I think the second dog is a Bull Mastiff.... My reason being his heavily wrinkled face.

While the first is a South African Boer Boel.

The more handsome of the two (first dog) is an SA Boer Boel while the uglier second dog is a Bull Mastiff.

many persons have being confused on how to identify a bull mastiff and a boerboel..well!only a pro can differntiate the two top breed..i saw a post here where sum1 posted a pix of a bull mastiff,claiming its a boer boel..some people even believe that a boer boel has d colour of black mask and tan body while bull mastiff is milkish(how my palz call it)with black mask...while thats not how to clasify this breeds...boer boels have many colour variation such as black etc..i saw a chat between two novice arguein that boer boel are natural born with short tails while bull mastiff come with thick long tails..i just laughted at them telling them they have a lot to learn..
Anyway i have a little test for us the pet lovers and breeders..to classify these breeds below and tell us which one is a bull mastiff and which is a boer boer..and also tell us the potentials/characteristics of each breed...i will say mine when u have said urs

serious ! o my God ! theres one green duplex inside the compound were i met a guy that directed me to ask of ebuka,that theres a dog there,i made sure i described the type i meant in order not to turn out being a local breed he was referring to. i was pretty sure i heard a GSD bark at that premises, well i guess the three people i asked only knew the troublesome caucasian. if u were to compare between wolf and those GSD,which took the best in appearance?

..talking of discussin on other pet escept dogs,this thread wasn't only for dog owners but for all pet owners to discuss on matters relating to their pet..but from what i've seen and notice...dog owners are much bigger than and any other pet owners (eg:cat owners, birds etc)...

..i know some people wil call this a gsd because of the black mask..but to me its not a gsd...i've seen so many mongrels with black mask..anyway its my own opinion sha

..get a female...they are more protective and more aggresive than males...and also in terms of breeding..the female brings more
money
NOTE:they require attention more than males,and their upkeeping is more expensive than males....

this is wolf the GSD,the stud i finally chose for the task out of 3 dogs i came across,not that i couldnt locate other good GSDs but i was rushing due to the heat period that was against and i was considering the distance from were i stay even if theres a better GSD that is within enugu but as far as the distance is not trek-able, and again the price,then its off the book, atlist you have an idea of my predicament.
After various attempts to locate a good stud without any success, the first dog which i kinda disclosed earlier wasnt fit and appealing for the task.
The second which is the dog i came to notice due to the barks i occasionally hear whenever m entering my street wasnt leftout either. so i decided to ask my way towards the source of the barks. finally, i located the house which was inside the compound of royal palace of igwe nike, to my disappointment the dog was a Caucasian;which was sleeping with rear limbs stretched out like human being at the front porch. immediately he saw me, he sprang up, thats a really huge dog and to even knock at the door fear no gree me,if u see chain, i thought to my self if i m to knock and this dog breaks lose where will i run to? is it on the hand rail or on top keke that was parked;which i know the dog wont have any issue getting to me. i didnt persist due to the fact twasnt a GSD, i left the compound with an immediate effect.

finally, the third which i came to notice whenever m taking my dog for a walk within the street, always bark when m close to the building fence; how he knew i was there with a dog i still dont know. The bark was so similar to mine but much hard and hoarse i was certain enough it must be a gsd. i came in, i saw wolf ; wolf is a very big GSD with massive head and huge paws, fear gripped me i hesitated,i met the owner,made reservations and the cost for the whole service was free, the owner wasnt interested in any of those i saw that as being generous, you could imagine my mood that very moment. i was glad that what would ve been a futile journey turned out to be a bliss. to be continued...

....congrats...u mean u came inside igwe nnaji palace...and saw only a caucasian....u didnt research well..cos there is about 3 huge male gsd there..i know because thats where i stay....

.sir?..it depends on the breed...but if u ask me its not safe to use un-related breeds for mating....just like my friend here said,mating a nap mastiff wit a gsd...dats murder...it arent adviseble...my own opinion tho

sir...from what i can see ur dog arent a full breed rott weiler...not minding the colour...ur dog has weak bones and hip displature.....feed him well enough protein qnd carbohydrate will do him good....and about him not having a box head..well,it depends if dam or stud werent box head..dont focus on d head rather focus on ur dog's diet
