AntiZikist:Yes , because he engaged in a political struggle, while majority of igbos do not subscribe to ipob, some of ipob grievances resonates with all igbos....and also releasing of mnk can tame the tension in our region, the different factions of ipob have used mnk detention as an excuse to forment terror on the state, so if u release mnk, it could lead to peace... For example, look at igboho, do all yorubas subscribe to secession? Not at all, but the yoruba elders helped igboho because of some elements of his political struggle which they resonate with .. Even in your region, u had some militant groups, u have a soft spot for some of them because u understand some of their grievances... |

Ofodirinwa:I agree with you, it takes lot of sacrifice for a massive wind of change to happen... In your first paragraph, you are also very correct, it can happen in liberal democracies but in Nigeria's case, our parties are not built on ideologies, just as an avenue for politicians to get to power . It will be very difficult in Nigeria, but possible in other countries..... I also think a parliamentary system can easily be overthrown via protest compared to a presidential one... |
Politics / Re: Why Revolution Is Difficult In A Liberal Democracy by Minsk24: 5:58am On Mar 06 |
AntiZikist:Again it is important to note that ipob does not represent igbos.... It is also true that we igbos have avoided talking about our atrocities and only focus on the heavy handedness of the Nigerian state on us, i agree with you... But tbh, why should anybody take nnamdi kanu seriously or ekpa ...ipob is a stain and disgrace to my people...so if u look at igbos tru the lens of ipob, u will hate us even more... Ipob will die, same way massob and other groups, igbos will take political action within the sphere of the Nigerian law to grow.. So, no fear.. please what is ur ethnicity? |
Politics / Re: Why Revolution Is Difficult In A Liberal Democracy by Minsk24: 11:03pm On Mar 05 |
I should also let u know that the igbo speaking ethnicities that have denied their ancestry in the SS will be easy pickings to ally with...all it will take is a massive soft power push, closer people to people exchanges... get the traditional rulers in line to ensure closer cultural exchanges...within a couple of years, such soft power will begin to erode ill feelings of the past, ...blood is thicker than water ... For the igboid groups of SS, we speak same language, same customs, at the right time they will no longer deny their roots, even tho some of them have external influence of other ethnicities like the ikwerre people whose founder immigrated from benin....at the right time, we will utilize similar cultural relations for political gains.... The igbos and ijaws are the biggest nations in the region, we can either work together or hustle for influence... either way, there must be peace and stability in the region |
Politics / Re: Why Revolution Is Difficult In A Liberal Democracy by Minsk24: 10:54pm On Mar 05 |
AntiZikist:Common sense will dictate that the SS will be easy to pick out for the igbos when the time comes, with diplomacy, common interest and strategic planning, the igbos will make inroads to ally with the different ethnicities of the SS.... slowly but surely.... So that's why i don't even bother about people like you , when its time it will happen loud and clear, the time when we will put economic growth and stability over trivial matters that people like you keep grieving over ... It bn over 60 years since the end of the war, yet u don't want to see the bigger picture and u call urself a political analyst Even Russia and Ukraine will mend ties after the war despite the emotions ...that is sense, as long as there's a bigger picture,u must put ur emotions aside and go for economic gains... I understand your fears as we will always be neighbors and u may consider us belligerent...but such fears can only be dispelled by close co-operation... |

AntiZikist:You might have political acumen but you still have a lot to learn, u talk as if niger-delta is a homogeneous region by using the word "we" A political and economic alliance is necessary for our long term survival, if Nigeria breaks up tomorrow, it is impossible for any union between igbos and SS....the niger Delta will eventually be balkanized or will try to remain united, any way it goes, u need us, as much as we need u, it is common sense.... If u like keep clinging to civil war era emotions and not look at the future....a future of common prosperity and stability.... The igbos are no longer your enemies, we have been weakened and now we share similar interests as entities in the Nigerian state...u talk about true federalism, we want it, common interest leads to alliances...u want to have an independent state, we are in as well, common interest.... you are tired of fulani domination, we are tired as well... At the right time, these similar interests will converge... A typical look at the last election would show u a potential political alliance that was scuttled...the igbo pdp governors backed wike, if wike had won, they would have supported his bid.... imagine peter obi out of the picture and wike won the pdp ticker, igbos will vote overwhelmingly for wike as we did for jonathan... The SS also voted massively for peter Obi... We have similar political interests...we can and must work together.... |
Politics / Re: Why Revolution Is Difficult In A Liberal Democracy by Minsk24: 8:24pm On Mar 05 |
AntiZikist:It is even more naive to rely on people's opinion to inform your decision, on social media, anybody can say what they want, ipob has also brainwashed lots of my people and it is very sad to see.... That been said, the only thing that can inform a critical thinker is to see what political moves are bn made, and for now, there is none ... Nigeria as a political entity might not last forever, therefore it is imperative that we must get along , even within the context of the Nigerian state, we have similar political aims and voting patterns, such can be harnessed.... The igbos in SS are not bn mistreated, a huge chunk of them have developed their own identities, while this hurts the igbo nation coz its a symbol of our fall from grace, such trivial things cannot prevent reasonable partnership between our people's... An igbo-SS alliance is a must, it will happen in due time, and with the SS bn a heterogenous region, it makes it easier to find allies, build up and grow from there... Imagine how close our major cities are, this can be harnessed, Port-Harcourt is stone throw from ABA, U have umuahia, enugu on a single lane axis .. umuahia has links with some cities in akwa ibom...the closeness of big cities can be harnessed for economic growth, and in due time, all these will trump the painful memories of the civil war... |
Politics / Re: Why Revolution Is Difficult In A Liberal Democracy by Minsk24: 8:03pm On Mar 05 |
AntiZikist:I agree with you, we made a strategic mistake to coerce majority of the niger-delta , and all the atrocities we committed... But u must understand that this is the way of the world, the strong will dominate the weak, states cannot be built solely on ethnic lines, stronger ethnicities will dominate and absorb weak ones to create larger states , larger states in turn are beneficial to civilization on the long run.... When the time is right, igbos will apologize to the niger delta and work closely, our destinies are intertwined,no matter the hate in ur heart now, these emotions must be put aside for bigger gains in future... Ignore ipob and co, they do not represent the igbos... The rise of the igbos is inevitable at some point, a large nation of over 30 million people will eventually wake-up, and with the SS in close proximity, there's much to gain in becoming Friends and partners once again.... Look at the world, nations have fought bitter wars and still come together for strategic reasons at the right time...i am looking for a better and bigger future of a renewed igbo-SS friendship |

Had another one with a girl in one of the apartments i lived in, i was on good terms with her parents and they rated me highly, this girl around 19 years, sweet, very curious and intelligent, always coming to me for intelligent conversations... i was falling, she was in love as well.... but i calculated the risks to reward, it wasn't worth it, i could not risk my dignity because of feelings, what would happen if the entire neighbors find out? All my integrity will be erased... I cried sometimes, the feelings engulfed me, i prayed, i meditated, it was so difficult... Impossible Love is such an experience |

Sometimes Love, infatuation, feelings, whatever u call it, it comes and pitches us with someone we should not have feelings for, these can be very difficult, yet so adventurous... You know you shouldn't have anything to do with this person, but your heart wont let you, you try different sel control methods, but ur heart wont let you .. As much as you try to keep away, there's an adrenaline rush to the risk u are trying to take to act upon your feelings, this kind of Love story is always so filled with so much emotions... Mine happened in my university days, my roommates girlfriend, this girl so beautiful, i fell in love with this girl, it was so difficult, i would try different methods to get her off my head, i was in such a pitiful state of mind, in Love with someone i shouldn't...the girl did not make things easy, very friendly and quick to open up to me about her personal life, all this making me fall harder... I dont wish this situation on my worst enemy... |

AntiZikist:Well said.... But we must understand that with the current economic situation, people are angry, and this anger can stir up anarchy if things get worst, this is not just about obedient, obedient are not the only people who are angry with the current situation.... And it is important for u to stop viewing the opposition scenario in Nigeria as an obedient vs Yoruba or igbo vs yoruba.... |
Politics / Re: Why Revolution Is Difficult In A Liberal Democracy by Minsk24: 12:29pm On Mar 05 |
AntiZikist:True federalism is the way forward, the constitution needs to be reformed... While there is an element of hate on the side of igbos, it is important to note that obedient is not just dominated by igbos, there are other ethnicities who voted for LP and some of these people have no major issues with the Yoruba... For example, the i saw a post by aisha yesufu who called the looting trend "the start of the revolution" As for those calling for military coup, this is because of the intense Russian and anti-western propaganda.....a person who is deeply brainwashed by Russian propaganda and is not happy with the Nigerian state will look at successful coups in the sahel as a beacon of hope for what could/should happen in Nigeria... You say there are two ethnicities who will not want a return to true federalism, the first one is obvious, give me a hint on the second one and why... |

AntiZikist:Your citations on France and Russia emphasizes my point, and that will be very difficult to replicate in Nigeria... But u must understand that, the Nigerian case is not just a matter of ethnicity, the political system sits at the core of the difficulty of revolution via protest.. For example, imagine Nigeria were to be in a dictatorship, it will be easier for the revolutionary protest to happen compared to what we have now.... I want to ask you, why would u refer to early Nigerian leaders like ironsi as having Communist leanings? Do u have more citations to back this? I am very surprised how the cold war did not affect Nigeria in any way.. |

Ertugrul:Yes it is very important to have plans for what happens after the revolution, a simple revolution in form of protest might spiral into complete breakdown of law and order and eventually armed uprising....but like i said, such things will not easily happen in a liberal democracy like Nigeria 3 Likes |
Politics / Why Revolution Is Difficult In A Liberal Democracy by Minsk24: 8:10am On Mar 05 |
I have seen posts making the rounds about potential revolution in Nigeria, stemming from the new trend of looting grains....but what revolution are we really talking about? In an autocracy, or an authoritarian democracy, revolution is easier to achieve because u have a particular ruling elite class, so the citizen's anger is directed towards a particular set of people, paving the way for an untested opposition to come to power if the revolution is successful... But Nigeria is a liberal democracy, we do not have a particular set of ruling elites and an untested opposition, the apc members u see today can defect tomorrow, the PDP members u see today can defect tomorrow, we have a multi-party parliament, we have lots of states with opposition parties as governors... We have elections, even tho not free and fair, but the ruling party and opposition both have machinery to rig elections..... The ruling apc is voted into power by a large number of people, bothe in federal and state level, same with the opposition parties... So if u talk of revolution in Nigeria, what does it mean if people take to the streets and say enough is enough, will the aim be to overthrow the tinubu administration? Even if he steps down, is it not the same APC that will take power? If APC is overthrown, PDP will come to power, same people, then APC members will defect to pdp, same cycle Liberal Democracy is the best political system, its creates stability and it is very sustainable.... 3 Likes |

FxMasterz:I appreciate your point of view and have learnt alot from your posts sir I am not a Christian so i find it difficult to have a coherent feedback. But i agree with the points u have made. . On christainity and Eck, as an agnostic, Eck is way more preferable because of their point of view regarding spirituality, and they provide practical steps to help u visit the other dimensions and meet your spirit guide ... |
Religion / Re: Agnostics Who Have Experienced The Supernatural Or Metaphysical Before... by Minsk24: 1:15pm On Feb 29 |
FxMasterz:Exactly my point.... For example, whenever i argue with christains who feel their religion is superior, i give them a point and say, what happens when a Muslim in kano is faced with spiritual issues...does he run to a church? No, islam provides Muslims with tools to deal with spiritual issues, same way Hinduism provides its adherents with spiritual tools... I had intense spiritual issues late last year, i knew it was time to fight back , i had no interest in christainity and decided to join eckankar, they provide logical reasons in their doctrines and practices, since i joined eck, i have been able to fight back the spiritual issues i was dealing with.... I have made a theory on spirituality... My theory is this, there is something called dimensions, people call it spiritual realms, planes e.t.c....this dimensions coexist with our physical world...i have joined so many groups on Facebook that talks about astral projection, and people have gone to the astral plane and interacted with beings who reside there, the astral plane is the major source of spiritual activities on Earth... I view these dimensions as probably a hologram, or sophisticated computer program, but it is difficult to explain the existence of these beings that live there ... The spiritual warfare Christians talk about is as the result of the varying interest of these beings on humans, some are benevolent (angels, spirit guides) while some are malevolent (demons) then u also have humans who project into the astral plane with ulterior motives ... Understanding these dimensions and the technology behind it will greatly unravel alot about spirituality for humans.... But then, another big confusion i have is this, how do u connect these dimensional beings to the beings that come with spaceship from other planets.? This is really deep and bugs me Everytime |
