Mujtahida: My bad belle prayer is for all of them to come home after first round.
The story is told of three men who found themselves in hell. The devil told each of them to make one request and it will be granted. The first one promptly asked to be with his family.. The word was barely out of his mouth before he found himself cozying up in the warmth of his home.
The second one requested that he wants to be on a cruise ship in the pacific ocean. Fiam, he found himself on a cruise ship and began partying.
Well, it was now the turn of the third guy. Do you know what he asked for? He requested that the devil bring the two other guys who had left, back to hell.
His request was granted.
We Super Eagles fans are in the hell of disappointment now. My bad belle request is that all African teams must come back after first round. 😂😂
FiveFootNinja: Thank you jare! I was coming to say the same thing.
Unless Hugo Brooks has something interesting up his sleeve, the bafana bafana I've been watching for the past 5-6 months may finish dead last in that group. For all the hype surrounding them since they made the WC last year, they've underperformed massively.
asin ehhn we really snoozed before chelle came oo… imagine after match day 4 the group looked like this Rwa 7pts SA 7pts Ben 7pts Les 5pts Nig 3pts Zim 2pts couple with SA playing large bulk of games at home, it was gonna be difficult to catch up with them. With the hot chase we gave them it was not enough SA 18 (+6 goals) Nig 17 (+7goals) Ben 17 Les 12 Rwa 11 Zim 5
Philosopher1979: All said and done, we are i think less than 20 years away from an African team wining the world cup. Cameroon broke the psychological barrier in 1990 Morocco broke another psychological barrier in 2022. So what is next After semifinal it is final. We just need an organized African team without the usual administrative problems and it is possible. The fact that football is a team sport gives African teams a fighting chance. As long as your players are at least above average. Like the 65% in quality then you can win. You only need 2 to 5 world class players to win the world cup. You dont need 11 players in Real Madrid and Barcelona. Just 3 superstars and players in average teams in the top 5 leagues of Europe and players in Greece, Turkey, Belgium, Portugal and even a good African league like South Africa. With that, an African team can win the world cup. Most African teams are like that anyway. It will be an upset manner. Like greece wining the euro in 2004 or denmark also winning the Euro. I HOPE PRAY AND BELIEVE IT WILL BE NIGERIA.
seriously ooo…Nigeria is a country that has the ability to go toe to toe with elite teams…our system is really limiting us…just imagine Zadok yohana on the street hustling as at last year…now see teams jostling for that guy’s signature….
we are a big footballing nation..Thats why till date we have the highest win ratio in worldcup games(though the record may be broken by Morocco, cos they have one win to equal that record) Imagine Morocco and Cameroon started attending world cup before us and yet we toppled them on that record. If we were in that Morocco shoes of 2022WC walai na final we for end up…
Damioduso1: Morocco will beat Scotland abd qualify has second place team behind Brazil or even too Brazil self
Senegal may finished second or third in the group they will also qualify
Algeria may finished Second or third and qualifier has best losers if they can beat Austria
The. Likes of Ghana, Tunisia, Cape Verde, DR Congo group stage exist likely
Senegal has to up their game, France will surely struggle against Norway…Senegal will have a mountain task to climb beating Norway
Algeria beating Austria is also slim oo😀😀, its only Nigeria and maybe Cameroon in history of world cup that can handle all this midtable decent european nations like Czech Poland Serbia Bosnia Iceland Norway Greece etc
Amedino99: agree with your sentiments. South Africa also has a chance to make the next round through the best 3rd place route
That SA is very group tough ooo Mexico host country(they will do everything to keep themselves in that tournament oo Czech republic these guys play like Croatia and Portugal all those their “IC” ilic, zigic, fucic, vidic players are very sound soccer players oo Then you see South Korea okokobioko!!! go and watch their replay of Russia 2018 Korea vs Germany
Qatar 2022 Korea vs Portugal Those guys are flash…beating those top guys hands down Korea and Japan are Asian menaces
SA is a team that ride on the poor form of giant nation to bully lesser teams to top a group… They really benefited from our poor start and used the opportunity to extend lead against us by beating low teams like Rwanda,Lesotho and Zimbabwe….Dont be deceived by their qualification to the world cup, they are not a solid side to face technical teams….even at afcon they could only beat Zimbabwe and Angola in group stage when they met Egypt they lost, in round 16 they met Cameroon and were booted out
After matchday 2 watch how almost all African reps and low Asian countries will be fighting to be on this table just to advance to round 32🤣🤣 na our ways b that
Fra 🇫🇷won 98WC and exited group stage in 2002 Bra 🇧🇷won 02WC and escaped humiliation in 2006 Ita 🇮🇹won 06WC and exited group stage in 2010 Spain 🇪🇸won 10WC and exited group stage in 2014 Ger 🇩🇪won 14WC and exited group stage in 2018 Fra🇫🇷won 18WC and escaped humiliation in 2022 Arg 🇦🇷 won 22WC they have to be wary of inform Algeria, technical European Austria and stubborn Jordan else they will jah from group stage
daveP: I don't expect much from the CAF reps in this World Cup despite the 10 slots. Based on their groups quality and personal acumen, i only see 2 going to the KO stages
CIV and maybe Algeria
The group Senegal and Morocco are in will be dicey.
Morocco will chop Scotland and Haiti like fufu….Senegal group is tough sha(France and Norway)
SymphonyRad: 8 out 10 odds that Portugal will beat us, but unlike the embarrassing eyesore Peseiro served us last time we met Portugal. I expect us to be more competitive this time and give them a good game, it definitely won't be the 4-0 type of drubbing we got the last time...I can see maybe a 3-2 type of result for Portugal cause we will surely score goals with Chelle football.
Yea 3-2 is a decent one for us, but i see us shocking Portugal….i see Portugal chasing that game to equalize us
Damioduso1: It will be interesting match to watch how are wish Victor Osmihen, Ademola lookman and feni Azeez play against Portugal next week Wednesday
lexyman: Interestingly, we’ve never managed to beat Portugal in all our encounters so far.
I’m hoping the Super Eagles emerge from this game unscathed and, most importantly, that Chelle’s unbeaten record stays intact. Fingers crossed!
I think weve met Portugal only once(i may be wrong about this) and that was the disgraceful showing from Jpes and his boys in 2022. Period when Jpes was starting his job as super eagles coach trying to adopt a play pattern for super eagles which he latter settled for the conservative style he used at the afcon 2023. Emmanuel Dennis lost a penalty in that match when the score was 2-0…that penalty would have changed the psychology of that game…cos before the penalty chukwu eze was already becoming a terror to the portuguese defense
Algeria dey beat Netherland, DRC dey draw Denmark, Portugal no fit beat Morocco…na this particular Nigeria team with a different approach dem go come beat 3-0, 4-0🤣🤣
yinkeys: 3 or 4 nil will be an embarrassment Im sure Christiano may not play that game Let’s hope Bruno is on the pitch Not Onyemaechi o, i mean Fernandes
Portugal will beat this our hustling super eagles 3-0,4-0🤣🤣never!! its not happening una go shock same high intense game Poland gave us is what Portugal will bring to the table… This current Super eagles will make world class friendly match look like “we are not satisfied with the kinda opponent we played” we want more
Subzero047: Portugal is one of the favorites to win the world cup but Netherlands isn't, I'm not opposed to a win or a draw but I'm not giving myself reasons to be mad at the end of the match
with this our form we suppose drag with portugal…this super eagles currently deserves a world cup spot Nigeria 1-1 Brazil(first team played) Nigeria 4-2 Argentina (first team played except Messi) A serious and well coached super eagles outfit should be winning or drawing portugal in a friendly
yinkeys: Algéria just beat Netherlands, I would not be okay with a loss A draw would be decent They should win before going on holiday since we aren’t at the World Cup
I didn’t watch this game, i decided to watch the highlights, and im asking how did Algeria manage to come out with a win here….from beginning to the end of the highlight i can just count like 5times algeria attacked compared to almost 20+ back to back attacks from the Dutch and Dominating the game as it should…Algeria really win this game as a Ghost
We get anybody wey fit just try him luck like that?
Asin eehhnn, another person that is good at this long range shot is Mbekezeli Mbokazi of South Africa….that bulldozer of a boy is so crazy at long range shots😀 He did against Nigeria in their home game but flew past the post He scored a screamer against Panama He rattled the woodwork with another screamer against Angola He score a golazo when he was playing for Orlando Pirate.
jihday: and the keeper was actually close to the angle,I’m not saying the Poland goal wasn’t impossible to save but saying Nwabali will surely save it or Okoye was at fault is what I have a problem with
una dey wine?🤣🤣🤣🤣 See vincent Kompany distance and see Okoye own🤣🤣…You cant even compare it
see where defenders dey, you cant even blame it on them, see where Onuachu dey…before Onuachu wiggle and dance micheal Jackson moonwalk to the polish player…the guy don release bullet🤣
do4luv14: I had watched that clips twice today again, I tell you not even nuer or cortoise can keep out that shot, for a minute I thought the ball was going in a straight line, ahbi na breeze blow am go another direction??,
By then Okoye was already in motion, if it had gone as projected it's an easy catch or a tipping over, buh that swerving ehn hmmm
I calm down to watch that shot also…despite the breeze curly effect of the ball, it was bound for the left side of the net, meaning if Okoye had positioned to a close proximity between himself and the space in between that left side of the net where the ball entered he would have had a brilliant punch… In 2002 When Paul scholes got his pass from a midfielder he tilted towards the left to pick a spot where he would release a bullet, Enyeama also tilted to closed the space between himself and the left side of the net…thats why he was able to punch that ball from scholes Okoye was far from that left corner space, he would have adjusted a bit to close the wide gap between himself and the left space of the net when he saw that polish player was tilting towards left to pick a shot spot
Another thing im enjoying now is how names like “Abdulahi Bewene(Jos),Alhassan Yusuf(Kano state),Zaidu Sanusi (Kebbi state) are doing greatly and putting up stellar performances in the super eagles and gradually erasing the mentality of people tagging it to “Quota system”…common let’s go Northerners you guys can also birth super stars for super eagles… There is also another sensational wizard in the waiting “Zadok Yohanna”(Bauchi State)
I be correct Igbo man, i love this perceived unity soccer is giving us
