yinkeys: In 5 years South African football will surpass Nigeria No jokes They’ve invested & developed their football When was the last time a Nigerian team won CAF champions league Our football is in trouble guys We’ve been stagnant while countries like Morocco, South Africa have been strategizing Nigeria as a country is poorly run and it has trickled down to every aspects of our society including football We can’t keep relying on disjointed no team chemistry European based team without a sold football home based team & improperly run league to come into action when there are lapses Poor organisation & administration could cost us this WC ticket Especially from how the NFF president is selected down to coaching crew sélection basis & players If your country doesn’t prepare properly in every aspect from administration to field performance, you won’t be successful You wanna perform magic or rely on talent, luck? Relying on past glory is over 🚶🏽♂️ Football is practical South African teams male & female won medals in African tournaments recently A club from South Africa also won champions league during these past 5 years (male & female) We are sleeping on bicycle , we want to keep playing football with big name So help our football God Nigeria we hail thee SA can never surpass 9ja even in the next 10yrs…let them keep winning CAF champions league, Nigerian will keep producing individual talent year in year out to trash all their long term developmental plan. In the mid to early 2000 it was okocha and the rest against their mamlodi sundown, pirate, kaizer assembled team, we still kill them from the early 2000 to the 2014 it was Osaze,Martins,Victor moses, emenike and co that was dealing with their Mamelodi, kaizer, orlando assembled squad. From the 2015 to the 2019/2020 its was the ighalo and co dealing with them From the 2019 till date Osimhen, lookman, chukwueze and co will keep their PSL assembled team in check. next 5-10 years another set of individual brilliant kids will pop out to still wash them aside…forget all this draw draw they are playin with us…if we meet at any knockout stages of tournaments…we go still boss them. They cant over take anything kan kan. Our Rival in African til eternity will continue to be Cameroon Ghana CIV Senegal no southern African team will meet us, them go only try their best but all na gra gra |

Amedino99: I believe we really have short term memory in this country cos It seems nobody remembers ighalo's last match for the eagles. Criticized into retirement? He retired after winning the afcon golden boot. And he knew his time was up even by his last match against Ghana in the world cup qualifier. Bros if we had qualified for the world cup, ighalo would still wanna hang a litttle and stay with the National team…go and read comments from all over social media that period…people criticized him and were annoyingly advising NFF to overhaul the team and retain some “young” players discarding the “old” players…if you are ighalo, reading those lines across social media wont you take a bow?….bros he took a bow out of eagles due to wide criticism…the negative critiquing started from that miss at the 2018 world cup and when osimhen started maturing as a SE player |

I hope we can build on that going forward. im telling you meehn… the high pressing and the one-two on the run was mad meehn at the second half..SA come dey look for counter attack |

BankyGee: No matter how anybody wants to turn and twist any English or huffs and puffs grammar, Victor Osimhen is the lifeline of our Super Eagles team. There are other good strikers, but how many of them are performing exceptionally in his absence. He's still the only world-class number 9 that we have whether you like it or not.
Three world cup qualifiers without Osimhen, 1 all draws, we lost the first half in all of them; First game 🆚 Lesotho a defender equalized - Ajayi 67' Second game 🆚 Zimbabwe a striker equalized - Iheanacho 67' Third game 🆚 South Africa a midfielder equalized - Bashiru 47'
Only one striker scored in three games! That tame header that Onuachu gifted Williams, Osimhen's headers goes almost with the same force as his legs! I remember that Angola game, where the keeper pointed the ball but it still forced its way into the net, a header!
Even if he doesn't score, he must pave the way for others to score. I think since he became our top 9, the Super Eagles have only lost two games he played in (I stand to be corrected) 0–1 🆚 Guinea-Bissau (2023) 2–1 🆚 Ivory Coast (2024) That guy's mentality alone can start while he sits on the bench.
Over all; Our team is good, Finidi George is still under scrutiny, we will still qualify for the World Cup (95%) like i still dont see why that onuachu of a guy is spearheading our attack when Osimhen is absent…he is not anywhere close to Osimhen ruggedness…Moffi/Boniface in 80 mins would have made impact…i remember in afcon when Moffi was brought in die min vs SA, he made a particular 1 on 1 run at goal but was hacked down by SA defense…our coaches! i dont know what dey see in that guy in SE. even inthe case of killing time when we are leading, i still would not prefer onuachu…cos if he was brought in to kill time and we fortunately got a counter to double our lead, onuachu would still not be able cos he’s too slow in d GWG colors |

Katcall: All of you shouting we will beat Benin are sounding buffoonish. Ordinary Lesotho at home, you cannot beat. Zimbabwe, you struggled to salvage a point and you want to beat benin. Wake up and smell the coffee. We are on the verge of not qualifying for the mundial for the second time in a row. Rubbish Bros one thing for sure we are not loosing to Benin on monday, and you cant call it a wrap for now cos even the team at the top is jus leading us with 2points..you think lesotho will maintain an unbeaten run? laiye. You see this group everyone must taste defeat and drop points. next matches Rwa vs Les Ben v Nig SA vs Zim all 6 teams are still very much in contention for the ticket…if them like make dem go start dey underrate Nigeria because we drew our 3games…even after matchday-6 e no go still sure anybody |

Subzerooo: Is there any evidence to backup your statement because from the stats SA have not lost in any of their last 3 visits to Nigeria but magically we will be favorites in their home turf? though the last time we played them on their turf it ended 1-1. But in that game we were robbed off two clear goals. we clearly defeated them 3-1 |

USAfall2024: We have 7 games left, with 21 points to play for. Our chances of qualification is well within our grasp because our group has no outstanding team that can rack up points consistently. Doesn’t matter if we’re currently 5th with 3pts, we are just 2pts off the 1st place (Lesotho). We should get better in coming games (by taking the positives from today’s game) and try to win 5 of our 7 games left (15pts + our current 3pts = 18pts). With 18pts we should easily top our qualifying group. It’s now up to Finidi to set up the best team to pick our first win vs Benin on Monday. If we get that win, I expect a smooth ride to WC26💯🤗. I love this…its soothing😀😀 |
