limsycutey:Mrs Olotu - 08033816438. She is in Ajah area. You can let her know you got her contact from Michelle. Maybe she might charge you lesser. |
limsycutey:I know a very very good tailor. She made my bridesmaid dresses but she is a bit expensive. I don't know how your pocket is like. But i can vouch for her |
callola:Yes, it is safe. It has caffeine but a very very low caffeine content, that is safe for consumption. But limit your intake to one a day, just to be safer. Confirm from your doc though, just incase your system should not accomdate it. |
tatacherie:Thanks dear! Is this you?? Wow! It's been ages. How have you been now and how's your princess? |
Dexterush your boys are supercute!!! So so cute! Well done mama |
Favouredmom:It does same work but electric is faster and you dont have to be pressing it up and down. If ure trying to save money, get a good manual pump |

PART 3 Tip 6: Vegetables are a lot better than fruits because of lesser sugar content (Yes, the sugar in fruits are simple natural sugar which contains the type of glucose our bodies need). But it’s better to stay closer to vegetables especially carrots, avocado, spring onions, garden eggs and raw tomatoes (ripe tomatoes washed clean), cucumbers, lettuces and other green vegetables. These are all contained in a typical salad. Eat them in the mornings about two/three hours before your breakfast. We know ripe tomatoes may taste off, but they are great with tummy and general body fat and if you are breastfeeding, they help too. So, for example, you have breakfast at 9am, eat a bowl full of these mix vegetables at 7am every day for as long as possible but at least 4-8 weeks for best results. Tip 7: Cut off Fast-food, Snacks, Suya, Pizza etc. They taste sweet in the mouth but they are not for some people. For a woman who recently had a baby, replace the pounded yam and cow meat pepper-soup with Irish potatoes and fish pepper soup {stock fish, fresh fish or dry fish, any would do}…you would be glad you did. You can also make a start on the long, slow process of getting your tummy muscles back in shape by softly pulling them in whenever you get the chance. If you're not sure how, imagine drawing your tummy in towards your spine. Hold for a few seconds, breathing all the while, and then release. Do this as many times a day as you can fit in. It's also a good idea to hold in your tummy this way when you bend over or lift anything: it will help to support your back and so help to ease or prevent back pain, a common problem after birth. Last bullet... ![]() Don't say 'mitchyy said" o. Be sure your body allows any of these weightloss tips before trying them out, especially for mums who have had a csection. I started using my pp belt at 9weeks because i had not healed properly at the incision area. So know what works best for you and don't just follow what is written above blindly. #Mothersbond |
feddy27:Hehehehe. I was doing most of these before i became preggo. To lose weight effectively, you need to know how much calories you take in and how much calories you burn. Then make sure the calories you burn are slightly more than what you take in. For example, if your breakfast, lunch and dinner plus all the mende mende in between is 3000 calories, make sure you burn above 3000 calories. If you eat 3000 calories and burn 3000 calories, you will remain where you are. If you eat 3000 and burn just 2500, you will not lose the weight you need. But always remember mamas that people's body differ o. If dieting is not for you, biko chop your pounded yam and egusi without feeling guilty. If anyone mocks your weight, chop the person join ![]() Breastfeeding alone helps you burn some calories so you're a bit covered. After i delivered, my mum and mil said i must drink tea or eat something anytime i breastfeed at night else i'll feel dizzy, especially since i'm on exclusive. I decided to watch and see and i felt fine. All i take is water at night while breastfeeding, even though my boy wakes up to suck thrice. But some people's system won't let them. That's why it's best to work according to what your system allows. After 6pm, my largest meal is cucumber and groundut. It fills me well and has very little calories, plus its very delicious and healthy. So it's a win win for me. |
feddy27:True. If you eat far less than you burn, you will definitely faint now ![]() Remember the diet tips is not solely for the first 3 months. It applies to every mother irrespective of how old their baby is. But erm, 3months to get the hang of breastfeeding and latching properly? It shouldn't take up to 3weeks max to be a pro in that now. Lol |
nggie:Just confess that you like food jor ![]() |
feddy27:My dear, its very very possible to diet when breastfeeding. Like i said, i was sharing those info from mothersbond because they are working for me. Eat well during the day. Have your last full meal by 6pm. Stick to veggies and take tea from 6pm if you feel hungry and you'll be fine. I can't be loading eba into my system at night because i'm breastfeeding o. If its too difficult to do, you can skip that tip till ure done breastfeeding and try other tips ![]() |
PART 2 The third tip to deal with postpartum belly and body is the one we would spend most time on. Dieting! We are more of what we eat than anything else. Now we are not referring to an expensive, cut throat, uncomfortable, tasteless diet which most people detest. We are referring to a diet that is healthy, complete and most importantly, actually sits well with you if you are breastfeeding. Combine these dieting tips with your postpartum belt and you'll be amazed at the results. Tip 1: Eat lesser portions of food. If you eat a full plate of food, make it half of that size. Don’t worry that you would feel like you are starving. Within a short time, you would get used to it. You can augment this by eating healthy in between meals. Six small sized healthy meals are better than three heavy meals. Tip 2: Any meal you eat should not make you feel full. This stretches your stomach muscles and gradually, your stomach and entire tummy expands to accommodate that size of food. When this happens, your default stomach size would be big. So try to eat well but not to the point of being full. Tip 3: Don’t eat again after 6pm each day, try to have your last meal by 6pm at most. Late night foods make one fat. If you are hungry, take a cup of hot/warm tea. Not a jar/jug of tea which many of us are used to. A cup will do. Or if possible, more vegetables. The idea is to have vegetables in your body early or late at night because that is when most internal body processes take place i.e. when we are least active. This is the time fat forms and this is the best time to attack them too. What these vegetables do is that they release the essential vitamins and minerals our body need in raw form and so when our body is looking for what to convert into energy, all it would see are these essential vitamins and minerals in their purest forms. So taking them early in the morning before breakfast and late at night after dinner makes them readily available and their content would not be diluted or affected by the other food we take. Tip 4: Cut off unhealthy sugar completely. Especially sugar from minerals, soft drinks and packed juices. They make the stomach to bloat and swell. The damage sugar from these sources do to a woman’s body can’t be quantified. So let’s just not even go there or else we would veer off. Instead, look for other healthy sources of sugar, such as honey. Tip 5: Fatty foods and starchy foods should be at the minimal. Let your diet be mainly fruits, nuts, vegetables, beans and whole grains like wheat, maize etc. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t eat normal everyday meals but as long as you have the capacity to control it, the main content should be these items listed. To be continued... #Mothersbond |
Ijelex:The usual curry, thyme, minced garlic, boullion cubes(maggi or knorr) and chopped onions. Sometimes i add a sprinkling of nutmeg powder for added flavor. |
Liftedhands:What about starting at 11weeks? |
Some tips to get rid of postpartum belly fat and get your flat tummy back... PART 1 When you have a baby, it is completely normal that you put on some weight in your body or in your belly, so don’t feel bad when your body is simply following a natural process. However, the earlier you start working on your postpartum body and belly, the easier it would be. This doesn’t mean that it is impossible to address as time goes on, but it is generally better to start early because the effort it would take to address it would be somewhat lesser. Please note that all the information and tips and products are valid for CS deliveries and vaginal deliveries. However, with CS, you just need to be sure your stitches are healed and that there is little or no pain anymore. If you are a woman who needs her belly warmed up and softened, don’t overlook the hot water compress; it works. Or you could use a hot water bag. (Please don’t get burned using very hot water. Use water that is more hot than warm but not too hot). After you compress for about 20-30 minutes with a damp cloth (make sure you touch everywhere you are not comfortable with), then you can wrap up in your Abdominal Binder or postpartum belt for the next few hours in the day or overnight. You would probably need three rounds of hot water so that as one starts to cool off, you replace it. You would definitely see results whether it has only been a few weeks since your baby or even up to 5 years after your last baby. Another way to get rid of postpartum belly fat is the traditional way we back our children. This is the secret of the village woman. She has no abdominal binder or postpartum belt. She doesn’t even know what these are. But she backs her baby every time to do her chores. That baby would be tied to her back for the next few months or so. But you see, her tying her baby on the back and tightly tying the front part of her belly to make sure the baby is firm enough is another compression opportunity we overlook. But if you are a career woman or a business woman, get a post-partum belt or binder, but also try to tie your baby in the back if you can. It helps compress your tummy and also helps you and baby bond too. And when tying, try to tie correctly. After the top wrapper around your breast, also have another one that focuses on your belly too…in all, you would need at least two pieces of clothes. To be continued... #Mothersbond |

Ijelex:It's probaby the pregnancy hormones messing with your taste buds. Here is what i do to make my tomato stew tasty which most people do already: - Add tatashe, and shombo - Add enough spice when boiling my meat - Boil my meat with very little water and some spice at first to bring out the rich stock, turn it into a bowl, and then add more spice and water to cook it thoroughly - Boil my grounded tomatoes till it becomes a paste - Make sure i don't forget to add the stock to the stew - Use fresh chicken and not the usual frozen ones they sell everywhere. I buy mine from a farm closeby |
BritneyStacy:Buy online now. I got mine from newbee.ng You can check other baby shops or jumia/konga. |
