The APC as a party has no powers to stop the 8th Assembly inauguration.

The only thing Buhari (as the president) could have done to stop the inauguration was to withdraw his letter of assent earlier sent to the National Assembly Clerk.

By and large, I think today's development is good for our democracy.

I don't think this is the case brother.

As you will have noticed, Stanbic has begun inviting new batches of candidates for assessment, while the same process is also underway for Graduate Trainees.

It's highly unlikely they'll embark on these if there are no vacancies.

I learned from an old Stanbic Recruitment thread that after interview/chat, ex-bankers seeking to join the bank are subjected to some sort of "checks" with CBN- to find out if the prospective hires have clean records with their previous employers.

This CBN clearance process I understand takes a few weeks (4-6) to be consummated.

So, for hopefuls who're ex-bankers, CBN approval may be responsible for this delay.
I believe once this is achieved, medical invites will follow.

I applied to several roles so my guess is I was invited for one of them but after contacting them, I was told to ignore the invite since I'm being considered for another role already

Just go for the assessment...role is not important at this phase.

Your Panel Interview invite (upon passing the assessment) will contain details regarding the role you're being considered for.

Alternatively, if you applied via the Stanbic career portal, you can log-on to your profile to view your Submissions and Application Status.

There is a test scheduled for tomorrow, 9am at their Walter Carrigton office in VI. You should be there by 8am according to the email I got. You can keep trying that number for clarification cos I just got off the phone with them some minutes ago. If you don't get through, just attend with your credentials (originals + copies). Obviously, they can't have a test earlier than 8am so you can be rest assured you ain't late.

They honour timely assessment reschedule requests but since you're scheduled for tomorrow, you should have made that request before now.

Why not do that immediately and see what's possible.

Because of time, I also recommend you call them if your invite contains a phone number.

Lmao! There's no such thing as “I Too Know” in the corporate setting. You have just decided to hide under an illogical umbrella, No problem! I believe you know there's something like “Adhering to/ Following instructions” in the formal setting( Especially for sensitive cases like examination). And when you fail to follow instructions or you do what you were not asked to do it is called “Goofing” in the “corporate/formal setting” as you called it

1. There's no such thing as: "I Too Know" in corporate/formal settings...it's completely alien. For your good information, ITK actually means "In The Know" NOT "I Too Know" (as used in Nigeria). It originated from the football circles and is used when referring to someone who's very close and privy to the affairs of a club.

2. The "instruction in print" DID NOT say you should attempt only Section B. It would be a different thing if it explicitly stated: "Attempt ONLY Section B". So, you wouldn't be flouting any instruction by taking the other quiz.

3. Sorry but I do not have the time for such things. You have a copy of the mail, don't you? Simply post it and analyze as it suits you.

I don't see any deal breaker here! The mail stated that applicants should take the section B test which is to last for 12minutes. If I were the examiner, I would disqualify any applicant that takes the untitled test cos that's what my primary school Teacher called ITK(I Too Know) and my Warri brothers call it OverSabi

If I were Airtel I would rather disqualify those who did not take the second quiz for failing to take INITIATIVE!

Most employers nowadays detest docile employees who wait all the time to be told what to do.

Future biz leaders (as sought by airtel) are supposed to be smart out-of-the-box thinkers who can reason and act independently.
