You should go back and read the thread very well before rushing to comment.

Even the USA print money other countries do it too but they followed the tips I stated above.

That's advanced economics
Ozempic, its also a European country surrounded by big economies....
I love your first point on keeping a fixed rate, i wonder how much would have to be allocated to keep it that way .

Yes, he got the idea behind the post wrongly. Even with the type of post some people make you can know their value, interest, their perspective about life, their philosophy of life and all.

I think the guy needs to read the post again and again to understand the context of the content of the post.

You have made good points
But i disagree with you on the area of a unipolar order running the planet.
In my opinion, there are both benevolent and malevolent entities out there with an interest on the planet. .
I also feel that we are on an evolutionary part as a specie to get to true understanding of who we are and the truth of our existence...
Everything is not all doom and gloom....

Politics / Re: New Global Africans: Dollar & Euro Colonialism by Minsk24: 6:19am On Feb 22
You have made very good point on solutions for Nigerian problem, but the issue is not because of dollar... having a dominant currency for global trade has brought many advantages to global trade, if not for the US weaponizing dollar for sanctions, nobody for complain too much...
If African countries can sit down and bring a new currency, that will be a good idea, but the process is a very complex one and will take a long time to achieve ..

Good idea to an extent, but u cannot just ban import, not every product can make economic sense to be produced in Nigeria, Nigeria first has to tackle insecurity and create a good business environment... the government should observe specific sectors where Nigeria can have a competitive edge in manufacturing and make necessary long term plans including more massive education for the youth to increase talent pool....
Simply put, manufacturing must be well planned because we have a globalized economy now, u have to carefully find out sectors that u can have a competitive edge ...

Yeah, and where is the money to keep funding subsides, even the one we pay self cannot cover any roof of any house, using your analogy (Electricity subsidies cannot fund or cover anything much)

We have reached point zero. And I hold this APC government and the past APC government responsible, because they came in with ideas about diversification and raising non oil revenue...and they did not do that.
Well said, immediately i saw this comment, i know say na you...very intelligent and logical comment...

Politics / Re: The Proposed Parliamentary System Of Government By Senator Prince Ned Nwoko Opt by Minsk24: 7:17am On Feb 17
Vote of no confidence in parliamentary system is pathway to instability....in a corrupt ridden country like Nigeria, MP's can be bribed and gang up against the PM ... a prime Minister should only be removed by a constitutional court, vote of no confidence should be an indictment, while the constitutional court will have the final say

Makes a whole lot of difference

The prime minister must defend everything weekly against the opposition

You can't be in a parliamentary system and not be vocal about your policy

Young people are more likely to become prime minister under parliamentary system

It's less expensive, more scrutiny
You are very correct, that is the main advantage of the parliamentary system, a dullard cannot be prime Minister, u must be smart and knowledgeable

The biggest disadvantage is that, we will only be ruled by the biggest politician or the highest bidder. They'll use billions to lobby to be elected as prime Minister by the house and his focus will be on pleasing his fellow dishonourables rather than the people.

Parliamentary system will be a mistake, as we will be handling over power to the same corrupt dishonourables and this time around they'll have executive power too
Exactly, parliamentary system in a corrupt society is very horrible, Lebanon, iraq, pakistan....it is a complete no no

Postinor:
can you explain more on this system
In my idea...
The prime Minister will not be decided by who is the leader of the party, it will be direct elections as we do for president .
When the prime Minister is elected, rather than the normal system of the party with the most seats forming government or a coalition, the prime Minister will just appoint his cabinet, my idea is a fusion of presidential and parliamentary system together....

I know, I just want them to start work regional government first before going towards parliamentary government, and not parliamentary government before regional government.
That way, any of the governments excesses can be checkmated if not caged sef like someone said two comments away.

Do you get my point?
What do u mean by checkmating excess of the federal government?
I do not understand that point...but i got other point,

I think regional government will be better.
Even if you have regional system, there must still be a federal government, and the federal government will have a system, presidential or parliamentary system

A parliamentary system without direct election of the prime Minister is not good...
A parliamentary system that will need parties and coalition to form government will pave way for instability, we cannot afford to continue running elections due to cost...
We tweak the parliamentary system to enable the prime Minister to be voted directly by the masses and would not need party or coalition to form government...he would just select ministers and focus on governance..
Parliamentary system biggest advantage is that u can not have a dullard as prime Minister...unlike the presidential system where the president can easily hide

Politics / Re: Why US Is Selling Attack Helicopters To Nigeria by Minsk24: 6:49am On Feb 15
NuclearWinter:

One of the major advantages of deploying drones is that a particular sector under terrorist control can be harassed constantly 24/7 .

Night operations can be carried out by equipping drones with cheap infrared vision cameras unlike the case where conventional air combat operations are limited because of lack of more expensive gear for the piloting crew.

One of the biggest draw back in the war against terror is that virtually all engagements are restricted to day time thus giving the terrorist a moment of reprieve at night.

With cheap expendable loitering drones , the terrorists can be engaged day and night leading to great psychological drain.

Your assertion is very correct, but i guess most of these deals were made under buhari...
Helicopter would still have multiple usage in cases of airlifting personnel and equipment
Politics / Re: Suggestion For Food Scarcity And Food Reserve Strategy by Minsk24: 6:41am On Feb 15
Excellent idea, but it should be a temporary measure, because without curbing insecurity, excessive importation will kill local farming....
The printing of cash for farmers is a good idea despite inflation, if it can have good oversight, that money will go straight into a value chain and the rewards will be benefited, without good oversight, the fate of tha anchor borrowers program will befall it .

It is Iran that is destroying Lebanon. Lebanon (a Christian majority country) accepted Palestinian refugees into their country. Iran started sponsoring the refugees Palestinians into various terrorist activities, established, armed and finance hezbollah to attack and destroy Lebanese Christians, economy and government 🤔
That's why no arab country is willing to allow Palestinian refugees into their country today. They'll rather continue to give them handouts.
The case of Lebanon is really crazy... Iran has really huge role in Lebanon, and it is destabilizing the govt...
Another weird thing is presence of Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon where the Lebanese govt has no jurisdiction over...
Sometime last year, factional Palestinian groups engaged each other in a shootout and it was difficult for the Lebanese Army to intervene, i can't remember what doused the tensions tho ..but it goes to show how weak the Lebanese state is
