CultureOlugbo’s Claim Unworthy Of My Response – Soun by missbehave247(op):

The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Oladunni Oyewunmi , Ajagungbade III , said on Tuesday that he would not comment on the claim of the Olugbo of Ugbo , Oba Obateru Akinruntan, that he was the leader of all monarchs in Yoruba land .

The Olugbo said at an event in Ibadan that he was the custodian of authentic Yoruba history and that Oduduwa , the acclaimed progenitor of the Yoruba , met his people in Ile -Ife.

“ I am the leader of all obas in Yoruba land . I speak with thunder in my mouth and I make bold to say so . No one is above me in Yoruba land inasmuch as it has been accepted that we are from Ife. I am the one that Oduduwa met at Ife. We are the husband of Moremi Ajasoro. Anyone who wants real Yoruba blessing should approach me . I am the one bestowed with the power .

“ People should face the truth . My account of the history of Yoruba race is the most accurate and authentic. I have published a book on it already . Don’ t mind my critics who use Facebook to abuse me. The truth is that many of them are children of slaves .

“ They don’ t want the true story of their fathers to be told . Slaves don’ t want history to be told. I am bold because I am not the son of a slave . My book is there . The Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile -Ife, has accepted the book as the authentic history of the Yoruba race . I am about to publish another book on the same subject , ” Olugbo had said .

But speaking through his private secretary , Toyin Ajamu, the Soun of Ogbomoso said responding to such a claim would only make the Olugbo achieve his aim of achieving popularity .

He said as a first class oba and one of the oldest traditional leaders in the land , he would not place himself at a position where he would take issue with a fellow monarch or anyone on an issue that he considered irrelevant.

“ Kabiyesi is over 90 years old . He hardly responds to issues that have no positive effect on his people . Reacting to what Olugbo said will only make the Olugbo more popular over this issue. He said he will not take issues with Oba Akinruntan over the leadership claim . Soun’ s status is far more than such a claim . Kabiyesi said that he had no interest in the matter raised by Olugbo, ” said Soun’ s secretary .

Meanwhile, the Yoruba Youth Socio- cultural Association has disagreed with Akinruntan over his declaration that he was the leader of all Yoruba kings .

The President of the group , Olalekan Hammed , said this in a statement on Tuesday.

The group also warned monarchs in Yoruba land to stop the raging supremacy battle , which according to it , would further ridicule them before the members of the public.

The statement reads , “ The Alaafin of Oyo and the Ooni of Ife are known to be the foremost obas in Yoruba land , according to history and none of the Yoruba forefathers in the past generations disputed the fact .

“ We enjoin the new generation obas to ensure peace and unity among themselves because an average oba should be a role model in the society . ”

Olalekan Adetayo , Abuja
President Muhammadu Buhari’ s Personal Assistant on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie , on Friday said the relationship between the President and the Acting President , Yemi Osinbajo, will remain cordial till 2023 and beyond.

If Buhari decides to contest for a second term with Osinbajo in 2019 and wins, their second tenure is expected to end in 2023.
Onochie ’ s position was contained in a message she posted via her Twitter handle , @ Laurestar, and on her Facebook page .

She was reacting to a statement credited to a former Minister of Aviation , Chief Femi Fani -Kayode, in which he criticised Osinbajo for saying Buhari treats him like a son .
The presidential aide wondered why the former minister must comment on all developments in the polity .

She wondered how Osinbajo’ s statement that Buhari treats him like a son “ has become a source of anger and anxiety for Femi Fani -Kayode . ”

She expressed surprise that Fani- Kayode could not understand “ father /son relationship, respect , decency and loyalty, ” saying , “ No he can’ t . He doesn ’ t possess the capacity to even begin to comprehend any sort of relationship. None!”

Onochie expressed the confidence that Fani - Kayode and others could not , no matter how they try , put a wedge between Buhari and Osinbajo.

She said the bond that held the two leaders together was not personal , but that they shared commitment to Nigeria and Nigerians.

Illustrating with different pictures of Buhari and Osinbajo from the campaign period that heralded the 2015 presidential election to the inception of the present administration, Onochie said the leaders would remain united beyond 2023.

She wrote , “ As it was in the beginning… So it is now …And so shall it be till 2023 and thereafter …”
Osinbajo had during his visit to the Emir of Katsina , Abdulmumin Usman , on Thursday, said he was at home in the state because the President , who hails from the state, treats him like a brother and son .

“ I feel very much at home in Katsina; more so , because this is the state of the President who has taken me as a brother.
“ In fact , the President has taken me as a son in the way he treats me, ” Osinbajo had said .

He also said with the kind of responsibilities assigned to him , Buhari had left no one in doubt that both of them can live together as brothers.

While saying that the President believes in the unity of the country, the Acting President prayed that God would preserve Buhari , who is currently on medical vacation in London, the United Kingdom .

“ The amount of responsibilities President Buhari has given me shows he seriously believes we can live together as brothers.
“ I pray the Lord will preserve our President to continue to lead as the nation has voted him to do. He seriously believes in Nigerian unity , ” he added .

Adelani Adepegba, Abuja

A Federal Road Safety Corps patrol team has intercepted three suspected child traffickers with 17 minors in Kaduna .

The corps said a male driver of a Ford Galaxy mini- bus, and two others , including a woman , were arrested and handed over to the National Agency for Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons .

A statement by the FRSC spokesman, Bisi Kazeem , on Saturday in Abuja said the vehicle with registration number LMU 76 XA did not stop when flagged down, but was arrested at a traffic light at Dutsinma junction in Kaduna.

Kazeem explained that the vehicle was initially impounded for overloading and broken windscreen , but the corps personnel on closer examination suspected the occupants to be child traffickers with minors heading to an unknown destination
“ The patrol team had earlier set out to book the driver for committing traffic offences of overloading and broken windscreen; but on close inspection, the team leader noticed that the front windscreen of the vehicle had a crack and counted 17 minors and three adults totalling 20 persons instead of only nine persons occupying the vehicle, which raised her suspicions , ” he said .

The corps stated that the vehicle was impounded and taken to the base for overloading, seat belt violation and windscreen violation .

On learning about the incident, Kazeem said the Corps Marshal , Boboye Oyeyemi , directed the case to be reported to the Comptroller of Immigration Kaduna State , who immediately sent his personnel to impound the vehicle and its occupants for further investigation .

The children and the suspects, he added , were subsequently taken to Kano office of NAPTIP for further investigation and necessary action.

Everybody has one thing or another to share when it comes to love and relationship but not all advice are meant to be followed. People give advice according to their experience but it will not necessarily work for you the way it worked for them.

Let us take a look at seven love advice that you should think twice about:

1. Forgive and forget: Yes, forgiveness is a very important aspect of every relationship, but this is usually easier said than done, especially the part about forgetting. When you have been hurt, letting-go takes time and you never forget.
If you try to rush this process, you will end up finding that all you did was sweep everything under the carpet and soon after, things will only blow up in your face. Take your time, talk it out with your partner and do not rush so that when you do forgive, you forgive for real.

2. Love conquers all: Love conquers a lot of things, no doubt, but it does not conquer every single thing you will face in your relationship. With some issues, only patience, time and maturity or even a breakup will help you solve it.
A lot of people are in relationships that are not working out simply because they stubbornly believe that just because they are in love, everything should be okay. You need to recognize the things that love is incapable of dealing with and work on them with what is needed.
3. Never go to bed angry: This advice is basically saying you must solve all problems and deal with every argument all within the day. Frankly, this is just impossible. Sometimes, some problems need time to be solved.
Sometimes, all you need is a break, to sleep on your argument and get some much needed space for things to get better. If you have a time limit on all your fights, a lot of things will not be tackled and at the end of the day, you will say good night when you know you are not really at peace with yourself and your relationship.

4. Love hurts: Betrayal hurts, pain hurts, heartbreak hurts, but love is the one thing that should make you feel good. A lot of people repeat the “love hurts” mantra to themselves to justify being in a hurtful relationship. True love should never bring about
pain and despair. Yes, there will be stormy waters, but true love should be the only light during this time.

5. Love is blind: Finding someone you love should never be a decision to be made blindly. You cannot go through the true challenges of any relationship if you entered into it blindly.

6. Money does not matter:
Money is never everything, but it sure matters. You cannot have a strong relationship without having some sort of financial stability. You might not have it all, but in a relationship, you have to both be content with where you are with the belief that things can and will get better. Pretending money is not an issue will only lead to each of you feeling discontent and not being able to discuss it or find a solution.

7. True love is forever: There will be times in your relationship when you are not even sure you love your partner. There will be times you feel numb or unhappy with them but this does not mean what you have is not true love. Love ebbs and flows.
Sometimes you love them so much you cannot imagine life without them, and sometimes, you just want to run away, but underneath it all, you both share a bond that will never be broken. That is love.

8. Follow your heart: Your heart is important in determining what you feel for someone but you should not make all your love decisions based on how you feel. It is important that you use your
brains and intuition to also determine whether or not someone will make the best fit for you.

NYSCNYSC Deploys Biometric Technology For Conduct Of Check On Corps Members by missbehave247(op): 7:10pm On Sep 03, 2015
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has
developed a biometric data capturing
technology that will help in the nationwide
conduct of weekly and monthly check on
corps members.

The Director-General of the corps, Brig.-
Gen. Johnson Olawumi, said this during the
inauguration and practical demonstration of
the programme at the Kuje Area Council,
Abuja.

“It is going to make sure that corps
members stay in their places of primary
assignment. It will reduce the rate at which
they travel.

“It will help the core employers to benefit
from the services of these corps members
maximally because they will now remain in
their places of primary assignment.

“We have policies in the scheme that guide
absence from places of primary assignment.
For example – there are certain number of
times a corps member can be absent and
such a corps member – in punishment – the
service will be extended.

“We are not doing this in isolation it is in line
with the policies of the scheme. It is going to
bring transparency and accountability into
the way we do things.

“My staff, who have been conniving with
corps members in the past will not be able
to do that anymore because unless such a
corps members cuts the thumb and gives to
anybody to thumb print for him.“

The DG said that six members of staff were
presently facing possible dismissal from the
scheme after being caught engaging and
conniving with corps members to leave their
places of primary assignment.

He said that the disciplinary measure being
taken was in line with the public service rule
and the NYSC condition of service.

He said that the biometric technology made
provision for corps members who may
genuinely fall sick or have reasons to be
away from their areas of assignments
during the course of the service year.

Olawumi said that the biometrics would first
be deployed for use in Lagos and Abuja
adding that it will be fully adopted by other
states of the federation next year.

“This exercise will start this September with
corps members of batch C 2014 who will be
passing out soon and batch A 2015 and it is
going to start this September in Lagos state
and the entire FCT.

“Batch B 2015, those who will be in Lagos
and FCT this biometrics will be applied for
them throughout their service year. By next
year we will try to extend it to all the other
states in the federation.

“The demonstration, which we are
witnessing today, is part of the second
phase of the computerisation process of the
operations of the NYSC scheme for the
purpose of enhancing our overall
performance.

“Let me also allay the fears of some corps
members we are going to make it very user
friendly.
“We are going to do it in such a way that it
will not impose additional or inconvenience
on you than what you face presently.“

He said that the analogue system which was
previously in use promoted unwarranted
journey to schools to collect call-up letters
which led to accidents or loss of letters and
in some cases some persons missed the
service year.

The DG urged corps members and staff of
the scheme in states and local governments
to embrace the process with diligence in
order to make it a success.

He said that the service would not tolerate
acts geared towards sabotaging the success
of the program noting that the scheme was
working assiduously to computerize all
activities of the scheme in line with global
best practices.

According to Olawumi, by this, the NYSC like
other agencies of government will be
positioned to render seamless, efficient, and
effective service to Nigerians.

The D-G warned corps members wishing to
stage any form of protest either on non-
payment of allowance or other matters to
desist from such endeavor as there was no
provision for such in paramilitary agencies.

He said that corps members caught would
be severely sanctioned and disciplined
calling on states and local governments
owing allowances to corps members to
ensure immediate payment.

Olawumi said that the biometric technology
was already in use by the scheme as ID
cards of corps members had chips which
were used to identify and locate them
especially in cases of emergency.

“The package also includes a change in the
certificate they will receive at the end of
their service year. The certificate of national
service will now carry the passport
photograph of the corps member to
forestall theft.

“Employers of ex corps members can now
login the NYSC website and verify the
certificate and authenticity of other
information presented them” he added.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Kuje Area
Council, Hon. Ishaku Saban, lauded the hard
work and diligence corps members serving
in the council showed in the discharge of
their duties.

He assured the scheme of improvement in
infrastructural development in order to
improve the condition of the people and
corps members living within the area.

Dr. Micheal Ikhide, the Director corps
welfare of the scheme said that the task of
effectively monitoring corp members
nationwide had remained a challenge to
management.

Ikhide said the launch of the biometrics
would check cases of absenteeism,
submission of monthly clearance letters by
proxy and other forms of indiscipline
among corps members. (NAN)

CrimeTrailer Falls Off Bridge, Kills Three In Lagos by missbehave247(op): 12:27pm On Sep 03, 2015
No fewer than three people were killed on Wednesday after a container on a 40-feet trailer fell off the Ojuelegba Bridge onto the road below.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the container, which was not latched to the trailer, crushed two private vehicles which were in motion.

The vehicles, a white Toyota and a black jeep, were reportedly mangled under the weight of the container.

A crowd of residents and motorists was said to have converged on the scene as there was apprehension on the number of casualties involved in the incident.

The situation was said to have caused traffic snarl in the area as traffic officials had a tough time controlling the number of people trooping the scene and redirecting the traffic.

The driver of the trailer reportedly attempted to escape the scene.

He was, however, apprehended by the angry mob.

A witness, who identified himself as Sir J, said the accident happened around 4.50pm.

He said, “It happened around 4.50pm, as we were all in the park doing our businesses.

“The container on the 40-feet trailer suddenly fell off the bridge and crushed two private cars.

“The driver of the trailer wanted to flee, but we apprehended
him. There is chaos everywhere.”

A check on social media by our correspondent showed the accident was already trending, as people called on government officials to intervene.

A resident with the Twitter handle@ lvck_skinhead, wrote, “I just started running, couldn’t even look back; so many injured and dead. I have never been this scared in my life.”

Another resident, Olaseni Oladejo, said one of the cars was mobile when the container fell.

The resident, who wrote on Twitter, said, “The truck container fell on a moving car killing the driver and one passenger.”

The General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Michael Akindele, said three persons died in the incident.

He said, “We are already on the ground and there is a lot of crowd around here.

“Three persons were killed. Rescue operation is still ongoing.”

The spokesperson for the National Emergency Management Agency, South West zone, Ibrahim Farinloye, said the occupier of the second car escaped unhurt.

He said, “It is one jeep that is under the container. And I was told just one person is inside, but we have yet to ascertain whether it is a man or a woman.

“Rescue officials from the state and federal agencies are on the ground.”

Romance25 Diseases And Medical Conditions That Can Be Cured By Simply Having S3x [MUST by missbehave247(op): 2:08pm On Aug 29, 2015
Relationship tips – 25 diseases and medical
conditions that can be cured by S3x- often leads to
deadly diseases and subsequent death if done
wrongly, however, when a faithful couple medical
conditions.

Below are 25 known medical conditions researchers,
doctors and scientists have discovered that sex can
easily get rid of:

1. Depression:

Without the help of researchers, just about anyone can agree that sex will make you feel good about yourself and just a bit more confident. But one researcher has said there’s a scientific explanation that goes a bit farther. Professor Gordon Gallop says that there’s an unknown chemical in semen that has
an antidepressant effect on women.
2. Pregnancy:

Sex is both the cause and the cure for pregnancy. Women who are ready to induce labor often have sex to speed up the process, and research backs up this method. Semen contains prostaglandins, which help the cervix prepare to open, and orgasms produce oxytocin, which will help cause contractions.
3. Headaches:

Although sex can sometimes bring on a headache, it can cure them too. The tension release your body experiences during and after sex can ease restricted blood vessels in the brain.
4. Menstrual cramps:

Sex acts as an analgetic to relieve menstrual pain, primarily because of the relaxation and endorphins sex brings.
5. Arthritis:

In his book, “How to Treat Arthritis with Sex
and Alcohol,” rheumatologist Carter V. Multz asserts that sex, as well as alcohol and other complementary treatments, can reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation associated with arthritis.
6. Common cold:

Manfred Schedlovski, a Swiss researcher from
Zurich, asserts that sex has a positive effect on phagocytes, which are a part of the immune system that goes after alien bodies, like cold germs, and kills them. Phagocytes are increased signficantly during sex, and will often double after orgasm.
7. Stress:

Orgasms offer a great way to relax, and even
nonorgasmic sex offers some relief. Dr. Joshua Golden asserts sex’s relaxation properties, as well as emotional benefits.
8. Tooth decay:

Kissing, as well as MouthAction, encourages saliva
production. This increase in saliva helps to wash food particles from your teeth, prevents plaque build-up, and helps lower decay-causing acid. Additionaly, seminal plasma has been shown to help prevent tooth decay.
9. Erectile dysfunction:

By exercising your Kegel muscles with frequent sex and delaying ejaculation, men can help strengthen muscles enough to help with minor erection problems.
10. High blood pressure:

Semen has been found to lower blood pressure in women. Specifically, swallowing semen can help ward off preeclampsia, which is a dangerously high blood pressure that sometimes occurs during pregnancy.
11. Insomnia:

Many people find that the relaxation they experience after sex helps them go to sleep.
12. Prostate cancer:

Men who ejaculate more frequently have been found to be at a lower risk of developing prostate cancer.
13. Hangovers:

Sex may not save your liver, but it will help you shake off a funk. Having sex will help boost your endorphins and oxytocins, which stimulate muscle contraction and help you avoid aggressiveness.
14. Toxic system:

Sex gets your blood pumping faster, which helps to rid the body of waste.
15. Heart disease:

Studies have shown that if men have sex twice a week or more, they tend to have a lower risk of heart attack. For women, increased levels of estrogen caused by sex help to protect against heart disease.
16. Stubborn wounds:

Studies have found that oxytocin, which is released during sex, can help wounds heal faster.
17. Low energy:

Sex increases energy through exercise and emotional well-being.
18. Minor cognitive problems:

Whenever you become sexually excited or have an orgasm, the hormone DHEA is released. DHEA has been found to improve cognition.
19. Skin irritations:

The sweat released during sex will cleanse your pores, helping to relieve rashes, blemishes, and other skin problems.
20. Pain:

Orgasm releases endorphins, which will alleviate pain for just about everything.
21. Obesity:

Although few doctors are likely to prescribe a sex diet, the fact is that sex is a form of exercise. Performing the act of sex requires physical activity that will burn calories and strengthen your heart. It’s an especially great exercise for those who have little motivation to get to the gym.
22. Incontinence:

Every time you have sex, you’re exercising your Kegel muscles, which are the same ones you use to stem
the flow of urine.
23. Weak bones and muscles:

Sex brings on a boost of testosterone, which helps to make your bones and muscles strong.
24. Semen allergy:

Unfortunately, some women are allergic to their partner’s semen. However, along with other treatments, frequent sex has been found to work as an effective desensitization therapy for this allergy.
25. Death:

That’s right, s3x can help ward off death for men. Professor Stuart Brody reports that men who orgasm twice a week are half as likely to die as those who only orgasm once a month.

Now go and have lots of s3x to stay healthy!

Though some people would likely see Emeka Ike, as a
controversial actor, popular Nollywood actress, Clarion Chukwura, has expressed optimism that Ike would handle the affairs of Actors Guild of Nigeria very well. She said she believes he is not a trouble maker.

“Emeka Ike is my colleague and a friend. He has spoken to me on several occasions on what he wants to do with the Actors Guild of Nigeria and I am eager to see him achieve his set goals. Emeka Ike is not a trouble maker. If he was, then why would such a number of state chairmen of the AGN support him? If the majority feels he can turn things then he is not a trouble maker. There are a lot of charlatans that expect President Buhari to fail but all I would say is that we should give Emeka Ike a chance and see if he would fail,” she said.

CareerWorkers Protest Factory Closure, Beg AMCON by missbehave247(op): 9:07am On Aug 26, 2015
The workers of Multi-Trex Integrated Foods Plc, an agro-allied company, say the closure of the factory by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria is affecting their well-being as the management is unable to pay their salaries.

They appealed to AMCON to re-open the factory in a peaceful protest held on Tuesday outside the company premises on Kilometre 29, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Warewa, Ogun State.

The workers said they were ready to work so that the firm could pay the loan it owned AMCON, as well as their 11-month salary arrears.

The protesters, who displayed placards, lamented that the closure had brought hardship to them and their families.

The placards read, ‘AMCON please settle with our management and save our posterity’, ‘Save our families from hunger and increasing debt’, ‘We are willing to work, AMCON please reopen our factory,’ among others.

PUNCH Metro learnt that AMCON shut down the company on June 26 following non-payment of a loan obtained by the company.

It was gathered that the corporation in 2011 bought the loan from the Skye Bank Plc, which had given it to the company.

Our correspondent learnt that the measure, which was said to be in line with the directive of the Central Bank of Nigeria, had denied Multi-Trex of accessing loan from other banks to continue with its operation.

The acting finance head of the firm, Mr. David Obijole, however, said the company was still servicing the loan when AMCON bought it.

He appealed to the corporation to allow for dialogues between it and the management of Multi-Trex to enable the factory to re-commence production so that it could repay the loan.

He said, “AMCON was supposed to buy non-performing loans from banks. But our company’s loan was still performing when AMCON bought it over from the Skye Bank Plc.

“One of the challenges now is that we need working capital which some banks are willing to give us, but for the restriction by CBN which bars any bank owing AMCON above N5m from accessing loan from local banks.

“We have foreign investors who are ready to pay AMCON and invest in cocoa that we produce in our company, but the closure is discouraging them. Since the government is clamouring for diversified economy, especially through agricultural sector, we urge the corporation to give us a consideration and reopen the factory for normal production to commence.”

The Head, Human Capital and Administration Services, Mrs. Mobola Sanya, said no fewer than 200 workers had been retrenched, while 50 others had to go on compulsory leave because of the closure.

She said, “The company has been handicapped since 2011 when AMCON bought over our loan facility.

“The company has not been able to access working capital thereby unable to pay back the debt it is owing AMCON. This has led to mass retrenchment of over 200 workers of the company and 50 other employess have been sent on compulsory leave without pay.

“About 70 staff members have not been paid salaries for 11 months. This has brought hardship to the affected workers and their numerous dependants with attendant loss of revenue to the country through export and foreign exchange generation.”

PoliticsNigerians now fare better under Buhari, says Oshiomhole by missbehave247(op): 8:45am On Aug 26, 2015
Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, on Tuesday,
said life is now better for Nigerians under the
administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The governor noted that in less than three months of
assuming office, Nigerians had started to feel the
impact of Buhari’s leadership style.

Oshiomhole said this during the 27th annual
education conference of textile workers in Kaduna.

The conference had as its theme, “Buhari
administration: Revival of the textile industry and
employment creation.”

“I understand now that electricity supply is stable. It
is just the fear of Buhari that led to the stability of
power supply,” he said.

He noted that the Federal Capital Territory that was
noted for darkness because the streetlights were not
functioning, is now aglow at night.

Oshiomhole said it is no longer business as usual,
noting that he was proud to be a Nigerian.

“The streetlights were not functioning but
immediately Buhari was inaugurated, the lights came
up. There is hope for Nigerians under President
Buhari,” he added.
The governor called on the leadership of the Nigeria
Labour Congress to end its crisis in order to support
the government of President Buhari.

Oshiomhole noted that the collapse of the textile
industry was not due to inadequate funding.
He said the industry failed because of bad
administration and corruption.

According to him, the textile industry needs a
cohorent policy, noting that with President Buhari at
the helm of affairs, the wrongs of the past would be
corrected.

He asked the Nigeria Customs Service not to aid
smugglers, warning that Buhari would not tolerate
corruption .

Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, who was at
the conference, said he was committed to the revival
of the textile industry in the state and warned that
“anybody that stands against our resolve to revive
this sector will be dealt with.”

He said the 25 megawatts of electricity from the
Gurrara Dam would be channelled for industrial use
in the state and urged the Federal Government to
speedily complete the Kudenda Power Plant for the
same purpose.

Meanwhile, the National President of the National
Union of Textile, Garment and Tailoring Workers of
Nigeria, Oladele Hunsu, said no fewer than 120,000
Nigerians lost their jobs as a result of the closure of
textile industries across the country.

“The revival of the textile industry in the state is a
matter of life and death but we prefer life. At least,
104 textiles factories have closed down due to
unfavourable working conditions,” he said.

He noted that with the renewed commitment of the
present administration of Buhari, the union was
hopeful that the industries would be resuscitated.
