zicky: Why should I lie because of a player which I'm not a fan of none but support because he's a Nigerian. That being said, for me I still feel he was never really our 1st choice, He was considered to mount to goal for a short time, for me at that time the SE was still trying to get a 1st choice. Just like when Ejide was used at the 2026 Afcon over Eyeama. We all knew Eyeama was our no.1 Enyeama was already our cemented number 1 before Ejide came in 2008 to also be tried as the number 1goalie |

Pinnick practically begged Abraham and his parent yet he choosed England. Aina, Lookman, Iwobi, Ajayi, Fernadez, Alebiosu etc chose us. You win some, you lose some. NFF try abeg! Leave them naaa, them think say na everyone go wan reason Nigeria….if yoy like approach some of those players from kindergarten they will tell you “they wanna focus on their career for now”….when their eyes open boom!! they are already in French, spanish,English,German team….. |

Predator87: Who is Imade going to bench? Someone that is scoring goals for the world champions Spain and plays for Bayern Munich women will sit on the bench in the Super falcons team abi? You are delusional. Instead of holding the useless NFF accountable you make excuses for them until we miss out on yet another world cup. Keep wallowing in mediocrity.
BTW i never said anything about Onuachu. Dont put words in my mouth. I am talking about Orban. He is better than Sadiq, Ihenacho, Moffi and the other mediocre strikers we keep calling up. Keep in mind before Chelle no body was even looking at Ako Adams. This is how people here write off players without scouting them and giving them opportunities. una type can so hail a player as if they are the next Messi…after 1 or 2games they play and couldn’t deliver, na to look for another available player to hype over the ones that have proven themselves over the years…una no dey stay one place. Orban is better than sadiq, iheanacho, moffi yen yen yen, until dem put the Orban for pitch and defenders pocket him, we wont hear anything again…. na so dem dey make noise about Dessers, everywhere don blur for them now… “shine-well-in-your-club-and-then-come-to-super-eagles-and-be-playing-nonsense” type of players up and down |

Papi85: Molde's Nigeria U20 international Daniel Daga has been convicted of committing a sexual act against a person who did not consent to it, and has been sentenced to six months in prison, according to Norwegian television TV 2.
The verdict was delivered by the Nordmøre og Romsdal District Court, which found the midfielder guilty of the offence on Tuesday afternoon.
In addition to receiving a six-month prison sentence, Daga has been ordered to cover NOK 10,000 in legal costs, approximately N1.45 million in Nigerian currency.
Daga's lawyer Astrid Bolstad said the Nigerian will appeal the verdict, maintaining that the player is innocent and that the encounter was consensual.
"He is terribly sorry that the verdict was the way it was. He believes he is innocent and that everything happened with consent, " Astrid Bolstad told TV 2.
"He will appeal the verdict. The verdict is not final. He will be treated like everyone else until he is sentenced."
Molde announced in a statement on Tuesday evening that they are aware of the verdict and the player will not play matches for the time being.
"This is a very demanding matter for all involved. As an employer, Molde Football Club has a responsibility to look after our employees in a responsible manner, while at the same time having great respect for the seriousness of the matter and for the burdens this entails for all parties concerned.
"Based on the situation and the ongoing legal process, the club has decided that the player will not be part of the match squad until further notice."
Daga joined Molde in January 2025 and has appeared in seventeen matches for the five-time Norwegian champions, scoring three goals.
The 19-year-old represented the Flying Eagles at the 2023 and 2025 Fifa U20 World Cups. this one never start to make name na consensual knacking be the matter wey he don dey deal with…. |

mrwilliams9: I disagree. If the NFF were competent eg paying bonuses on time, giving to the players what is due etc
Most of these guys would want to rep Naija. Especially seeing as the guys we approached weren’t even the biggest prospects of the EU nation.
Abraham when Kane was there.
Eze had not yet broken out when we approached him.
Point is, when you have a stable and functioning environment, players will want to play. i thinks its majorly dependent on NFF poor handling of players, thats making many if them look away, Its not really dominantly about whether the NFF made first move to get them….deep inside many of them, even if NFF come first to get them, some of them will wanna prefer and wish the NFF wait a little for them to grow in their career before making a decision on where to go…. And some of them, when they are falling off their momentary prime and attention they get at a particular period of their career, they will now start to show interest…. Ajeh if Lookman was the hottest star player for Madrid or Barca,Mancity,PSG,Liverpool,Bayern in his early days…NFF coming first to lure him will not even move him…inferiority complex will not even allow NFF near him🤣🤣🤣 Na England baba go play for straight up |

Predator87: So because these guys turned us down in the past we should not pursue other dual nationals in the future? How about the ones we have now still eligible? Carney was there and no concrete efforts were made. Now he is with Austria. You have someone like Edna Imade who wanted to play for Nigeria yet was never called up until Spain finally called her up. We need to be more aggressive in pursuing these players instead of being passive. Other African countries are reaching out to their diaspora to improve their NT and some of you are here making excuses for the NFF🙄 and content with below average players and wonder why we are struggling to qualify for World cups. Did they tell you they didn’t pursue it? and Who told you its becos of these facts you mentioned we are struggling to qualify for the world cup?Go pack all of them in Super eagles and give them poor coach, we will still struggle to qualify. All the Mitchelle Alozie, Ashleigh plumptre, Esther Okoronkwo, Tony and Nicole Payne, Echiejini, Lookman,Aina,Alebiosu etc that switched to Nigeria, were you the one that persuade them to come? When one player dumps us, NFF wahala, when more foreign breeds switches to Nigeria all of you will remain quiet and not applaud such switch and move… Baba the ones that will play will not give us stress. And you think some players are not catching the eye of NFF currently |

Sugarboyy: With all the approaches at Eze, Tomori, Oliseh, Madueke, etc, did they agreed to play for Nigeria? Or you want the NFF to come out and tell you that they approached a particular player and the player turned them down. I guess you haven't worked in a discreet government establishments or a multinational company and that's why you think it's everything that must be brought to the masses or the social media. Or you are not aware that this same inept NFF according to you has been holding talks with Kayode of Brentford and Honest Ahanor of Atalanta, so why would they ignore Chukwuemeka? Most Nigerians always act like they know it all, more than those at the helm of affairs, until they get to same position and find out that they are less intelligent, this beat describes you Asin ehhn we Nigerians dont like analysing or fairly giving our opinions… once a player refuse to play for us it turns out that NFF was careless about their switch.. This guys simply dont wanna play for us. Imagine the Tammy Abraham period, imagine Ebere Eze after appearing in super eagles camp…imagine how we all over Gabriel Agbonlahor… most of these guys dont wanna rep Nigeria…. everything is not NFF this NFF that |

Inspite of the diversity of people’s thought, general societal view to an 80/90% has it that when you mock a person’s predicament its a sign that one doesn’t like that person and always wish for the person’s downfall so as to keep on laughing the person or prove a point to spread narrative of “i told you, i he is not really good” Osimhen’s predicament now is that he plays for a weak club and many just want to keep rubbing it at his fans and to lovers of “any-good-super-eagles” fans faces that he is an “Ekuke player,a Seriki that is playing in a Hausa league” all in a bid just to make us feel he is not worthy to be mentioned amongst top players in the world. That guy is really projecting our flag and making us proud….yes Gala is weak, yes Osimhen will surely leave the club, but for now respect and love them because of Osimhen….to put 7goals past Juve no b beans by a team that has not seen knock out stage for the last 10yrs of UCL |
