HG/Tolu,
How far,hope you guys are doing o.khuh?? just drop a word to let us know how thing are.

I rekindled my on and off relationship with the shred DVD,didn't realise how much i have missed Jillian's brand of "terrorism" till it got to point where she said with a fierce snarl ''I WANT YOU TO FEEL LIKE YOU'RE GOING TO DIE'', grin smiley If not for my burning muscles i might have doubled over in laughter.
Ciao.

starvation not good, it could be counter-productive - by lowering your metabolism.

If hungry eat, and drink more water (portion controlled meals of course )

if only I could practise what I preach undecided
GEN B,
Hi,i wish you knew me in everyday life grin cheesy,the starvation am talking about is not the kind of starvation you are imagining,all am doing is just swapping one of my mail meals with plain veggies/fruit salad and i have only done it like 5x ,as if i could keep up with it sef ,i really applaud people who starve themselves,i cant do it.If i could I'd been a light weight by now LOL.

Am good o 123 and all. I should be fully back on my routine this coming week. Moving is not easy my brother, i live upstairs so you can just imagine. You might feel its taking too long but trust me its taking my entire thinking and calculations. I had to get things fixed in the new apartment, i can use hours trying to track plumber or electrician, i pack and transport the small things, i still report and always on the move everyday of the week. So for this week the most ave been doing is stretch my muscles. God's willing this weekend should mark the end of house moving. Never mind y'all i hope you wont be tired of me wen am back. Modath and babsy and toluperf and GenB, THANKS FOR HOLDING THE FORT, we shall all get there.
HG,
Dont let the artisans get to you,they are ALL like that,but hope you are almost settled sha?.

@Modath: ok i won't taunt you with this forbidden fruit 'indomie' again grin btw, what is your height? I'm 5 ft 3.5 inches, current waist is 30.5" just to put things in perspective.
They say "he who compares himself with another is a great fool" which is why i don't do it,but i honestly thought you are between 5"6-5"7[DEPENDING ON WHO MEASURES ME} and it has given me cause for speculation but i didn't want to act like a troll but i was of the mind that "you must be very skinny" and have a lil bit of ED going on.cos the last time i was around 68-70kg in 2002,i was a 10-12 UK and very O.K .what a relief embarassed

going well my sister, im the one that is dulling as per the tread mill, ive been working outta the office all thru this week so have not had time to sort it out. Also dont know where I can get a good quality treadmill non folding type in Nigeria , any suggestions?

Portion control, im not used to it at all. I'm just generally being careful, not eating the wrong foods and all, nil soft drinks, no food after 7.30pm, e.t.c.

i feel lighter already actually which is a good thing,
You go girl, i love the new attitude.KEEP IT UP cool

^@Modath: no pressure babe, really no pressure  wink .  Yah the indomie is the same one as in naija (there are other variations but the naija indomie tastes the best), i buy it in a box of 40 cos the kids like it too. It's the regular pack though, not sure i've even seen the jumbo sold here.

When I was around 74kg I wasn't taking body measurements etc (it was only recently i started doing that) so can't say- all i know is i was def between a size 14-16 at that weight.
Dolllie,
I am in a state of semi-starvation right now and you are throwing "Indomie" in my face and i should not feel pressured,i do just half of what you do(To tell the truth;I used to do 7 days back to back,some days i even did exercise 2x in a day when i was on a strictly weight loss regime.  ) i even eat averagely more than you do give or take,but all am aiming for is just 70-72kg cos i had already peaked at 100kg so i know anything below 70kg is suicidal and i will not be able to keep up with the effort needed to maintain.i just want to lower my waist measurement(MY MAIN OBJECTIVE) to 31-32",right now its at 33.5 and i wear 14(U.K) AND HAVE BEEN SWINGING BETWEEN 76-77KG for the past year.

Gen&Barbie,
Thanks for weighing in,"ignorance is bliss"as they say. In as much as I don't deprive myself,I eat everything save fried foods and junk so its not a problem per se but am trying to get leaner for a purpose(vanity upon vanity)and the small pack just won't cut it, I will endure till I start hallucinating, LOL

Hi All,
Hope y'all doing doing great!take care of yourselves.
I am seriously craving Indomie(about a fortnight now) but cos I know its 630 cals on its own without any additives like protein and veggies,I have been giving it the snub. I have been waging a battle with my psyche on when I will crack under pressure, being strong willed is tiresome,walahi.

Well its paid off,  the result is that I've lost 1kg! I was 65kg last Sunday and now 64kg. It takes so much bleeding effort to lose even a kilo when you have not much weight left to target and so I'm really pleased and spurred on by this.
C'est tres tres bonne.

@Gen B,
Kate moss never said SLIM,she said THIN[Anorexic level thin ] and she has been severely castigated for it,don't blame her she is severely out of touch seeing she's COKED up majority of the time.

@HG,well said , all the running after buses and frequent partying will also contribute one way or the other too.

Tolu,
Hi,pls stop looking at this as a crash course,view it like a new lifestyle. Of course LIFE will get in the way more often than not,forget what's done just look for ways to make amends the next day and if you absolutely can't find time to dedicate to workout do opportunistic exercises at work.

@General house,
Where are these guys: Eja,Omotoyen,Crystal,Nonny P et al, They've been gone for too looooooooonnnnnnnnnggggggggg.

Omo T,
Our planned booking is lag-lon with a 2 hour stopover in dubai,but I intend to buy some H&C shirts for myself and some close family friends. Some folks have told me Dubai stuff(especially designer perfumes) are most often than not fake/or below western world standard but I don't really believe them cos they haven't been there and are only just parroting what "some people" have told them. Will I still pay 20% on the shirts?.

@modath: well done on the 1/2 inch loss! always encouraging to see progress. Think the weekend trigger might be a mind issue. I find myself more relaxed about my eating on saturdays esp, but usually back to the program by sunday.
Thanks for the compliment, in as much as i don't ever intend to quit strength training,i intend to focus less on it as i have found out through numerous trial and errors that cardio is MY[ME] best friend, strength training makes me firm but moderate intensity cardio is what makes me lose inches.

I managed to speak with a guy at emirate desk after holding on for 100 years. We are intending to fly emirate because we want to experience the sight&sound of Dubai and we garnered that its only 96 hrs transit(from immigration control at the airport) that we can spend without "pre-requesting" for entry visa here in Nigeria.

Travel › Re: WARNING: Possible UK Travel Chaos by modath(f): 12:56pm On Jun 29, 2011
Thanks Omo T,why now but thank God we are still at the shopping for the CHEAPEST flights stage as we intend to do lag-dxb-lon.
Do you know anything about stopovers/transit in dubai, saw something about the 96 hrs dubai transit visa but all the info I have gathered on the internet have not been precise.
I called Emirate(we are leaning seriously towards emirate) local office but the pre-recorded call pick up is annoying.
Any help from any quarters will be greaty appreciated.

Hello house,
Know you are all doing great but am baffled by the "weekend dread" though,what triggers over eating during the weekends??.
I am seeing the reward of my long cardio. Within 4 days I have lost 1/2 inch in my stomach but I am also in a semi-demi starving state. Lol.
I just do my brisk walk for 1hr as against the 30 minutes I used to do,will continue with it for the next few weeks as am in a sort of rut with my workout and stuff. Thank God for persistence. IT PAYS.

@OMOTIER,
Hi, I understand the validity starts from the 16th, it was when you asked about inconsistencies that I went to crosscheck and found the issuance and validity date difference but every other entry is precise.
Thanks.

@OMO TIER,
I applied for 6 months visiting visa and that's exactly what I got, my only observation is that my Visa is valid from 16 of this month but it was issued on the 23rd. I asked for the implication of such but I was told it doesn't have any bearing in the general scheme of things.

Seems its down time on here, everyone in weekend mode smiley enjoy o, with 'moderation' being the key word (I'm really saying this to myself as i have a busy weekend with entertaining guests etc ).

No exercise for me today. My body/muscles were aching (albeit in that good post workout way) and def calling for a rest. I've worked out 5 days in a row since sunday and quite intense some of the days, so rest i did smiley .

Happy weekend to you all!
Well done,its a well thought out and sensible plan, as for me am going on my long walk[just brisk,no run/jog allowed] tommorrow and i haven't been on one for about 3 months.i just want to do some long cardio [HOPEFULLY] to maybe shed some weight[am also switching one of my main meals to plain grass tongue] in the next few weeks. i have been given permission by mama charlie's reps in naija to visit her kingdom and woman pikin wan look FAB in the pictures. grin cheesy ABI E NO GOODhuh??
