ifyalways:Dem go lick the owo soup, right? ![]() The last time I was in naija, 1 tiny tuber of yam= #250 |
Ronkebp, here- Ingredients for Banga Soup • Palm Fruits – 1 kg • Beef • Dry Fish • Vegetable – Scent Leaves • Onions – 2 medium bulbs • Crayfish – A handful | 2 tablespoons of ground Crayfish • Salt and Chilli Pepper – to taste • Seasoning – 3 Maggi / Knorr cubes Before you cook the Nigerian Banga Soup 1. Wash and cook the palm fruits till done. A good sign that the palm fruit is done is that you will notice cracks on the flesh of the fruits. The palm fruit is also soft to the bite. 2. Pound the palm fruits in a mortar with a pestle till all the flesh are separated from the nut to form a smooth pulp as shown in the photo. 3. Cook the beef and the dry fish with 1 bulb of diced onion and the 3 Maggi / Knorr cubes till done. 4. While you have the beef cooking, extract the palm fruit oil from the palm fruit pulp by washing it in warm water. Small quantities of the palm fruit pulp should be washed in as small quantity of warm water as possible. If the palm fruit oil starts getting too thick, pour the liquid into another container through a sieve to prevent the palm fruit fibres from entering into the oil that will be used in cooking the Banga Soup. Repeat this till all the palm fruit pulp has been washed. A more efficient extraction process can be achieved by separating the palm nuts from the pulp before washing the pulp in warm water. During the extraction process, if you think that there is still some oil on previously washed palm fruit pulp; re-wash these when you change the water before washing new palm fruit pulp. Water should be used sparingly during the extraction process so that at the end, the extracted liquid will have the consistency of evaporated milk or tomato juice bearing in mind that you still have to add the beef stock. 5. Leave the extracted palm fruit oil to stand for some time then slowly pour this into the pot that will be used to cook the Banga Soup / Stew, taking care not to pour the tiny pieces of fibre that have settled at the bottom. 6. Wash and cut the scent leaves into tiny pieces. The scent leaves are what gives the Banga Soup its unique aroma and taste. If you are outside Nigeria, this may be hard to find, so you can use pumpkin leaves or any other vegetable in place of scent leaves. 7. Cut the remaining bulb of onion, grind the crayfish and pepper and set aside. Cooking Directions 1. Set the pot of palm fruit oil on the stove and start cooking at high heat. Leave to boil till you notice come clear oil at the surface of the Banga Stew. If you think that the Banga Soup is watery, cook till the soup has thickened to the consistency you like for your stews. 2. Now, add the beef, dry fish and stock, the onions, crayfish and pepper and cook for 5 minutes. 3. Add the scent leaves and salt to taste. Leave to cook for 2 mins. The Banga Soup is done. Serve with White Rice or use the Banga Soup to eat Garri, Semolina, Amala or Pounded Yam. Ogugua88 |
An old man takes a little girl who was brought up in a society where children are told The Adults are always right, that they must always do what ever an adult tells you, that a child never argues with an adult, to a hotel and R. A .P.E.D her and you have the audacity to blame her because she did as she was told. She didn't scream, so there's a possibility that the sexxxx wasn't "contrary to her desires". My God woman, did you even read what you wrote?!! You expect an 8 years old child to have a thought process that has failed women 3 times her age in that kind of situation. Are you for real?!!! ![]() The Adults in that little girls life have already failed her but at least she will never know that "adults" online think she's to blame. . .thank God for small mercies, eh?
If in your early days, you didn't have a confidant in whoever brought you up, that's not only unfortunate, but also your loss. However, endeavour not to assume the same of others. Thank you! At 8, before what the society at large dictates, what parents/guardians say is first and paramount. I earlier said, and I'll repeat - just in case you have reading and/or comprehension probs (which is very likely the case)- If a kid cannot confide in his/her parents or guardian, there's a problem. If the threats of a stranger (assuming she was threatened) could stop her from bringing the issue to her aunt's knowledge, and if the aunt couldn't notice the kid was unhappy/disturbed for a period of time, then there's a problem with that aunt. The average 8-year-old cannot perfectly fake happiness when something is actually wrong. There must have been signs neglected by the aunt. This is where her fault lies. As for the kid. . . . . There was a first time, she was too scared to tell aunt. There was a second time, she was too scared to tell aunt. (Assuming on these 2 accounts, the old he-goat bumped into her at the said primary school and pounced on her like a concupiscent dog would another dog), The third time, did he also bump into her at the hotel? Isn't she supposed to tell aunt before leaving the house? Did she tell her? Why didn't she tell aunt about the old man? Or she didn't know what the old man was doing is wrong? You think 8-year-olds are that dumb? I'm beginning to wonder what kinda kids you have around you, or were, in your days. Let an 8-year-old child catch you stealing her mother's pot of soup, simply ask her not to tell her mum, without buying her over with whatever she fancies/perfectly brainwashing her, and find out if she will actually keep quiet when her mum begins to look for her pot of soup. Even ask her to bring the pot of soup to your house another day and see if she will bring it. The old man brainwashed her, and as a kid, she fell for it without knowing she was being used. Nonetheless, she's got some answering to do. Point is - the old man is the devil, Yes. But, others (unknowingly) helped him accomplish his evil deed. Is she the only kid in that zone? Why her? Look, you had better have something worth reading and replying to, to offer, if you intend to reply this post because seriously, if you produce another knee-jerk gibberish, you'll be addressing the cyber walls. |
I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'll give recipe later, when I'm less busy. ![]() |
OMFG!! Did I just read that?!! Are people really blaming an 8 yrs old girl for getting violated?!!
Violated? How did she get to the hotel room? ![]() If the police hadn't intervened, there would have been a 4th, 5th, 6th, . . . . nth time, and she wouldn't have told her aunt, right? After reading this report, good guess is, he must have lured her there, with whatever goodie. Frankly, she had no business being there. No business, ma'am.
What next. . .there was no sign of a struggle? She wasn't crying loud enough? Oh! Oh! How about she seduced him by giving him the come hither look? She is 8 yrs old. . .not 18, in case some people didn't get that part. 8 Fcccking years old!! Seriously, How warped is your mind that you can't see that a intimate relationship between a 70yrs old man and 8yrs can be nothing but despoil? Speaking of warped, it is amazing that the only thing some people can focus on is the tribe of the perpetrator. . .a little girl is abused by a man old enough to be her great grand father, as long as he's not our tribesman we cool with that! Yep, it's all going to hell in a handbasket
Sadly, your attempt at sarcasm fell blatantly flat on its face, sorry. If you are capable of inditing a circumspect opinion, not one based solely on emotions, bring it up for discussion and/or rebuttal. Otherwise, step aside, instead of distorting my post, in an attempt to appear funny, to suit your unsolicited vapid humor skills. That said, I believe I made clear enough, in my first and second post, that the act is simply cringe-worthy, and the old cargo should be punished accordingly. However, the aunt and kid have some questions to answer. |
Goldenheart:Reh reh reh! If she was actually too scared to tell her aunt, then, the aunt has definitely not done her homework well. Guardians/Parents are supposed to be a figure of protection, security to their kids. It's not too difficult to discern a kid going through an unpleasant period, if you're an attentive parent or guardian. If this kid was really disturbed about the experience, or forced, contrary to her desire, she couldn't have appeared normal after the first experience. Wasn't she hurt? The aunt must be/have been very inattentive. |
Parents, take proper care of your kids. Shouldn't the kid have told her aunt, after the first time the pedophile >>>>ed her - assuming the act was contrary to her desire- ? She even followed him to a hotel room, after 2 times of being taken advantage of, and was heard talking about her aunt looking for her, not screaming for help. Judging from this report, aside castrating the old cow, the little girl should be given some spanks on the rump too. |
This kain question sef! You feel guilty even before answering. ![]() Well, I have a preference for dark-skinned (caramel to chocolate) men. There are slim odds an albino will catch my fancy, but should he, i wouldn't turn him down because of his pigmentation. |

Bread and akara Garri and akara Eba I'm not sure there's any Nigerian who has never had, seen or heard of these combos. https://img522.imageshack.us/img522/4334/72630n51169959129160195ba2.jpg https://www.healthdirect.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/bread-white-loaf.jpg https://naijamaican.co.uk/images/P4060059.JPG |
I'm not a tomato fan . . .So I very much doubt I'd like it. Bread with mayonnaise always. |
She looks great. |
Lol! ''No wonder you're like this'' . . I've been told this several times, and it's usually in reference to my physique. Beans and snail are high in protein and very yummy, if prepared well. It will do you no harm to consume them sometimes. |
