And who you be ?
You think because you stick around here more often, you are somehow an authority in anything?
Nigeria has a habit of losing knockout matches after beating South Africa, based on all of two matches?
Ogbeni,park..
oga make una calm down for all this history wey una dey carry come abeg…your sounding asif its it’s something that has happened more times like 4 to 5times…this type of record applies when talking about meeting Cameroon in a final match, or meeting Argentina and always losing…we lost won SA in 2000 semifinal and lost in final to cameroon, we beat SA in 2019 quarterfinal and lost to Algeria…na only those two times it happened, stop making an issue out of it…na so one person come say remind of another record of Ekong not winning semifinal matches..like say ekong don play 10semifinal matches for us

The problem here is people and their sentimental biased. For example, Zaidu primary responsibility is his defensive duties and thus far, he has been solid defensively while horrible offensively and people are suggesting that, he should be replaced. Similarly, starboy primary responsibility is to score goals and while he hasn’t scored enough goals, he has provided work ethic, hustle, never say die attitude and critics has been kind. As for me, I wouldn’t drop starboy but would start replacing him earlier if he doesn’t start scoring. You cannot have potent finishers like Iheanacho, moffi on the bench without giving them a chance if your main striker isn’t scoring. In our analysis, let all of be partial
this analysis is fair enough ❤️

Okocha role was not primarily to score goals but to open up defences.

Also, okocha was a set-piece specialist.

You can't claim to be a world class striker and be bad at basic things like positioning, first touch and finishing

You think Mourinho would've continuously started Osimhen if he were the coach despite liking him?
How many defense okocha open up for 2002? How many set pieces okocha score for 2002 Afcon?..
no b so so 1-0,and 0-0 we dey play sotay we branch go 3rd place.
How many set piece he score for 2006?

Osimhen is not as good a striker as he is touted to be. He is overrated

Anybody that doesn't like this statement should hug the nearest transformer grin grin grin

He has been figured out and in the Serie A, the same thing would happen. If they could do it in AFCON, then serie A defenders are just waiting for him

He should be benched. Yes, I said it and I own it with my full chest

Simple!!!
thank you sir, oya crawl back🤣

Many Nigerians at viewing Centre na can talk rubbish. They watch EPL every week but hardly understand football.
Another one was blaming Osimhen for allowing CAF to deflate his youthful exuberance, he said the doping testCAF had on him was what discouraged him from pressing the Angolans🤣🤣

At this stage of the Afcon all the teams have been training together for close to a month; that means the football is now almost like club football.
The team with the best players will win at this stage 8 out of 10 times barring unfortunate events like red cards and injuries to key players. That is why all the "underdogs" doing initial gra gra have been eliminated.

Do a South Africa/ Nigeria combined Eleven... Only the south African goal keeper will probably get in the team; we have the better players hands down, training together for almost a month! South Africa will need a miracle to drag us into penalty shoot outs which is a lottery.... That's the only way they stand a chance of winning.
gbam!…trust me SA go hear am…im happy with the way they qualified so they are very sure of beating us…like this now Nigeria is the biggest threat in the semifinal

i sat in the viewing centre on Friday in our match vs Angola,i met a particular and typical Nairaland ekuke fans screaming “this our boys are F**king slow in build up and transition, Iwobi is rubbish midfielder always slowing game pace for us” bla bla bla, i confronted him and told him “Guy farabale!!! Guy resst!!…do you expect Nigeria to be running kitikiti katakata with the pacey angolans?…so as they are running at us we should be running back at them?”
na so we dey argue as we carry eyes up Iwobi don throw long pass that connect Moses Simon and boom weve scored…na so baba shut up!.

Like can we just chill and understand that we are not the best team in the world? and that we have a formula thats pulling us to a direction of success?
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by minfelix(m): 8:00am On Feb 05, 2024
1. some fans are having this pride of should osimhen not be scoring?, our African best, a whole african best. i think i can still reason with those fans(but then calm down its football and the guy is 100% active in al our games)
2. some fans here are just nothing but having beef for the guy, not really that they are not happy he is not scoring…they are very happy is not scoring..so that they can rub it on peoples faces that “i told you that guy na otu striker”
Lastly if you never believed the team will get this far just dont come and give us any ekuke analysis ir suggestions… just wait if we win the Afcon, divert your bad energy and attention to world cup and keep wishing the team bad…then if we sadly or unluckily lose to SA you can come out and laugh at us and say “i told you guys your eagles are fraud and carpenters “…for now the Association of super eagles fans dont need your dry opinion

The analysis i will read and agree to here is “sub osimhen at 70something for Iheanacho or Moffi”.
i dont just know why people are just unnecessarily looking for ways to distrupt a winning formation and winning team….what is this scoring goals scoring goals bla bla bla you guys are using to “deafen our eyes”…must osimhen score to satisfy una soccer urge?.
can u guys just keep staying behind the team and support the winning formula..heey wey scored 2goals against cameroon oo…una want make osimhen bury all the chances and so we can lift Afcon with all our games ending 4-0, 5-0, 3-0…abeg make una go sit down one place…ighalo score 5goals and branch to bronze medal…oh oh because hes the African best he must be leading the scoring chart?🤣…All the Angola,EQG,CPV,Gha, that score 20goals where are they…all this people here dont know the meaning of we winning our 4th Afcon ooo…all these yeye excuses holds no water at all…peseiro wants to by all means bully his way to the final una dey find make them bench osimhen for moffi….where was all these players against lesotho and zimbabwe..why them no score 5-0 and 4-0 in those games?
Na until them start Iheanacho and Moffi then we score goals and stil jah to 3rd place una body go calm

Yes we were. Last AFCON. We played sweet sexy football and smashed all the teams in our group with ease. Without Osimhen.

We would have beaten Tunisia too had Okoye not had his moment of madness.

Check all the games we fumbled recently or struggled to score. Whether against Ghana or our loss to Guinea Bissau in Abuja. Osimhen played.
And also Against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, osimhen played 90mins na that we were unable to score.

suddenly one nonsense plastic fans/badwisher here has turn to someone giving us advice to bench osimhen so we can win…we played EQG, he said CIV will beat us, we beat CIV he said GNB, imagine ooo GNB will beat us, and we wont cross group stage, we advanced he came with dirty mouth saying cameroon will send us packing, we pursue the pepper nation…he now realized that his bad belle is already becoming unnecessary noise…Now you are telling us to bench osimhen so we can be scoring goal…Na tiger 🐅 go chop your fingers…you better go back to your cave with and be watching like your brothers guSTARVE and AFONSHI..cos those ones are currently loosing weight in their waiting cave.

If Nigeria wins this tournament, some people here will still complain that we didn't win "properly"

Many here including me wrote off this team, but here they are in the semifinals, complaints still full everywhere huh
Na wa
i started rating this super eagles team from our draw against lesotho..though we played a draw, but just go back and see how we pinned them down till final whistle, shame we came out with a draw..that still boils down to no using chances and poor goal keeper then…when the “lets do it again” cliche started goong round i knew this team will go all the way to the final…as for SA? abeg forget those people jareee!

All i know is SA met Mali who plays west african football like 9ja what was the result?…let them keep comparing us to morocco.
No matter how good we are, teams like Tunisia,Egypt, morocco,Algeria will always have a way to edge us in a Afcon knock out stages….inversely no matter how poor we are are we cant go down to all these COSAFA teams(Angola,SA,Namibia) in an Afcon knocl out stage

And how many goals has this "energy and presence" provided? I think we are the least scoring side in the competition at this stage, with the highest number of big chances missed. A striker's job is to score, not to be present and energetic.

It was in AFCON 2019 that Ighalo was banging in goals left and right even without any "energy and presence". That wasn't too long ago.
oga if Nigeria enter final, abeg you will have to delete this post…if ighalo scoring 100goals and we couldn’t qualify to the final, abeg let him carry his go put one side…if osimhen presence and strength takes us to the final abeg it’s enough

I kept screaming "Osimhen don tire" at my viewing center sotey people come dey look me somehow. Lol.

Osimhen himself knew he gassed out around the 70-75th minutes and could barely carry himself around the pitch and yet he insisted on staying on and jeopardizing the team's attacking chances.

Even after he was stretchered off and the coach wanted to substitute him, Osimhen used his "big star power" to force the coach to let him back on.

This is very terrible behavior from Osimhen. He probably thinks of himself as the Messiah and main character of the team while in actual fact, he is the most easily replaceable player there. It's not like he has been banging in the goals anyways.

I feel very bad for Moffi and Iheanacho.
oga he didn’t use any big star power, you people should stop looking for a way to rubbish that guy’s patriotism…he cant shut jpes up by refusing substitution…im sure the coach asked if he could continue and he said yea…he did not use any big star power kan kan…shebi dey later substituted him, why didn’t he use the big star power to refuse substitution
