I was waiting for someone to mention this. Thank God you finally did. This is the most overlooked factor alot of people don't consider. Family background is a very important consideration before marriage. If you can, please aim for a lady/man from a comfortable family not a struggling family with so many needy siblings, parents who you can't get any reasonable help from or worst they'll be the ones depending on you for financial assistance. That's a liability you don't wanna have in ur marriage even if you are financially ok.

Hello guys pls I need suggestions. I'm currently in Australia studying for my master's degree (on student visa). I got a positive assessment outcome from vettasses for my nominated occupation (Valuer) after I assessed with my Naija B.Sc.(in Estate management). I'm 30yrs old.

The thing now is, I don't know if I should go ahead with the process of applying for any of the 190/189/491 visas or should I wait and finish up my studies (I hv a yr to finish) so I can get the 2yrs study-in-Australia point. Since I've got no points to claim for work experience. Based on my total point estimate, I stand at 65.

Yes, Wakanow at their office inside the airport. The plan was actually to buy directly from Egypt Air office at the airport, but they said they don't sell tickets there. They directed me to wakanow and maybe if I can go to their VI office. I paid exactly N476,400.

Yes they do accept one way ticket. I just booked 2 days ago for 7th July one way ticket to Sydney costing about N470k.

Hey Guys,

I applied for my visa on the 17th of may. i have done my biometrics and medicals.
the status changed from initial assessment to "Further Assessment" on the 6th of June and it hasnt changed since.

I already missed my orientation but I mailed them and they scheduled late orientation for the 4th of July 2018.

My course start date is on the 25th of June, i dont want to defer and I AM FREAKING OUT!!!!

I think your application is still within the estimated processing time. But, you can still send a mail to the VO to let them know your course date is very close and that you have gotten a late orientation date from your school. Maybe, just maybe they'll consider you and speed up ur application processing.

But I really think you should be a little more patient. Mine was stuck on "Initial Assessment" for like 2 months. It was finalized a day after it showed "Further Assessment"

Check again for Turkish airline,go to the website..I think one way ticket to Sydney for 5th is around 1342 USD..I believe this helps..

But that Turkish airline is a no-no for me, based on what I've read here abt other people's experience with them. And doing Lagos-Istanbul-Bangkok-Syd doesn't look nice at all.

I didn't get any mail from the university after Visa application. The last mail I got from the university was after I made payments for acceptance fee. And recently, they sent a mail for me to enroll for a certain "online school preparation course" which I've completed sha.

How far with ur visa application?. Mine is still on "Further Assessment" o... I believing God for a good news this week.

Okay. But I already sent a mail sha and I got an automated mail response acknowledging that they have received my mail alongside some other generic visa informations. But I haven't gotten a direct response to my enquiry yet.

I understand bro. Please you don't have to be depressed. Forget about what your mates are doing or where they are now. Just focus on running your own race, it's not how long but how well. I'm very sure visa will show and we'll fly together.

Bydway I also did Ond(Estate mgt - 2010) before I went for Bsc graduated in 2015...now I wan go for masters.

That's wrong. Both of you(you and ur agent) should have access to ur application on the portal.

On the portal, just below my name and DOB it's showing "Initial assessment". While Health is showing "submitted"

Yes, send a mail to them be brief in the mail. the subject of mail should be VISA APPLICATION STATUS, include these details your full name and passport number (and VLN if applicable), type of visa application, and date and method of lodgement. Failure to include these details will result in a delay in responding to your query. if possible include your Health declarations reference number, File number.

Today makes it 48 days since I applied for a student visa, No contact from the CO, no additional document requested, nothing nothing... dem just bone face �

Application status still showing "Initial processing". The estimated processing time stated on the portal as at when I applied (April) was 26-42days which later changed to 40 - 50days. Friday will make it 50days of waiting.

And school orientation date is 20th July, WSU.

Do I need to contact them now or just chill a little more before sending a mail or calling them. Advice please.

Hello bro...I will be going to Western Sydney July to study Master's in Planning. Tho I am still at visa application stage, did my medicals yesterday 9th april and hoping to lodge and do biometric before this friday13th april. Only thing holding me now is Employment letter, the HR people in my office are just wasting my time in giving me the letter.
