So there's this guy, we've been very close friends for six years now. There has always been romantic feelings on my part and I used to have the tiniest bit of hope that it was mutual. This was until he started dating a mutual friend. What hurt the most was that he tried to hide it from me despite our closeness. He claims it wasn't his idea though.

Let's just say I borrowed myself brain after that or so I thought. I started avoiding him as much as I could but he wouldn't let me be. He eventually asked me point blank if I liked him and after much beating about the bush, I answered in the affirmative. Apparently, other friends of ours had had to call his attention to my crush on him cos dude was clueless, "according to him". I asked him if he felt the same way and he told me that I was like a little sister to him. Alas, I was sister-zoned. Note that the age gap between us is barely more than a year. He told me he wouldn't lose me as a friend because I was special. Why wouldn't he just let me go?
Fast forward to a year+, he broke up with the mutual friend though I remained friends with both of them. I had nothing to do with the break up o. I was more comfortable rekindling our close friendship then since there was no longer a conflict of interest. It took me almost two years to get over him so at that time, my heart had moved on to other prospective guys.

Years down the line, I had to change locations to another state. It was one he was familiar with and had and still has a lot of business dealings in. Let's just say I still get to see him a lot.

We both dated other people. I got badly burnt by my ex and he was there for me. The tough love kind. As we spoke about my ex, that was when it hit me. This guy has always and probably will always have my back. I felt so comfortable sharing details with him. I knew then that I missed him a lot. I've been wondering what could have been between us ever since then. In fact, I started referring to him as my best friend. I know it's only a matter of time before it's necessary to let go of that bond tho. He's gone get married to his true bestie one day.

The thing now his, he's changed a bit. I know this because we've been friends a long time and I know him well. The calls have been more frequent, longer, etc. He always tries to see me when he can, same with me. This has got me wondering if this is the way normal friendships between the opposite sex are. He now says things like, "You're this and that and it's probably why you have an issue with XX. You do the same to me but I've come to accept it, there's nothing I can do about it". I interpreted this as him sticking with me flaws and all.
At one of our discussions, he told me he would love to marry someone he's known for a long time and he used us as an example. I went on the defensive immediately and told him I couldn't marry him. That bothered him a lot and he didn't stop until he pressed me for a reason. I threw his question back in his face and asked him if he could marry me and he said yes. I pushed harder and asked if he would marry me (not as a proposal lol), he laughed about this. I eventually told him I couldn't marry him cos he hasn't proposed to me and I cannot propose to him. When he tried to form, "so you'll marry me if I ask you to", I just asked to drop the topic totally.

I know I'm supposed to be elated but instead I'm hurt. I feel like I've been emotionally played and I'm still being played in my best years. How can he do this now? Does he know how much it cost me to try to get over him the first time? Apparently, I never fully succeeded. He's toying with my emotions again and I believe he knows that. I wanted to remind him that he sister-zoned me but I held back. I can't do this again guys. Please, I just can't.
Do you think he now has romantic feelings for me but he's deliberately holding back. Do you think he's trying to give me hints? I'm tempted to shut this friendship down totally. Lol, this wonderful Governor wants to do over sabi. Replace them and watch them replace you in 2019. Governor Ambode needs to be realistic on this one. Danfos and okadas for now remain a necessary evil that must be tolerated until we have a Lagos State government that is smart in every ramification. Right now, we still have a Lagos State government that is very stupid in many aspects of governance, like transportation. Does the BRT ply inner cities? No! Is the BRT always available? No...to mention a few. The current BRT operational system is flawed in many aspects. In fact, it is so mismanaged or disorganized that even the danfos operational system is arguably more efficient. The current BRT system is such that ticketing queues are usually disorderly with no predefined structure of sales and arrangement - ticketers sell as they like, boarding rules are inconsistent and no predefined ETA; passengers are usually stranded at bus stops, standing for long periods of time under the sun - no waiting seats and inadequate shade; buses are over-crowded because standing is allowed and standing limits are always exceeded because there are not enough BRT buses and/or its management's greed to maximize profits at the people's expense; tickets are non-transferable - a ticket sold by the same LAMATA company via their field agents that is bought at one location can't be used at another location even though the fare has equal amount, which shows how high the level of organizational inefficiency is. BRT buses are largely inaccessible because you can only find them on major highways, which is the route made for them. But the thing is, not everyone lives along the major highways. There are several other identifiable flaws with the BRT system, and I think the governor will do well to fix these problems, instead of creating more bigger problems while trying to solve smaller problems unintelligently. Honestly, I think if APC continues like this with its anti-poor-masses system of governance, 2019 will be a total disaster for them during the elections, and they will not only lose the presidency but might lose the southwest bloc too, which would be very unfortunate. I like the futuristic goals, the illustrious modernized thinking, but whatever the case, there must be a pragmatic practical approach to doing all these things. Some ideas are only perfect on paper but not viable in practice, so there must be a balance between idealism and realism if significant progress is to be achieved. So the governor really needs to think this one through because his job is at stake. If you arbitrarily ban danfos and okadas without a proper efficiently effective replacement in place, and it backfires on the lagos poor-masses society, then he should forget re-election in 2019 as governor. He should take a cue from Buhari, because it will take the best of the bests miracle for him to win re-election in 2019 with the way things are going.

Is it not the same house-flies infested OAU hostel toilets that had feces splattered all around the walls, the floors, with scanty water supply and ancient pvc toilets and pit latrines that looked like a disease nesting ground and smelling like an open septic tank? In fact, anyone that approves of the hostel toilets conditions needs psychiatric evaluation. I know what I'm saying, and unless things have changed in recent times, well then OAU hostels are deplorably disgusting. I'm not demeaning the school, just stating facts. By Nigeria standards, it's a great campus, I'll rate it 85%; but as far as its hostels baths and toilets go, it's a ZERO % rating for me.

Seriously though, OAU authorities should be embarrassed and mercilessly scolded for the terrible state of the hostels, particularly the toilets and baths. It was just like a pig house then. Azin I seriously got mad respect for any OAU student that lived in hostel. I never could, I never did. I couldn't live there not even for a day. I hardly visited my friends there, like almost never. One time, I went to see my guy, so then stomach started to rumble and I needed to drop a load fast, as in emergency level. It happened to be my first time I would step into hostel toilet, and Jesus Christ what I saw, even the sh*t that wanted to come out ran back into my stomach like, Oga u wan drop me for here, god forbid bad tin . That was my first and last time to ever enter hostel toilet then. It was like an incubation chamber of diseases. Female hostels were worse off I think. So dirty and stinking that many girls preferred bathing outside naked, under the cover of darkness. And of course, we like to watch, like sorry I was going to Ajose hall at 4am and I missed my way, so I'm just watching you bath naked outside so my memory can come back . Them supposed flog all those useless OAU school authorities for making students live in such horrible conditions in hostels.

Many times have come when organizers clash with students because of price, the students organise themselves to forcefully enter your shows without paying a dime samething happens when you organise parties.

OAU housing is costly . Maybe you drank too much beer and you don't know what you're saying again. Spent 4 years in that school, and I lived at the quarters all through, road 7C House **. It cost me about 25K per year and living in quarters was way expensive than hostel. No diss intended but the "poor boys" lived in hostels (angola, faj, awo etc), but the "privileged" ones lived at quarters or town - and even that was relatively cheap. As in like, my friend back then around 2001 was living in town around Ede road in a very huge 3 bedroom apartment and he paid 40K per year for it. That same type of apartment in lagos was around the range of 250K per annum back then, just so you know how hella cheap housing is at Ife town. So, regarding this point, you told a complete lie.



As for school size, hell yeah, OAU is fuxking big mehn, but if you have a problem with that, then you must be one of those children that were still sucking their momma's breast up to SSS3. Sure thing it was kinda stressful sometimes walking huge distances in the boiling sun between lecture halls for the next classes but overtime you get used to it, and you're meant to get smarter and more organized to use the myriads of available shortcuts. Nobody said it's a must to walk on the pavements. Be innovative - roll over the damn grass mehn, hitchhike, take a bike...or jump in through the window of a hostel, like Mozambique or moremi. Naked girls shouting at you to get out can be a real motivation to get to where you're going quickly. So you see, getting around OAU campus makes you street smart. The school is like a military training ground - adapt or die, simple! Because there's one thing you can't take away from that school - everything is EXCESSIVE.
School size? Excessive.
Student population? Excessive.
Crazy lecturers? Excessive.
Academic excellence? Excessive.
Weather (hot/cold)? Excessive.
Strike? Excessive.

But whatever the case, overall, back then OAU was the best school ever in Nigeria. But now 2017, I guess it's debatable because of facilities mismanagement etc. Still, no matter what, one thing that is certain is that OAU will always rank among top-5 best universities in Nigeria, including private universities. They don't call it - Great Ife...great - for nothing!

Pls i will make this very brief. Since when i got married to my wife i have tried to be helpful in the home front but it seem she want to capitalize on that.

She has been doing these many times and i overlook, yesterday own got me mad which i begin thinking if marrying is bad. I came back frm work and she ask me to help her with our baby which i did; but when she came she now told me that i am going to cook the soup, which i told her it has been long i did that rather she can tell what what do - like preparing the ingredients then she will cook. Pls note i wake up everyday by 5am wash d plate, sweep the house and d outside even wash her cloth anything she can't.
Yesterday she said if i don't cook which i stood my ground, then we are going to sleep empty stomach and that was what she did.
My people pls is there any wrong i have done. I am a faithful husband, i assist her in anyway i can but she alway want me to submit to everything she says.
Pls help me with ur opinion because i am weak.

I am not surprised to see many kids are on naira land thus days, saying all types of nonsense, Nigeria is supposed to be the millitary might of West Africa as a whole, which they have not been acting as one. Now that the millitary and Navy are showing their millitary capabilities on a world stage which will technically be a good reputation on the country in every aspect even economically , no body brings in billions of dollars into a country with weak millitary force. i hope that fighter jet won't accidentally drop 3 bombs on Barrow's head like they did with the IDP camp in Maiduguri. Because it seems like that jet's windshield is so tinted black that the pilot can't see during day time sef, sote everynody cum resembke boko haram for hin ice.
