RomanceRe: 6 Reasons You Should Get Married Before 27 by missbehave247(op): 9:06pm On Jul 11, 2015
Men should be 30years, @30 He should have put things in order
Visocrate:
do you marry without money ? is it not money that does the wedding so if you clock 27 and nothing yet then wait and make the money instead of rushing into it and jumping out the next moment that's for the girls anyway but for men 27 is too early even because a man needs to put somethings in order first before thinking along that line
Romance6 Reasons You Should Get Married Before 27 by missbehave247(op): 8:56pm On Jul 11, 2015
The question of the right time to get married has been a hot topic in different groups and talk shows over the past few months.

Find out below, 6 reasons you should get married
before the age of 27.

1. Prevent sin:
For those who believe in the concept of purity before marriage. Early marriage is one thing that can help you enjoy sex the way it was designed.

2. You can never really be ready:
You will always want to make more money and be more
comfortable and be a better person to ‘increase’ your options. But it’s even better when you can grow and become better with the person you love by your side, supporting you and propping you up during this journey.

3. You’ll never find the right companion:
Many are in constant search for their ‘one true love’ and this tend to make them spend more years waiting, you’re probably not the right person for anyone. Just learn to improve on yourself.

4. Heartbreak:
Many ladies decide not to try love again simply because a guy betrayed her. sweetheart just one word, “If he deserves you, he
wont leave or break your heart”. Put together the pieces of your heart and move on.

5. Self confidence:
As a lady, your self confidence automatically increases when you are married because you think in a more matured manner
having at the back of your mind that you are a complete woman.

6. Fear of commitment:
Commitment is willingness to give your time and energy to something that you believe in, or a promise or firm decision to do
something. If you are still scared of commitment, its high time you snap out as someday you have to be committed to one thing or another.

Society and some cultures have driven the concept of late marriage deep in the consciousness of everyone because of the alarming increase in divorce which has made marriage a feat for only those with courage.

PoliticsDogara's Trip Costs $7,000 Per Hour by missbehave247(op): 8:09pm On Jul 09, 2015
Two days ago the Speaker of the House of
Assembly, Hon. Yakubu Dogara, flew a private
jet to Delta state to commission an altar in a
church at “King Jesus and I Ministry’s Covenant
Alter of Testimony.”

According to Sahara Reporters, the private jet is
estimated to cost about N1,392,650 ($7,000) per
hour, which means the speaker’s estimated two-day
trip cost about N66.8 million ($336,000).

Dogara meets with traditional rulers
When an online news portal Sahara Reporters broke
the news, Dogara told the media that he paid for the
trip himself and he did not use public money to fund
his personal trip.

The speaker a member of the ruling party the All
Progressives Congress (APC), just began his term in
the National Assembly on a campaign, which
promised to fight corruption and waste in
government.

Dogara who has been a National Assembly
representative since 2007, however did not explain
how he could afford such a trip in a luxury jet.

The speaker said that he did not want to travel to
Delta State but was “directed by God” to come and
speak to the church members.

In a related development, there were controversies
on social media after Hon. Dogara flew a private jet
to Delta state.

baadejoko:

I am a man of 27 years old and I am a bit comfortable and will like to settle as soon as possible. The problem here is that 2 girls are in love with me. The first I met her in 2010 without wooing she started falling in love and she was a bit desperate as she was asking for marriage during my service year she was in year 1 then at university. The second girl was a nurse I met last year in the course of my work she was a student then I ask her she agreed after playing me for 5 months I am getting fed up when she send the 'I don accept' text msg. I am more comfortable with the nurse than the other girl. The first girl always initiate break ups and coming together always complaining of me not [s]CARING AND ROMANTIC (I am not truly cos I lost that part of me when I lost my favourite cousin to death in 2009). I am not the lady type sha cos I don't really like something that will take away my freedom.[/s]
The problem now is the first girl after breaking up with me in late 2013, she just show up at my place last week telling me she loves me bla bla bla to a point she was demanding sex as she claimed she was a virgin meanwhile the nurse is working on my psyche up to the point that right now I am a regular church goer (as I abandon everything after my cousin death to the point that cost my first class) but now she is misbehaving just because I shouted at her on phone and not telling her where I am going before time and she has stopped talking to me. She even came to my house cos she was treating a cousin of mine that stays with me, she just 'hi' me.
What should I do to both girl?
THING TO NOTE

2. My friends prefer the first girl
3. My family love the other girl as my family lives close to her family in my village

PoliticsEkweremadu: Police, NASS Clerk, Others Meet Over Petition by missbehave247(op): 5:51am On Jul 07, 2015
The police yesterday visited the clerk of the National Assembly, Alhaji Salisu Maikasuwa, over a petition alleging that the Senate Standing Rule was altered illegally.

The media was awash yesterday with reports that the police had invited the deputy Senate president, Sen Ike Ekweremadu to clear his name over the alleged forgery of the said document.

Deputy force spokesman, CSP Abayomi Shogunle, who spoke with the media on the alleged forgery and invitation of Ekweremadu, said the police never invited Ekweremadu to report at the Force Headquarters over allegation of forgery.

According to him, the petition was against the procedure and not Ekweremadu.

His declaration coincided with the storming of the National Assembly by a detachment of policemen from Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) led by a Commissioner of Police (CP), for investigation of the alleged crime.

Inspector-General-of-Police-Solomon-Arase

The Force CID officers, led by a commissioner of police whose name tag was not displayed on his chest, were said to have left a message for Ekweremadu to appear before them yesterday at Force CID Headquarters, Area 10, Garki, Abuja.

LEADERSHIP recalls that the Nigeria Police had on Sunday invited Ekweremadu to appear at Force Headquarters yesterday following his alleged involvement in forging the Senate rules.

Shogunle disclosed that the police met with the clerk of the National Assembly and some principal officers over the petition.

The police officer confirmed that the meeting took place in the office of the clerk yesterday, saying that a senator petitioned that the Senate standing rule was substituted without the authorisation of the Senate.

Shogunle said the meeting where some senators were questioned followed a request by the police to the clerk to facilitate it. He also confirmed that the petitioner had made a statement to the police over the allegation.

The spokesman who was asked whether the petition was specifically targeted at Ekweremadu said it was not, but “against procedures”.

He affirmed that contrary to the report that the deputy Senate president was invited, the lawmaker was not invited by the police, but he declined further comments, saying that the matter was still under investigation.

The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had on Sunday alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was planning to use the police to remove the deputy Senate president, a PDP chieftain, from office. The PDP spokesman, Olisa Metuh had alleged that the ruling party was planning to eliminate Ekweremadu.

But the APC spokesman, Lai Mohammed, in a reaction on Sunday, denied the allegations of the PDP, pointing out that the party had no hand in the travails of the deputy Senate president.

I Can’t Be Intimidated – Ekweremadu

Meanwhile, Ekweremadu yesterday declared that no amount of harassment from desperate politicians will deter him from carrying out his constitutionally prescribed duties as deputy president.

He said he was validly elected by the 8th Senate through an election transparently conducted on June 9, 2015.

Responding to allegations by Senator Kabiru Marafa (APC Zamfara Central) that he and some other ranking senators of the 7th Senate forged the Senate Standing Orders 2015, as amended, in the heat of the leadership crisis few weeks back, Ekweremadu submitted that the alleged forgery was an amendment carried out by the 7th Senate preparatory to the take-off of the 8th Senate.

Though Marafa was ruled out of order upon which he based his allegation, another APC senator, Suleiman Hunkuyi (Kaduna North), in his capacity as secretary of the Senate Unity Forum, forwarded a written petition to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) last week on the alleged forgery for thorough investigation.

But Ekweremadu, in a statement issued by his media aide, Uche Anichukwu, said since the news of his purported invitation by the Police broke out on Sunday, he has received calls from numerous

Nigerians across regional and political divides, expressing their solidarity and stressing the need to protect the independence of the legislature.

The statement reads: “In all these, however, let it be known that no amount of intimidation or harassment will deter Senator Ekweremadu from carrying out the constitutionally prescribed duties, which on June 9, 2015, PDP and APC senators willingly elected him in the full glare of the world to perform.

“The deputy president of the Senate further wishes to assure Nigerians that necessary steps are being taken by the security agencies to beef up security around him.

“Senator Ekweremadu wishes to assure all Nigerians and concerned members of the international community that everything is under control and that all democratic steps are being taken to preserve the nation’s democracy and protect the independence of the legislature.”

I kind of agree with you. Seriously, the more you look at it the more you see how hopeless the situation is. Nigeria is simply too big and diverse for her own good. We have all seen the aftermath of this colonial error which was promoted after independence by our own ingenious compradoes. PoliticsSetting Agenda For The 8th Senate by missbehave247(op): 4:35am On Jul 07, 2015
The senate president, Bukola Saraki has set
up a committee to draw up a legislative
agenda for the 8th Senate. In this report,
JONATHAN NDA-ISAIAH takes a look at
pressing legislations the 8th Senate needs to
consider

The 8th Senate started on a shaky note last
month with the elections of the leadership
senate causing a crisis in the senate. For the
first time in the senate, lawmakers have a bi-
partisan leadership with Senator Bukola
Saraki from the All Progressives Congress
(APC) as the Senate president while Senator
Ike Ekweremadu as deputy from the
opposition Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP).
Also, the selection of principal officers also
caused a stir in the Upper House.

However, by last week, signals that peace
may return to the senate appeared with the
meeting between President Muhammadu
Buhari and the aggrieved lawmakers. The
president urged “warring” lawmakers to
respect the supremacy of the party and put
their personal interest in their pockets for
the sake of the country’s democracy.

He said: “Whatever your personal interests,
put them in your pocket. Let APC work. Let
the system work. I appeal to you to accept
the superiority of the party. I cannot confine
myself in Sambisa forest and refuse to
participate in the meeting because I respect
the superiority of the party.”

“The elections have come and gone and the
APC has won the battle and lost the war, this
is the paradox of democracy and we can see
how we are going to manage it. I have a
worthy appeal to you, the chairman; to you
the leadership of the party; to you the
senators and members of the house of
representatives and to you the governors,
that the APC must not disappoint our
constituencies and the nation state.

He also added that:“We thank God in four
years we have to convince our
constituencies that we are individually
worthy of the sacrifices they have made, we
have stayed awake days and nights,
travelling around to make sure that the
party emerged victorious. What
subsequently happened is human, and as
human beings, we are not perfect but let our
collective action in this party rule because
we have won the election and we will
eventually win the war.”

With this admonishing from the president,
the warring lawmakers may sheath their
swords and settle down to legislative
business.

Many Nigerians are expecting the 8th Senate
to pass the long awaited Petroleum Industry
Bill, the electoral act, Constitution
amendment and the National Conference
report. Oversight function which used to be
an avenue for extortion from ministries and
MDAs by lawmakers need to be strengthen
just as properly monitoring of budget to
ensure strict implementation by the
executive should be the norm.

It will be recalled that just before their
recess, The Senate President inaugurated
two ad hoc committees on finance and
legislative agenda.

While the Ad Hoc Committee on Legislative
Agenda is made up of 18 senators, the Ad
Hoc Committee on Finance is made up of 10
senators.

Speaking during the inauguration of the Ad
Hoc Committee on Legislative Agenda,
Saraki explained that the Committee would
be saddled with the responsibility of
charting a renewed course for the 8th
Senate.

He said: “This Committee will be doing so in
total recognition of the works of yesterday,
the difficulties of today and the challenges of
tomorrow.

“Legislatures globally respect and fulfill a
core yet central function of the parliament;
which is purely scrutiny and assent giving.
This is why the legislature by any global
description depicts it as the link between the
people and those who govern them.

“In essence, they (legislators) do not govern,
but they provide the means by which a
political system can maintain the balance
between effectiveness and consent, that is,
between the needs of government to be able
to raise resources necessary to carry out a
programme of public policy and to maintain
the consent of the people.

“Distinguished colleagues, the challenges
ahead are very daunting and onerous in
nature and this therefore requires the input
of the whole committee towards generating
a refined report”.

He stated that the objectives and mission of
the legislative agenda are but not limited to:
increasing the institutional capacity of the
Senate, building a legislative autonomy and
strengthening the committee system,
oversight functions, extensive
representation and outreach, stakeholder
and civil society involvement,
implementation, monitoring and evaluation,
reduction running cost, and effective
legislative support system.

Speaking also during the inauguration of the
Committee on Finance, Saraki hinted that it
would monitor and review the Senate
finances.

According to him, “The subject of reduction
in cost of governance has been a sensitive
matter on the front burner of national
issues in the polity, especially with regards
to the legislature. While much of this could
be due to an underlining ambiguity in the
monthly salaries of legislators and their
allowances, there still persists the need to
project clarity, accountability and
transparency in all legislative matters and
legislators’ welfare.

“The 8th Senate, under our watch,
recognises the concerns raised by Nigerians
about the cost of running office most
especially with the economic challenges
facing our nation.

“The Senate will be more transparent
regarding all public funds spent for the
purpose of paying salaries and allowances
of legislators and ensure that distinction is
sufficiently made between what a legislator
actually earns and what is spent to run and
implement legislative business and
committee activities.

“The watchword in our financial issues will
be fiscal conservatism. It is, therefore, on
this arm that the Committee is mandated to
carry out thorough fiscal examination on the
senate finances with the aim of coming up
with the best cost-effective regime in the 8th
Senate”.

LEADERSHIP recalls that Senators Ben
Murray Bruce, Dino Melaye and Shehu Sani
have been in the forefront for the reduction
of salaries for legislators and were included
in the finance committee.

Members of the Finance Committee to be
chaired by Senator James Manager (PDP,
Delta South) include senators Ali Ndume,
Ahmed Sani Yerima, Shaaba Lafiagi, Sonni
Ogbuoji, Sonni Ogbuoji and Gbenga Ashafa.
While members of the Committee on
Legislative Agenda to be chaired by the
Senate Leader, Ali Ndume, include senators
Babajide Omoworare, Duro Faseyi, Tayo
Alasoadura, Sonni Ogbuoji, Uche Ekwunife,
Hope Uzodinma, Ben Murray-Bruce, George
Sekibo, John Enoh, Mohammed Hassan,
Binta Garba, Kabiru Gaya, Shehu Sani, Bala
Na’Allah, Abubakar Kyari, David Umoru and
Joshua Dariye.

According to Raliat Ibrahim, a political
analyst, members of the 8th senate need to
settle down and get focused. Internal
rancour and fight for supremacy should not
be prioritized so much that the primary
purpose of the National Assembly will be
pushed to the background.

She said, “Nigeria, as it were, is not short of
laws. But how effective have the Bills
presented and those passed into law been in
improving the lives of Nigerians? I would
rather the 8th Senate focus on energizing
every sector, particularly those directly
affecting the masses such as power,
infrastructure and economic growth.

“Issues bordering on security should top the
agenda. Security operatives should be
empowered to tackle security challenges in
the country. Oversight functions should not
be toyed with, while they should push for
being less corrupt. “ she concluded.
