My sisters, inorder not for me to get high PB again, I have decided to be carrying my omron portable BP monitor dey follow body every antenatal ....Last month I went for an antenatal, The nurses checked my BP and it read 146/90. My doctor was worried. As soon as i saw the result , headache started...After seeing the doctor, I couldn't even go back to the office, just went home and started praying.

I called DH and he got this Omron portable monitor on his way home.....Lo and behold! I checked my BP and it was 108/65. The whole of that week, I have been carrying it to the office and have been checking at interval and it has always been around 108-112/65-70. I did it everyday for 2 weeks and it never gone above 112.

At my next antenatal, i carried my BP monitor for handbag, Nurses check theirs 147/92, What is wrong Madam ( in Nurses voice). I brought out my BP monitor and told the Nurse that I want to check with mine. it was 110/65. Hospital checked again - 144/90...I checked again - 112/65. ( The one to document for my file became a problem) . They later called matron ( on top my matter) and she checked the recaliberation file and found out that they missed the last calibration appointment, hence the wrong output .

So my advice to everyone is if you get small money, abeg waka go buy your BP monitor ( Omron is a good brand) and carry am dey follow body when you dey go for appointment.

hahahhaha cappo how far.....if your a ftm you may not experience kicks yet till like 20weeks.second do g the position of your placenta is a determinant factor if you will get kicks early or not.thirdly your body size and shape also determines if you with have bump.for me this is my second journey. I started experiencing kicks since 14weeks.its more frequent now.I've done three scans so far.first was at 12weeks to know how many I was carrying cuz I was expecting multiple but it ended up being just one oooo
second was at 17weeks cuz I was curious to know the sex and Oga google told me from 16weeks I can see sex.for where dem no fit determine sex.I registered for Antenatal finally with a private hospital which we are using as our HMO on the 18th week and I was asked to do scan for my folder with them.still my pikin no free show sex.so I'm now waiting patiently for 24weeks to do another scan yo know the sex cuz I've not bought anything yet.

I agree with you, my first pregnancy felt nothing till around 24 weeks. This is my 3rd and kicks are really frequent with a bump like say i carry twins. I tried to check sex too, baby's position at the time didn't allow us. I have 2 girls so i'm hoping its a boy, i would be grateful eitherways though. Happy bumping to you

In my antenatal class they told us that baby's size is determined by parents size ie if you and hubby are huge then LO is likely to be big, and vice versa. Also about lipton they said don't take too much cos your foetus cannot process the nicotine in it and that nicotine affects foetus brains.

Parents size in some cases oh, if you see me and my tiny hubby eh, then see my babies, that theory will fail woefully. With my second, there's nothing i didn't do, she still came 3.9kg. This time, i intend not to stress myself about size at all, da'ama na still CS.

After birth i was given 1 birth notification paper like that, I got the birth certificate from the hospital when i went for my 6 weeks post-natal (both times at GH, asokoro & Island maternity where i had my babies). I can't remember how much i paid but twas less than 500.

Is 7 weeks based on your lmp? Its not unusual because your lmp is not the actual day you conceived/ovulated. As per being in the situation, yes i have and everything is okay. Go back in like 2 weeks for a repeat scan, i'm sure they already told you this, things will be clearer by then, fetal pole them them will be there by God's grace. Goodluck sis.

Mamas, pls I am 9 weeks & 2 days today & started spotting this morning. Went for scan & it says "Gestational sac seen but no fetal pole" & it measured my baby as 6 weeks,1 day. My gynae says it's an impending miscarriage as my pregnancy is not viable. Please mama's what do I do?

Wait for another week or 2 and repeat scan, if there is still no fetal pole and you haven't bled out and there is no general progess, then the gynae will advise you on your options which is either to evacuate, or give your body time to expell out.
I can imagine how hard the wait will be, whatever the outcome just know that as long as there is life, there is hope.
I wish you the best, stay positive.

Thanks for responding. It's Lagos to Abuja which is bout 1 hour so I'm hoping baby stays put. If twasnt important I'll just sit down and respect myself. Doubt the doctor would back date. He's said 36weeks is their final limit. Just wanto know if I package myself very well; if the airline would not start asking unnecessary questions?

I am only 16weeks although my bump take style commot, i flew very recently (yesterday) via Dana, even if the bump looked obviously small, they still asked. They didn't ask for evidence though but i think if you are bigger they would, they seemed strict. Furthermore, anything can happen within the hour e.g i went from a normal day to emergency CS in 45mins, so really anything can happen. For the sake of safety, i would say stay put, weigh the advantages/urgency/importance against the disadvantages/risks. Goodluck

Whoever says pregnancy does not come with its own drama has never been pregnant or around a pregnant lady. Me those days, I used to quareell with the slippers on my feet , remove and fling it away angrily then make up with same slippers and wear it back.

Please o, I have a weird question. Please mamas, can anyone tell me what breastmilk tastes like?
I need answers because, I was messaging my boobies with hot water (mum asked me to do this regularly before baby comes), after which I noticed some white tiny spots on the nips which I felt was breastmilk.

Since I'm gifted with large sized boobies, I kinda pulled my nips into my mouth and sucked on it. (Hubby was not around, and might not even get what I was curious about). I felt some salty taste which I couldn't really place. I did it at another time and felt same taste again.


So I wanted to know, please, does breastmilk have a salty taste? Am I already lactating? I'm just a little above 5 months gone.

I have one story about this breast sucking inducing Labour something. So with my first pregnancy, na so hubby dey suck anyhow 1 night wey we dey do half way as we dey fear to do the whole deed, i woke up with cramps eh, i went to hospital and was told to drink lots of water, rest and gave me pcm, eventually it stopped. As i was gisting my sis she was like ewooooo no allow am suck again oh, so i took a step further i kuku no do the deed again after reading up google like say na exam. Fastforward to 40 weeks, no sign of Labour, my sisters na so i begin do monkey in a shadow style oh, early morning i go begin force hubby to suck breast, i will use vaseline massage taya, nothing!!!!!! ���� after all the breastsucking to induce Labour i ended up with CS. When i didn't need breast sucking to induce me, it did, when i now needed it breast no gree answer me.

Still Preggy mama's, enjoy each moment now o. Nobody tells you anything about the stress of vigilante. In all, we bless God. I have a few questions so mama's if una wake up, make una respond o.

1. Mama's that had CS, how long before your tummy started going down? Did you use a post partum belt/abdominal binder? If so, when after CS did you start using it and what brand(s) did you use? Also did your legs remain swollen after your surgery? How long before my legs no longer feel like tree stumps? Cc @hunniesuzzie and other mama's that had CS.

2. My baby can suck for Africa! I stopped formular feeding two days ago and now my nipples are the most painful. It was so painful this evening that i could not give her to suck. I had to go back on my word and give her formular and now my husband won't talk to me, says why should I give her formular , that i should endure . I have Lasinoh nipple cream and I apply every 2/3 hours but my nipples are still sorest sore. What can I do?

3. I wasnt given any drugs for my baby from the hospital, asides from the few drops they gave her after delivery due to the trauma she encountered. Now my mom, sister and sister-in-laws won't stop pressuring me to buy this vitamins and that vitamins. Please should I buy ? They said Abidet, Baby Vitane, Panda syrup, gripe water etc. Which and which am I supposed to buy? I called my doctor and he said best practices dictates not giving medications to a child unless it's absolutely needed but the people around me dont want to hear, even hubby sef so make una advice me abeg.

about the Tummy, just reduce carbs.... don't sweat it babe, once you are eating less carbs it would go down, breastfeeding helps the tummy too. About giving your baby drugs, i didn't give multivit sef, make sure your baby is feeding well, if there's a fever give pcm, and head to hospital, and vit c for colds as well. Goodluck sis

Its just my personal opinion, apart from the place being overcrowded like a general hospital, I would rather do Gbagada GH and have all the negative experience there. I don't wanna go into details, but we suspected negligence after delivery in one of the cases.

I suggest you check it out. You might like it o, but for me, my leg can't stay there. Personally, I would only recommend Gbagada GH for that axis
