On getting to L& ward, I saw some heavily pregnant women who were obviously in labor. Some seems to be "dancing" while some were just squatting, they were allowed to seek relief in whatever position they deem fit. Imm I saw them, I realized that d hustle is really real and began to cry! I started insisting that nothing is wrong with me, lemme just go home and rest (after all my anxiety about meeting my baby, I realised I wasn't ready at all). .......wen it was my turn to go in, I allowed d lady after me in but later I remain d only one left and couldn't dodge it anymore so I went in like chick badly beaten by an heavy rain d doc there was nice enough not to check me wit fingers, he asked me to lay down and used some tools to check then he told me it was contractions and that I have to hold baby back for a few more weeks cos I'm only 35weeks now......to dis effect, I was given salbutamol, klifedupine and paracetamol! I felt so relieved when I left d hospital for reasons best known to me sha maybe I should go and open diary sef



I no wan laugh abeg, it wasn't doing you, when its the real real real deal, fear will disappear, infact you go carry the doctor hand chuck for dia make e check( according to my neighbour)

For the past 2 nights, diarhhea plus serious backpain that stops around 11. My CS date is closeby but i hope say i no go born for house .... can't wait ohhhh, i cannot wait. #teamjan reporting for duty.

good evening wonderful mama's.... I'm team Jan but ported to Dec. I went for antenatal on 14th Dec and the doc I met gave me wrong diagnosis after examine me that my baby was traverse that I should come for elective Cs on the 22nd I asked for 25th but he refused.i left the hospital with anger and went to do scan and it showed that my baby was head down.
when I got home, my hubby who was at work, my mum and brother encouraged me to go for elective on the 22nd. I agreed and went for it. the operation went well but my baby came out with cord round his neck 3times and with a knot the 4th time at 38weeks.he didn't cry but was resuscitated.he weighed 3.0kg as against my desires 4.5...lol.through it all I thank God for saving me and son and for a supportive family that he gave me because if they didn't encourage me to go for the elective, my wouldn't have made it till January. for all mothers remaining,God will do same for you.

BA- baby came via induced VD yesterday at 37weeks 3days.
Developed high BP at 36weeks and doctor was afraid of Preeclampsia and seizure. Also had gestational diabetes so I was finally induced and baby came out weighing 2.9kg.was also given magnesium sulphate infusion to avoid any eclampsia... I rather experience painful Induced VD than have devil take away my bundle of joy.

Babay came out very healthy only that His glucose level was low and was given fomula, monitored every 3 hours for 24hours and everything came back to normal..no jaundice too..we just got discharged.

Team Jan ported to Decemeber.

Cappo PatKing tanks for ur care oo. So far we are good, we've taken our first TT injection, hubby has forbidden me posting our bump so we can't participate In Tues bump, my doc said candida is a normal infection for preg but wrote a cream and sumtin to insert but dh is against inserting anytin oo since she said is normal to avoid story's DAT touch.
April mamas hw is d ministry

Better go and insert whatever you were given to treat the infection. I am sure normal meant it is usual for pregnant women and not that it is "normal" no risk involved.. listen to your doc to avoid stories that will actually touch.

Pls mas, I get little question o! Since I enter dis 3rd trimester, I've been feeling very weak and obviously na correct rest I need which I hardly get although I go to work only 3days per week but my workload no be small. Infact I take office work home at times

Now I have 6weeks leave dis year which won't roll over till next year but as a January mama who is due for 27th, there is some possibility of porting to early February. I don't know if I should just take my 6weeks leave now, resume January and prepare for maternity leave afterwards or I forfeit d leave for d year and focus mainly on maternity leave which is till next year............If I start my leave now, won't it affect my agility for d next few weeks of pregnancy? Yet, I need some rest.
Pls mamas, I'm so confuse on what to decide on

P.S....no leave request will be granted for December, expect I start now and end it in December

My boss will like a hard worker like you , agility ke? Listen to your body, if you need rest, pls take your leave... i have been working from home since like my 2nd month of pregnancy because of distance to work... if you could rollover and add it to your maternity leave sef, one would say just thrive on till next year but since you can't, pls take it and rest.

Mamas, help I've not been getting strong kicks for some days now. Just brisk movements. Whenever i sit i get thugs up my tummy towards my ribs like when someone is pushing you nd saying oh shift na. Is it normal @ 31weeks? Sometimes i feel the place is no longer big enuf to swim nd tumble as before dunno sha

Hello Cappo, some days are slow, when i have this kind of feeling like movement is slow, i drink a glass of cold water or yoghurt and lie on my left, the kicks come and i get reassured. Try that.

mamas, i have had serious problem shaving down there because of my growing Tummy and back ache,i can hardly bend. I use veet hair removal but i can hardly see what in applying and mirror hasn't helped me much. i don't like keeping a bushy below and im sure hubby wont really be cool with it too.

I spoke to my friend about it and she said her hubby does the shaving whenever she's pregnant and sometimes when he wants to indulge her. in her words" after all,its his workshop so he's always welcome there to do whatever he likes."
It sounds somehow to me asking hubby to shave me,dunno how he'll react sha if i tell him but its kinda funny.

so my question is,how do you mamas shave with ur bulging tummy and whats your take about hubby doing the shaving. Pls share your opinion. Thank u in advance.

When i am pregnant, hubby does the shaving, only problem is after the shaving he will be doing like dog wey dem dey dangle bone for em front he must collect reward ... doesn't sound somehow to ask for help, who else can you ask if you don't ask him?

Onto another matters, mamas and papas, there's always 1 question that keeps popping up concerning hospital reviews, will it be a good idea to maybe say the hospital that we gave birth in and a 1 one line review in our BS or BA so that even in years to come, others can find these reviews useful?

Another question that keeps popping in my head when announcing BA is when we say through VD with no tear or little tear in my head i always roll my eyes like we don't care about your vag, I'm just happy you are fine mate Shebi na only me? Abeg oh make nobody come insult me today oh, i am very fragile with 0 clapbacks.

Petrol that I've been managing since..bought plenty fuel with my own hard earned money last week to fill the generator up on so it can last a while..

On my way out to work this morning (hubby had left the home earlier at 5:30), I just heard the familiar sound of our generator, I was wondering if its ours or our neighbours own, i decided to turn back and check the gen house. Lo and behold, a stupid neighbour of ours at the next flat, removed our gen wire and attached his own wire to our generator and switched it on. I mean, like what effontery is that.

I was so pissed and switched it off, and waited maybe he will come out to check. he did come out, looking like a fool, started apologising that his phone battery is dead and just wanted to power it on for some few minutes.. that he thought no one was at home, cos he wanted to ask us for permission. I've never been so angry in a long time..the guy just made me lose my cool. Me that was hot in the midnight and even my battery was low, we did not bother to switch on the gen.

To worsen the case, he was still begging me that he wanted to switch it on back just to power his phone back on. I'm at work just wondering if the idiot has switched it off yet or not..

How can people be so callous?? I'm hoping when i get back home the fuel is exhausted so he will see my red eye..
