AZeD1: When you submitted your biometrics to the telecommunications company and embassies, did you also submit your financial details?
I am very sure you have not registered for the national ID card. Because if you have, you would have known that there is no place in the registration form where your Bank/Financial details will be required. Nobody will ask you to provide your bank/Financial detail during registration. It seems a lot of people just argue based on assumption and not fact.

People really need to chill and stop panicking, there is no way MasterCard will get your "biometric information" because the chip on the card is like a memory card dat stores nothing but ur individual data. Mastercard integration is like having an Open SSL which doesn't require mandatory usage thereby allowing ur freedom of expression. Again: Mastercard is only incorporated just like u having ur computer and installing software, d developer of d software can't access ur laptop unless u approve of it
in d setting this is d layman's explanation of

OrlandoOwoh: PDP is in a desperate move to take over Lagos State in 2015. They did it in Osun. From a day to when Jonathan came to campaign for Omisore in Oshogbo, major towns in the state started having uninterrupted power supply. In Ile-Ife, the hometown of Omisore, in particular, a new sub-station was built.

I noticed that there have been an "unusual" stability in electricity in my area in Shomolu and Gbagada area of Lagos for like one month now. A lot of my colleagues in the office have also observed the same thing in the various areas where they live.
I have not used my generator for once this month(August). Everybody in my area is now suspecting NEPA(phcn), because we know they must have ulterior motive for giving us "light" like this.

If you live in Lagos please let's know if your area is also experiencing the same thing or are we alone on this?.

PoliticsLevick Speaks: Says It Was Hired By FG To Find Chibok Girls, Fight Terrorism. by Misterpaul(op): 7:17pm On Jul 19, 2014
Levick is being criticised by Nigerians on
micro-blogging site, twitter.
———————————-
Following Thursday’s social media campaign
launched by Nigerians against it, Levick, the
Washington-based public relations and
lobby firm, has denied it was hired to whitewash
the image of the president as regards the kidnap
of the Chibok school girls.
Levick, accused by critics of being hired to
change the narrative of Nigerian
government’s inept handling of the kidnap, said
its job is to help the government to, among
others, fight terrorism.
The PR firm told PREMIUM TIMES its mission is to
help the government rescue the girls and fight
terrorism.
Levick, however, did not explain how a PR firm,
which essentially specialises in communication,
has the capacity to help the government rescue
the girls.
It also did not explain why after almost after
three weeks of being hired, terrorist attacks,
rather than reduce, has intensified. In fact,
Friday morning, another attack occurred in
Damboa, a community that is a stone’s throw
from Chibok where the girls were kidnapped.
The attacks have continued despite the state of
emergency declared on Borno, Yobe, and
Adamawa since May last year.
In an email to this newspaper after an earlier
telephone conversation, the Vice President of
Levick, Philip Elwood, described his firm’s
mission in the paragraph below.
“As the world witnesses the brutality of Boko
Haram, and its cowardly tactics of using children
as pawns in their terrorist campaign, LEVICK’s
only mission is assisting the Government of
Nigeria with its number one priority — the
rescue of the girls and combating terrorism,”
Mr. Elwood said in his email.
This is after LEVICK itself admitted to the Hill, an
American newspaper specialising in covering
parliament, that part of its strategy is to
“amplify” what the president is saying and doing
to find the girls.
“There’s got to be a way to amplify what he’s
saying and doing to find these girls because over
here in America, we’re not hearing much
about his effort,” Lanny Davis, an Executive Vice
President at Levick, had said.
The social media campaign, started after a
statement was sent out to media organisations
by the President’s Senior Special Assistant
on Public Affairs, Doyin Okupe.
Since Levick was contracted to handle the
communication strategies as regards the kidnap
of the girls and terrorism, the statement was
believed to have been written by LEVICK or
absolutely, with its approval.
Mr. Okupe’s statement attacked the
#BringBackOurGirls campaigners and blamed
them for the refusal of parents of the abducted
girls to meet with the president on Tuesday.
“Unfortunately, political forces within the
Nigerian chapter of Bring Back Our Girls have
decided to take this opportunity to play
politics with the situation and the grief of the
parents and the girls,” the statement said. “They
should be ashamed of their actions.”
The statement also referred to the campaigners
as engaging in “psychological terrorism.”
In a telephone conversation with this reporter
before he sent the email, Mr Elwood denied that
his firm was not hired to whitewash the image of
the Nigerian government adding that it accepted
the job to help the government combat Boko
Haram.
He was however non-committal on whether or
not the firm wrote the statement Mr. Okupe
distributed.
“You used the term whitewashed. That’s not
what we were hired to do,” he said. “We were
hired to communicate what the government is
doing to find the girl, combat Boko Haram.
That’s it.”
When asked to comment on what observers
consider government’s lethargy at the onset of
the abduction, Mr. Elwood said Levick
couldn’t comment on that.
The #someoneTellLevick hashtag trended in
Nigeria on Thursday generating over 3,600
tweets, according to social media analytics site,
Topsy.
Nigeria’s social media users accused Levick of
despising and intimidating Nigerians regarding
the over 250 girls kidnapped by members of the
Boko Haram sect.
Three months after the girls were kidnapped;
about 217 of them are still believed to be with
the Boko Haram.

RomanceAre U Lonely?..here Are 4 Signs That Shows That U Need A Love Affair And Sex. by Misterpaul(op): 9:34pm On Jul 15, 2014
We all need someone to create special moments with because the success attained are worth nothing with no one to share them with.

Everyone, even the most independent of humans, need human companionship - a special someone to share some special moments with.

You may be a busy man or woman, chasing the Naira bills from airport terminal to sea port to train station. Still, at some point, you'll slow down and feel the need for a companion.

Sometimes we do not know that we need that one person, until depression has eaten a deep hole inside.

So here are 4 signs to know that you need someone to rub hearts with.

1.YOU FEEL PRETTY EMPTY WHEN YOU'RE NOT WORKING. Work is your refuge. So when work is over, you feel like you're going into dungeon. That is the biggest sign to tell you that you need a friend. You can no longer satisfy yourself.

2. YOU WATCH TOO MUCH PORN, EVEN AT WORK. Hmm, a lot of 'busy' people are in this category. Because they have no one to satisfy their sexual needs, porn is the easy way out. When porn stops being a curiosity and starts being a necessity, you should think of getting a partner.

3. YOU HAVE BECOME REGULAR 'MASTURBATOR' AND YOU FEEL UNDER PRESSURE TO MASTURBATE EVEN OUTSIDE YOUR HOME. You are really in trouble when you get to this stage. In most cases, this masturbation only gives you very transient satisfaction and even annoys you after you achieve the self-induced 'orgasm'. Very bad! The possibility of you committing a sex crime (especially the guys) is high. Please get a partner!

4. YOU FIND YOURSELF LOOKING AT EVERY MAN OR WOMAN YOU SEE SEXUALLY. That is, you imagine sex with every man or woman you meet. You really to go out there fast and get your heart connected to someone before you commit a crime or your are slapped for over-looking.

It is better you go out there, yes right now, and give your heart out to someone that can give you emotional and physical satisfaction, paid or free.

"IT IS BETTER TO LOVE AND LOSE THAN TO NEVER LOVE AT ALL!"

Nairaland GeneralUndergraduate Murders Father (a S A N) ,cuts His Body To Pieces. by Misterpaul(op): 10:05pm On Jul 06, 2014
A 21-year old university undergraduate, Tolani
Ajayi, has killed his father, chopped the body to
pieces, before dumping the remains in a bush near
their home in Ogun State, the police said.
The suspect has since been arrested by the Ogun
State Police Command.
A witness told PREMIUM TIMES that the attack
occurred Tuesday after an argument between Tolani
and his father, Charles Ajayi, a Senior Advocate of
Nigeria, SAN. The late lawyer had reportedly
questioned his son over his attitude and refusal to
follow Biblical teachings.
The suspect, a 300-level student of the Department
of History and International Relations at Redeemer
University, RCCG Camp, Ogun State, became
infuriated when his father slapped him.
Tolani retaliated by stabbing his father with a knife.
He then hacked the body to pieces, packed the
mutilated corpse in a box and dumped it in a nearby
bush.
The Ogun State Police Command Public Relations
Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident
which he said occurred at the Redemption Camp
along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.
“The shattered body of Barrister Charles Ajayi, 60, a
Senior Advocate of Nigeria, was seen and recovered
in a nearby bush at Canaanland Street in the RCCG
Camp, in a box after he had been killed by his son,”
Mr. Adejobi said.
He said Tolani, the suspect, was arrested at his
father’s home after the corpse was discovered.
Mr. Adejobi told PREMIUM TIMES that the Divisional
Police Officer of Redemption Camp, Olaiya Martins,
had led a team of detectives and some members of
the community to where the body was found. The
community members had earlier noticed the
strange attitude of the suspect while he dumped the
box.
Following the drag marks made by the box, police
officers traced the suspect to his home.
Mr. Adejobi said upon interrogation, the suspect lied
that his father had gone on evangelism. He later
confessed to the crime, Mr. Adejobi said.
He said the exhibits, including the knife and cutlass
the suspect used in the attack, were recovered by
the police while the corpse had been deposited at a
morgue in Sagamu.
Mr. Adejobi said the Commissioner of Police,
Ikemefuna Okoye, had sent a team of detectives,
led by the officer in charge of the Homicide section
of the Department of Criminal Investigation,
Eleweran Abeokuta, to assess the situation and take
over the matter for further investigation and
necessary action.
The commissioner also sympathised with the family
of the deceased.

EducationRe: Most Preferred Courses In Nigerian Universities by Misterpaul(m): 2:27pm On Jul 06, 2014
Students who rush to choose those courses are are usually those who don't really know the reality of things in the Nigeria or students who just finished secondary school.
Their are many great courses which people seldom choose thereby making those courses less competitive both in gaining admission and in the labour market to the advantage of the few that choose or studied those courses.
Why is a very good course like Real Estate Management/Valuation not be a competitive course, considering the numerous prospect in the real estate sector of Nigeria?..The reason is simple, naija people too like follow follow. I remember before, Accounting used to be a very competitive course. But now people done see say the labour market has been over-saturated with accounting graduates and u don't really need to study accounting in school for u to be an accountant, now accounting is no more as competitive as it used to be.

This is a pure case of forgery. Although, I don't think the CAC have much case to answer since its not really there duty to investigate the authenticity of documents filed to them. The Commission must have assumed that the consent form signed by the sole surviving director of the company Mrs Éketiti and the secretary Mr. Anthony constitutes sufficient consent for them to have accepted the list of the new directors.

PoliticsI Will Never Contest Election Again – Peter Obi by Misterpaul(op): 7:26pm On Jun 29, 2014
Mr. Peter Obi, the immediate past governor of Anambra State says he is standing by his decision never to run for an elective office again in Nigeria, rubishing rumours he plans running for Senate come 2015.

The soft-spoken man, who spoke with reporters at Ochuche in Ogbaru local government area of the state where he joined his former commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Mr. Dubem Obaze at the weekend as he received a chieftaincy title from all traditional rulers in Anambra North senatorial zone, said his decision remains, but however said he is prepared to serve Nigeria in any capacity.

Obi’s arrival at the venue of the ceremony was greeted with jubilation by the audience.

“I started telling people during my second tenure in office as governor that I will not aspire for any elective position in the country, but some people thought I was joking,” Obi said.

“Some have even been speculating that I will be contesting for senate for Anambra Central in 2015 or for another elective position at the national level and I want to say here that I have no such ambition.

“However, I am prepared to make myself available for the service of my country in non-elective position.

“I believe that after serving as governor for eight years, I should allow other people go for political offices meant for the state. There is therefore no truth in the rumour that I want to contest for senate next year.”

Obi however said he would remain in All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, no matter the nature of assignment he is carrying out for the nation, adding that deliberate efforts would continue to ensure that the party becomes stronger in the country.

Health5 Ways To Lower Blood Pressure Without Medication. by Misterpaul(op): 8:35am On Jun 29, 2014
High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, is a condition wherein a persons blood pressure is above 140/90. With elevated blood pressure, it puts a lot of strain on a persons heart, blood vessels, and other associated organs, making a person prone to conditions such as heart attacks, aneurysms, and strokes. While blood pressure can be managed by medication, its a risky proposition by itself due to potential side effects. Fortunately, there are a lot of ways to manage blood pressure without resorting to medications. Here are 5 of the best examples.

1. Breathe properly
While this may seem too simple, proper breathing techniques do bring positive effects to your blood pressure. By taking slow, controlled breaths, you reduce the production of particular stress hormones that trigger the production of renin. Produced by the liver, renin is an enzyme produced by the kidney that raises blood pressure. When youre feeling stressed, take a break and have a few deep breaths. Not only does this reduce your blood pressure, but it also produces a much-needed calming effect.

2. Have some sunlight
Having some time under the sun can be especially helpful for a hypertensive person. This is because being exposed to sunlight triggers the production of nitric oxide. When present in the bloodstream, it causes the relaxation of blood vessels, causing blood to flow more freely and reducing blood pressure in the process. With enough sunlight, it can reduce ones risk of a heart attack. Of course, dont go out in high heat, as the extreme temperatures actually increase your blood pressure.

3. Have a walk
It is recommended that you get at least 30 minutes of aerobic physical activity to prevent the development of cardiovascular problems. Not everyone has the time to go to the gym. The best way to work around these limitations is to take walks. Regular walking for at least 30 minutes daily can reduce your blood pressure readings by at least 10 points. Find ways to integrate walking and cardio exercises in your daily routine. Your body will thank you for it.

4. Drink tea
Tea is one of the worlds most favorite drinks and for good reason. One of the most compelling reasons is its health-giving abilities. It has been recently discovered that regular tea consumption is directly linked to the reduction of blood pressure and heart rate. Probable mechanisms for this unique ability include teas ability to relax the senses and its superior antioxidant content. It is recommended that you drink 1 to 4 cups of tea daily.

5. Listen to music
A lot of people use music as a means to chill out, self-entertain, and psyche up. In spite of this, not a lot of people know that listening to music actually reduces blood pressure too. A study published in the Netherland Heart Journal states that those who regularly play or listen to music have lower blood pressure than those who dont. The main reason behind these results is that the somatosensory region of the brain is stimulated, leading to improved autonomic nervous system function.

Managing blood pressure through natural means is a great way to get your health back in order with the least side effects possible

HealthHabits That Damage The Human Brain by Misterpaul(op): 9:16pm On Jan 09, 2014
BRAIN DAMAGING HABITS

1. No Breakfast.

People who do not take breakfast
are going to have a lower blood
sugar level.
This leads to an insufficient
supply of nutrients to the brain
causing brain degeneration.

2 . Over eating.

It causes hardening of the brain
arteries, leading to a decrease in
mental power.
3. Smoking
It causes multiple brain shrinkage
and may lead to Alzheimer
disease.

4. High Sugar consumption

Too much sugar will interrupt the
absorption of proteins and
nutrients causing
malnutrition and may interfere
with brain development.

5. Air Pollution

The brain is the largest oxygen
consumer in our 20 body.
Inhaling polluted air
decreases the supply of oxygen to
the brain, bringing about a
decrease in brain
efficiency.

6 . Sleep Deprivation

Sleep allows our brain to rest..
Long term deprivation from sleep
will accelerate
the death of brain cells..

7. Head covered while sleeping

Sleeping with the head covered
increases the concentration of
carbon dioxide
and decrease concentration of
oxygen that may lead to brain
damaging effects.

8. Working your brain during
illness.

Working hard or studying with
sickness may lead to a decrease in
effectiveness
of
the brain as well as damage the
brain.

9. Lacking in stimulating thoughts

Thinking is the best way to train
our brain, lacking in brain
stimulation thoughts
may cause brain shrinkage.
10. Talking Rarely
Intellectual conversations will
promote the efficiency of the
brain.
