Romance / Re: Can A Relationship Between Two Lovers Work When They Dont Have Alot In Common? by missojugo(f): 9:23am On Jul 08, 2014
ginky: I have been having this argument with some friends for sometime now. The thing is that I have a close friend who this topic relates to. She likes the guy and so does he. Her concern is that if they should start going out, the relationship would not last because they don't share alot in common. Infact, the day she revealed this to me, she had to think hard before getting out just 2 things they share in common.
Personally, I don't think the relationship would work but I dont know how to tell her. Please, I really want your wise replies on this matter and give your reasons for whatever your reply is.

Can you fry plantain with pure water?

Dear experienced nairaland parents,

Kindly recommend good and not overly expensive nursery/primary schools in the Lekki/Ajah area. Please recommend based on your experience or the experience of close friends or relatives. Thanks in advance.
Family / Re: I Hate Her And Even The Kids by missojugo(f): 4:12pm On Dec 10, 2013
Stop blaming your wife for your own foolish mistake. She didn't force you to come and join her there neither did she beg you to beat her up. She probably refused to come back home with you because you are a terrible wife beating hubby. So she should have allowed you to beat her to death abi? Who else did she have to call in no mans land apart from police. You should have gone to proper jail for 10 years for 'beating her up'. So now you hate your own children? You have serious issues. Better try and be in touch with your kids am sure they don't need your money, if you disown them you have God to answer to because they didn't beg you before you impregnate their mother. No make me vex come slap you sha!!

Politics / Re: Senator Ahmed Yerima Replies His Critics by missojugo(f): 9:36am On Jul 21, 2013
eldoradoxx: Thank you. Yerima said it all. My take on this is that if a girl is mature enough to be intimate out of wedlock, why not let a man marry her and legalise what she would otherwise be doing under the staircase, behind the school toilet, and other places. Would we rather have her do abortion at age 16 or prostitution or used as baby making factory at Aba or Owerri at age 17 than allow a decent man marry and care for her? We always say that Western societies are civilised, yet under the law in Britain a girl of 16 can legally marry with the consent of her parents or guardians, so why are we pretending here ! Are we now more civilsed that British and Americans ? If most of us make enquiry grandma, we would discover that many of them married at as early as age 14 and had their first kids at 15 or 16. If not for education that has deceived us into believing that to have kids is the end of educational pursuit, shudnt we rather follow the foot steps of our ancestors. Did our granddmom know anything like fibroid, did they have any cause to seek for abortion? How many of them were prostitutes ? They were not because they never had opportunity of being deprived of sex when they became biologically ready for that. Most of people who argue against Yerima's views do so because they probably are being intimate with girl out of wedlock and as far as they re concrned, it is ok and therefor, marriage should be an afterthought. Women are everywhere with nobody to marry them because sex has become too cheap, a man would rather have sex with different women than marry and you think Yerima is wrong ?

May you marry off your daughter at age 9 if God decides to bless you with one. And may d man be 55yrs old with a very huge weapon between his legs...Say Amen somebody!! (Afterall it will help her start enjoying sex on time and not have fibriod abi oga?)

Romance / Re: Describe The Worst Person You Ever Dated by missojugo(f): 2:17pm On May 26, 2013
DaBeaver:

Thanks for this comment. I dunno why ex's are always seen in bad light. I've had just three ex's in my entire life (I'll be getting married soon) and they are all my friends till date, as a matter of fact, the first of them is my best friend and confidant. I still go on casual dates with them, as often as work schedule allows, and we still share and give sincere advice. Maybe I've been fortunate and blessed; maybe y'all complaining have just been unlucky, but I have no reason to absolutely bad-mouth any of my ex's because they made me the better man that I am today for my fiancee!

My brother be careful with these your so called casual dates with best friend and friendly ex gfs even if they are married now. My mom always tells me "Any food u don't wanna eat don't keep it at arms reach and continue smelling it". A word is enough for d wise. Happy married life in advance!

Thanks for your response. I wish I could find a garri processing factory so I can find out what makes ijebu garri "slap" your taste buds while yellow garri doesn't. I am just a bit scared the "acidity" might be bad for my health.. Trying to be health conscious but sipping ijebu garri is one of those things I can't bring myself to stop without a serious reason!

Family / Re: Mothers Please Be Our Tutor During The 9 Months. by missojugo(f): 5:00pm On May 20, 2013
My pregnancies: the first 4 months are totally horrible! Can't eat, can't sleep, vomiting, weightb. Loss, if U dont know I was preggy you would think I had HIV!!! During those perilous months am like "Never again" but you know what when they put the baby in my arms and say "here's YOUR baby" I just melt and forget everything....

So my advise- if u can hold things down make sure u take all vitamins and Iron recommended by your Gyn, eat as much fruits as u can hold down, drink loads of water always, don't take more than a bottle of coke a day, make your soups with loads of dark green vegetable, minimize oil in your soups and stews, take a walk around your compound every evening or morning, and avoid arguments/confrontations that can increase your bp!!!
Most important of all look for a very good Gyn and check out his track record. Iy u don't feel comfy with him trust ya instincts and look for another one!

Welcome to motherhood

Family / Re: Does Your Husband Help With The Child At Night? by missojugo(f): 7:10pm On May 17, 2013
pDude: Hahahahahaha! I love this thread. Now lemme talk my experience (una know say I like to talk).

My kid was born about 5 months ago and we were all happy and all that.

Then we returned home from the hospital cheesy cheesy cheesy

Oh boy, imagine a baby that needs care every 2 hours and it equally takes about 2 hours to get her to sleep. Oh boy, it was traumatic. Imagine when being able to grab a few minutes of sleep and when the sleep is sweetest, a shrill scream hits your ears. A scream that doesn't stop until you do something about it. I remember those days with a shudder. I dont know how we survived. I would go to work and do my duties like a zombie with bags under my eyes, ready to knock out anyone that dares cross me.

Na so I will change diaper, feed baby, rock her to sleep and sing strange songs which I formed at the moment. I would also go on youtube to play lullaby songs for her but the cry does't stop. Oh boy, my wife and I almost ran mad. grin grin grin grin

But about 3 months she started getting like 6 hours sleep with a few lapses occasionally. It was like heaven. I almost forgot what it was like to get 3 hours sleep. Now I thank God for my mother-in-law who helps us out these days. God bless her.

I couldn't leave my wife to care for the baby alone. It is a very cruel thing to do. It is both of your kid. Share the responsibility.

And yes, I am a male wink

God bless u my dear!!! May your daughter find a man like u in the future. Your mama born and train you well!!!!! Take thiskisskisskiss
