And besides there's a certain standard expected in such situations. You have a lot of VIPs in attendance.
!!! ragdollz: !!! ![]() |
african1:Awww! Quite the opposite in Nigeria. The mother is the 'drama queen', the hard nut. In most cases, you'd have to 'suck up to her' to gain her approval (especially the boy's mother). The dad may be strict at first but with time, he will relax. But the mother, you most likely can never get it right with her. ![]() |

Hey Venus, Got this for you How to make Spring roll[flash=500,400] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhjeIfMGBCo[/flash] Cone biscuit You will need a non-stick cookie sheet and a cone-shaped mold (available a bakery supply stores) to make these cones. If they end up with a hole in the bottom, plug the hole with a mini-marshmallow. 3/4 cup sugar 1 large egg 2 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/4 cup milk 1/2 bup all-purpose flour, sifted Preheat oven to 300 F. In medium mxing bowl, beat the sugar into the egg until it is thickened and pale yellow. .Beat in the butter, vanilla, and milk. Gently stir in the flour. Grease a large non-stick cookie sheet and spread 1.5 tablespoons of the batter into a 6 inch circle using a thin, flexible spatula. Bake for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove each cookie from the sheet and wrap around a cone shaped mold, sealing the point. The cookies harden as they cool so work as quickly as you can. . |
@redsun where I stay the people are just too wicked no one comes out to clean the environment not even on sanitation days we are just the only ones who do it and its so difficult, the worse thing is that after cleaning the environment this people come back to litter the place and half of the refuse is this sachet water its so fraustrating.
Exactly! It's not about only where you stay, it's like that 'everywhere'. It's a common observation that people tend to take better care of their properties than those of the public, unless they are compelled to. redsun:We aren't talking about cleaning our individual houses. If I clean my house and you clean yours and Natasha cleans hers, who will clean the street? What is to say, without an authority to impel us, all or one of us wouldn't be reluctant to join in general cleaning? Or do we all clean our various houses and leave the streets littered? |
Banning sachet water is not the best antidote to unclean enviroment. The roads in Nigeria aren't littered only with sachets of 'pure water'. There are candy wraps, cellophane, paper, cigarette butts, etcetera. Do these things get banned too? There should be recycling bins on every corner of the road and the public should be educated to either take their litter home or use the recycling bin. This will help in keeping the environment clean. Thorough street cleaning should be ensured for extended hours more regularly ( When I was in Naija it's used to be once in a month or 2, and it wasn't even properly supervised. Don't know if they still do it) . |
Hmm. . . . Wrote a thesis on this few months ago. redsun:Consumers should demand mandatory labelling. redsun:They most likely are eating it already and I think only a minute percentage know about GMF/O If I'm not wrong, there are no proven disadvantages of it on human health, yet. I'd say people should stay off it until it's proven that GMF/O is or isn't harmful to human health. |
