Romance / Re: Why Messi Swooped All Awards This Year by Minsk24: 12:25pm On Jan 19 |
I agree with this suggestion... And the calendar year for the award should be January to December, so everyone is clear... With this method, everybody will know the likely winner....

Romance / Why Messi Swooped All Awards This Year by Minsk24: 12:17pm On Jan 19 |
Messi won the FIFA best award for 2023, as a Messi fan, i had mixed feelings, i decided to research the format used for the award, now my doubts are cleared....for Ronaldo fans, because of bitter emotions, they won't bother to research, they will let online pages use them, accuse fifa of corruption, cast aspersions and so on... Its been a tough period for Ronaldo fans... FIFA the best award was voted for the best player within 19 December 2022 to 20 August 2023.... Fifa sets up a shortlist, the captain of each national team, coaches , journalists and fans cast their votes.... These votes are tallied up and the winner of the votes gets the award.... Messi and Haaland tied up for same amount of votes, but based on article 12 of the rules, the player with most number of captain votes, wins the award During this period in view, Messi had similar Goals Plus Assists stat with Haaland and mbappe.... And Messi will top them off on other stats as well... Haaland had more trophies, 4, Messi had two Bottom Line Every player on the shortlist deserves the award, the player with the highest votes gets to win it Same thing for the ballon d or 2023 The period in view was from 1st August 2022 to 31st July 2023 Ballon d or was decided by journalist representative of each country, this player with the highest votes wins For Cr7 fans, where is the corruption? Fifa does not decided who wins neither does the french magazine decide who wins ballon d or Why are u guys so bitter, that u cannot carry out a simple research... I am a Messi fan but i disagree with the voting process because voting carries lots of sentiment, i believe a new process should be used, but untill then, Lionel Messi has 8 ballon dor and 8 FIFA best award.... All of them decided by voters who deemed him to be the best player of the year... 1 Like

I will open the floor by saying... Reformation of the international order I would Love to see a world order where the UN plays a bigger role , a multipolar world order that has no singular hegemonic power... paving the way for the UN to be reformed to fufill its mandate Reevaluation of Nigerian Constitution The Nigeria constitution needs to be re-evaluated , the need for restructuring the federation to ensure the federating units can be more productive.. Reformation of the global economic system With the rise of artificial intelligence, there will be lots of job losses, how do we have an economic system that will ensure reduction of poverty and continue human innovation and competitiveness... |

They most stupid thing about the Satan delusion is that, despite how religion has painted him to be the bad guy, the same satan allegedly controls the world and has so much power, yet he has not said his side of the story for thousands of years, he doesn't have an organized following, this is a being that wants as a many people to join his camp, yet he doesn't have common sense to organize his followers and change the narrative about himself.. The concept of Satan is so dumb.... |

The point was after ww2.... Libyans rose up against Gaddafi and US intervened on the side of the rebels...use common sense when analysing geo-politics and leave ur emotions one side... understand the interest of different powers as u try have an overview.... there's no saint , there's no good or bad, there's no right or wrong, there is only strategic interest.... Understand what the interest of different powers are, this enables u to have a better overview of geo-politics.... U can hate the US for all u want, the fact remains is simple, US has had a great impact on humanity that could only be rivaled by the European powers at their height .. Morality and emotions are useless when analysing geo-politics, Understand issues before you talk, so u don't get yourself embarrassed, You have a long way to go , keep learning, all the best |
Foreign Affairs / Re: How Else Should Have Isreal Have Carried Its War? by Minsk24: 9:04am On Jan 11 |
Jovi10:Sponsoring of coup is a legitimate way to protect your interest, like i said, there's no morality in geo-politics, u have to protect your strategic interest, but what is the long term outcome of your interest as it relates to the world , that is the unit of measure... Which nation did USA attack after ww2? That is why u need to do ur research before coming out to speak, US wars after ww2 were interventions to support different factions in the tussle for power... For example US intervened to support south Vietnam, while the USSR and china supported North Vietnam, same thing in Korea...and all over the world...the US and USSR supported different factions in wars, this was to protect their interests and promote influence... The US has made unilateral sanctions, in bid to protect its interest and promote its influence, any hegemonic power will do the same....for example, if Nigeria were to recognize Taiwan today, China will place sanctions on abuja, this is normal geo-politics...and as the world evolves, we will see new systems that will make the world a better place...for example, the rise of China is creating a multi -polar world order, US place as the sole hegemonic power is fast deteriorating....what will this shift mean for the world? On the positive side, i hope it brings more balance that the world desperately needs.... Supporting gay rights is supporting human rights according to the view of Washington, it is normal for hegemonic powers to push their influence on their subordinates, this enables soft power...and in return , soft power is very effective tool for power influence |
Foreign Affairs / Re: How Else Should Have Isreal Have Carried Its War? by Minsk24: 8:04am On Jan 11 |
Jovi10:Lol , let me school you, the US order has led tl the greatest advancement of mankind... When u talk about wars after ww2, remember ww2 led to the fall of colonial empires, leaving a power vacuum which the US and USSR tussled for influence.... This is a normal geo-political scenario where powers seek influence via different methods... ultimately, the US and the west came out tops... Have u researched on the wars after ww2 and seen the root causes, and understand how external powers tried to take advantage? If u have done so, u wont be here talking bs about US, is US a saint? Not at all, there's no morality in geo-politics, its about strategic interest... I want to ask you, why do u think US has so many military base around the world? Did they force themselves on the host countries? The countries want the US to have presence because they trust the US....they trust the Rules-based international order instituted by the US, is the system perfect? Not at all...is the US perfect? Not at all.....does US imperfections negate the impact of their influence? Not at all... U can hate on the US for different reasons, but u must understand the powerful influence the US has had on the world.... apart from the British empire, no other power has influenced the world compared to the US... 1 Like |

Jovi10:Stop talking about what u don't know , the US involvement in Syria was to fight Isis alongside Kurdish forces, US had no direct involvement in Yemen, iT sold weapons to Saudi Arabia... Russia did the same thing in Ukraine, there's no point arguing with u oga, so Russia was pounding mariupol, an empty city? Use common sense, why will a population flee from an invading force ,if there is no massive bombing campaign.... Russia used the same strategy in Syria, bombing rebel held areas before the army moved in ... the Russian general who spearheaded the syrian campaign was even called up to do same in Ukraine... Stop letting propaganda decieve u from using common sense and logic 1 Like |

Jovi10:Russia did the same thing in Ukraine, do some research before regurgitating propaganda... Russia pounded Ukraine before moving in, a good example was mariupol... And important to note that Gaza is densely populated compared to Ukraine that has huge landmass....with big landmass comes with a reduced death toll compared to pounding a small area packed with huge population... Please what did USA do in Yemen and Syria, i cannot recall any significant military intervention in these countries on the scale we are talking about here, please educate me sir |

Difrent: Yes that's understandable, the situation in gaza is pathetic and the current government in Israel makes things worse ... Considering the enormous death toll in Gaza, what alternative military strategy should the Isreali have used in order to disarm Hamas ... Considering the gaza is very densely populated.... normally in war situations like this, u pound the area to ensure civilians flee, making it easier for your troops to engage the enemy... It is very difficult to fight urban warfare with civilians, especially in such a packed place like Gaza... My question to geo-political experts on NL, could there have been an alternative strategy by Israel? 1 Like 1 Share |
