been able to lift the WC trophy and master-minders of this football craft have also at some point gone mute…
i dont know why tikitaka is seen as the only way if there is no way
IMO no one is better than the other…infact most times fluke wins sef dey sweet, cos it add awe, shock and surprises to the game…see zambia of 2012 see chelsea of 2012

From the get go I told anyone who cared to listen that Finidi was never going to out coach Hugo Broos and Gernot Rohr. He simply doesn't have the minerals from what I saw of his Enyimba side that hoofed and puffed in the continent, even in the league, they came 3rd only to squeeze themselves into the play-offs and win the mini Super6 tournament, which was as much worth as Paul Offor wining the Preseason tournament with Sporting Lagos.

As much as I didn't want Finidi or expect him to do well with the SE, it wouldn't make me support Osimhen. That boy is your typical ghetto kid schooled in the school of hard knocks.

One expects that at his level and exposure in Europe certain character trails will die down naturally but unfortunately, that's not been the case. The other time he cursed out Ikpeba calling him an agbaya.
He is hurting his brand unknowingly. His management must do better as I suspect most top clubs look at character as much as talent before making a big financial layout for a player.
its simple osimhen no get attitude to criticism especially when it legends talking…he go blast them

Peseiro vs GNB
Peseiro vs CIV group stage even at the first half final
Peseiro vs Cameroon
Peseiro vs Angola
Peseiro vs SA
haaa omo this man was really bringing a die-hard hustle feelings to the super eagles…
Walai with the way he fixed our defense and GK issue Benin and SA for hear am again…there is no say we would have lost to Benin with Peseiro in charge.
Some monikers on Nairaland needs to be banned esp when SE is churning out results that is vital…
all those people fond of rubbishing our expectations in the potential we see in a coach calling them

Rohr qualified us to knock out stage of WCQ, dem sack him to bring african guardiola to play kiti kata..we couldn’t beat a weak Ghanaian team
Peseiro took us to Afcon final after 10yrs we offloaded him because he could not play kiti kata

i b osimhen huge fan, but he should better change and stop that useless attitude or step aside from super eagles.
before osimhen there was super eagles, before osimhen we have been qualifying for the WC back to back with exception of 2006 WC…u cant come and be rubbishing Findi George that way…if Finidi has said those words, he should also come in professional manner to counter him…you are giving your all for Nigeria means you should disrespect and disregard legends that also spilled blood for the country in the past. NONSENSE!!
-can Messi blast Maradona that way if maradona criticize him?
Meaning a small boy like him can just come gruesomely unprofessional at Okocha, Yekini, Siasia,Amunike etc because he was wrongly criticized all in the name of he has achieved some feat in football?
On live video dey yan nonsense “ ogun kee you” bla bla bla
just keep further disgracing the country on social media because u be star boy
we played Ghana while you were there we no fit win them, we played another match with Ghana without you we beat Ghana 🇬🇭.
100 💯 percent respect for Osimhen but let him air his grievances like a sane person not an insane person.
Imagine curses wey player dey rain on live video..Na you b the only person wey dem criticize…oga jaah comot for SE if you don tire

I Dey tell u bro…normally we no suppose hire “pep” b4 we beat those minnows na…except if u want me to know dt we re now equals 🟰 with the likes of Lesotho 🇱🇸 Benin 🇧🇯 Rwanda 🇷🇼 and Zimbabwe 🇿🇼

Our players needs to be serious and accountable,in fact I would advise nff and finidi(if he would still remain as d coach) to stamp his authority by instilling discipline into the team ,most especially d foreign players who were trapped into the nlc strike..they had no business been trapped with d strike except lookman.they re becoming highly unprofessional and unserious, too comfortable for my liking. Majority of the European leagues ended 3weeks before d South Africa 🇿🇦 game,so what excuse do Dey have …I am surprised majority here are shying away from dis obvious indiscipline from our foreign players

But if na tanimu or Sodiq play rubbish, dem ready paste 2pages to analyze y he shldnt be involved with eagles again 😏😏😏
i will still say we have the bragging right to say we can beat this guys…common we showed it at Afcon na…i dont even wanna go back 94 eagles set…this year showed us that we can predict 9ja will win a game and our predictions were right.
na teams like
CIV
GHA
ALG
MOR
SEN
we go dey fear to predict….How on earth should we be losing and drawing Les,Ben,Zim…anyone wey shun or attack me for bragging that we should be beating all this small teams should never come out here to hype any 9ja player playing abroad again… it directly means we are simply minnows or underdog in africa then

Aside SA DT might prove stubborn at home ,odas re very beatable on our good day with serious players and a good coach.

We have Benin 🇧🇯 in uyo

Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 in uyo

Rwanda 🇷🇼 in uyo

And away in Rwanda 🇷🇼

Lesotho 🇱🇸 in a neutral ground (probably SA),even if we play the match in heaven, we suppose win

With a good team selection and a good coach ,we shouldn’t have problem winning this 5matches.
omo its so sad, i still dey laugh…all this Zim,Ben,Les, Rwa suppose dey collect for our hand na…what is going on naaa

all collected wotowoto home and away in the last WCQ qualifiers na except the slip up we had against CTA…wats happening naaaa🤦🏼🤦🏼

I HAVE FANTASIZING GOOD NEWS🤪 that may come out to be real

if this Eagles are super and get sense, march qualifier is when we should start clipping all these teams at the top😩😩
First leg in march MD5
Rwa v Nig
Zim v Ben
SA v Les
i see the 4pts gap reducing to 1pt gap..if more determined full fledged and soundly coached 9ja team can beat Rwanda even if its 1-0..Gernot Rohr will struggle to beat Zim Next year, SA may likely extend their 4pts gap ahead of us by beating Lesotho
More like
SA 10pts
Rwa 7pts
Ben 7pts
Nig 6pts
Les 5pts
Zim 5pts

second leg in march MD6
Nig v Zim
Ben v SA
Rwa v Les
By this second game, if super ugwu can jus help us nick Zim 1-0 and “Rohrpeseiro” the whole defense, i see us closing the gap, cos either SA beat Benin or Benin beat SA or both playing out a draw..if Benin does win SA and Rwa beat Les they all of them will be on same 10pts and 9ja will be 1 or 2 point behind them
SA 11pts(draw) or 10pts (Loss) or 13pts(win) vs Ben
Ben 10pts(win) or 8pts(draw) vs SA
Rwa 10 pts(win) or 8pts(draw) vs Les
Nig 9ts (win) vs Zim
Les 5pts
Zim 5pts
Then september fixtures will now tell you who is going to the world cup

cos in september it will be
MD7
Ben v Zim
Les v SA
Nig v Rwa

MD 8
SA v Nig
Ben v Les
Zim v Rwa
september matches will give us the doctor scan report of who is going to the WC

THATS IF NFF, COACHES AND PLAYERS CAN BRING IN SOME MAD TURN AROUND 🔥….or atleast give us the energy of games we played against
Guinea Bissau, Cameroon,Angola at Afcon
