How on earth would you be insulting your president? ...and where are the insults? Christianity Etc › Re: Was Adam Truly The First Man On Earth? by Mintek: 12:58pm On Jun 14, 2015 |
sylarsquins: The Big question is " How did Man come into existence"?. The many religions we have today and those of the old gods possesses different beliefs on how Man came into being.
As a Christian, i learnt through the bible how Man came into life and I don't have to share it because I believe everyone knows that including non Christians because am not here to quote the Bible as am not that religious.
The generally known belief on how man came into the world is best explained through academia which states the evolution of man proposes that humans and apes derive from an apelike ancestor that lived on earth a few million years ago. The theory states that man, through a combination of environmental and genetic factors, emerged as a species to produce the variety of ethnicities seen today, while modern apes evolved on a separate evolutionary pathway.
My BIG question is, which should we believe and if Truly Adam came 1st from God, how then did he populate the world to what it is right now?. Get the 1-year Bible Reading Plan today and start searching the Scriptures. I assure you that this time next year, you will pray to God for forgiveness, for ever asking this kind of question. |

johnwizey: India beat Nigeria 99-1 Yea, I remember that one...with the ball transforming to either a huge stone or the head of an angry lion to scare away our goalkeeper each time the Indians took a shot at our goal. - That Pele took a shot that tore and passed through the belly of a goalkeeper. - That Rasheed Yekini's right foot shot was so ferocious that goalkeepers paid him never to shoot with that foot. - That India was banned for life by FIFA for using juju to beat Nigeria 100-1 in a football match. |
Politics › Re: Melaye Blames APC Senators For Loss Of Deputy Senate President by Mintek: 1:55am On Jun 11, 2015 |
donphilopus: This man should just keep shut lest thunder fires him. He 'dashed' out the Deputy Senate Presidency slot to PDP and he's here blabbing. The respect I used to have for Saraki and Dino Melaye has just diminished. I love the way Ndume was treated. He never knew Saraki had met with PDP Senators to offer them the 'Deputy Presidential' slot. He thought he had played fast on his fellow APC Senators to emerge the Deputy to Saraki. He may have dumped Saraki by now since his 'supposed' slot was freely given to Ekwerimadu and Saraki is in for a long thing.
The PDP Senators should know that they were the greatest losers yesterday. Out of the 57 Senators that were present at the hallowed chamber of the Senate during the 'sham' Election, only 8 of them were APC Senators. If a PDP Senator had moved a motion to nominate a fellow PDP Senator (say David Mark), he would have won the contest hands down and Saraki would have felt betrayed by now (which would have gladdened my heart). Saraki betrayed their trust in him when he defected to APC, he also betrayed APC's trust when he shunned the meeting convened by the President at the ICC and went to the floor of the Senate, they (PDP) should have also betrayed him by electing a PDP man as Senate President. I would have preferred it that way. PDP goofed! PDP did not goof. The party probably felt that with their minority status in the Senate, striking a deal with Saraki would be safer than installing David Mark and risking impeachment thereafter. |

Mbkite: A friend that works with one of these new generation banks told me about a job that was advertized internally in the bank, with Third Class as the only requirement. I have been wondering why they should make the job opening for only Third class graduates. I decided to bring it to Nairaland for proper deliberation. What do you think? Perhaps they can only afford a "third-class" pay for the role. |
