You have made good points But i disagree with you on the area of a unipolar order running the planet. In my opinion, there are both benevolent and malevolent entities out there with an interest on the planet. . I also feel that we are on an evolutionary part as a specie to get to true understanding of who we are and the truth of our existence... Everything is not all doom and gloom.... |

Politics / Re: New Global Africans: Dollar & Euro Colonialism by Minsk24: 6:19am On Feb 22 |
You have made very good point on solutions for Nigerian problem, but the issue is not because of dollar... having a dominant currency for global trade has brought many advantages to global trade, if not for the US weaponizing dollar for sanctions, nobody for complain too much... If African countries can sit down and bring a new currency, that will be a good idea, but the process is a very complex one and will take a long time to achieve .. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: My Proposed Solution To The Naira Fall by Minsk24: 6:13am On Feb 22 |
Good idea to an extent, but u cannot just ban import, not every product can make economic sense to be produced in Nigeria, Nigeria first has to tackle insecurity and create a good business environment... the government should observe specific sectors where Nigeria can have a competitive edge in manufacturing and make necessary long term plans including more massive education for the youth to increase talent pool.... Simply put, manufacturing must be well planned because we have a globalized economy now, u have to carefully find out sectors that u can have a competitive edge ... |

Politics / Re: The Proposed Parliamentary System Of Government By Senator Prince Ned Nwoko Opt by Minsk24: 7:17am On Feb 17 |
Vote of no confidence in parliamentary system is pathway to instability....in a corrupt ridden country like Nigeria, MP's can be bribed and gang up against the PM ... a prime Minister should only be removed by a constitutional court, vote of no confidence should be an indictment, while the constitutional court will have the final say |

Postinor:In my idea... The prime Minister will not be decided by who is the leader of the party, it will be direct elections as we do for president . When the prime Minister is elected, rather than the normal system of the party with the most seats forming government or a coalition, the prime Minister will just appoint his cabinet, my idea is a fusion of presidential and parliamentary system together.... 1 Like |

Politics / Re: Elder Statesman, Aminu Dantata Backs Transition To Parliamentary System by Minsk24: 1:43pm On Feb 15 |
A parliamentary system without direct election of the prime Minister is not good... A parliamentary system that will need parties and coalition to form government will pave way for instability, we cannot afford to continue running elections due to cost... We tweak the parliamentary system to enable the prime Minister to be voted directly by the masses and would not need party or coalition to form government...he would just select ministers and focus on governance.. Parliamentary system biggest advantage is that u can not have a dullard as prime Minister...unlike the presidential system where the president can easily hide 10 Likes |

Politics / Re: Suggestion For Food Scarcity And Food Reserve Strategy by Minsk24: 6:41am On Feb 15 |
Excellent idea, but it should be a temporary measure, because without curbing insecurity, excessive importation will kill local farming.... The printing of cash for farmers is a good idea despite inflation, if it can have good oversight, that money will go straight into a value chain and the rewards will be benefited, without good oversight, the fate of tha anchor borrowers program will befall it . 2 Likes |

Raf4:The case of Lebanon is really crazy... Iran has really huge role in Lebanon, and it is destabilizing the govt... Another weird thing is presence of Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon where the Lebanese govt has no jurisdiction over... Sometime last year, factional Palestinian groups engaged each other in a shootout and it was difficult for the Lebanese Army to intervene, i can't remember what doused the tensions tho ..but it goes to show how weak the Lebanese state is 1 Like |
