Sometimes I wonder the monsters always commenting the woman should stop speaking up and keep silent. For God's sake, I cannot have the chills that woman has, if something like that is done to my child, I would have angrily severely hurt everyone involved in a very bad way.

I really pity the woman, and it shows how bad our Nigerians are, I never knew a reasonable person would read what happened to the child and feel nothing.
Just like enemy of progress and children of evil came in masses to say there was no killing in lekki shooting, they are also here to use all means possible to change the story and destroy the woman and the innocent boy.

Wow im actually suprised you came to this conclusion from just what she said!

Have u ever seat back and think of who will take care of the teeming masses that can afford to move in terms of medical requirements?

why are we like this in this country now?

This is an opinionated topic, and i think we are not fair on her- we cant conclude that shes from a rich family... based on what data? do u know what it takes to manage an ordinary maternity home in this country?

Do u know the high rate of motality?

This is very bad!

You mentioned the govt! are these pple aliens?

Govt is made up you and me o....
I'm 100% sure she's from a rich family.
Having lived in the North, poor people don't send their female children to school, only rich class can afford good private schools for their children in primary/secondary schools to pass waec and jamb. In public schools, they can't even speak English after graduation, are they the one that will study medicine?
That girl had car since teenagehood

Second twitter responder is wrong. Choosing to remain in Nigeria isn’t dependant on affluence. I have personal experience of this. We've brought over to the Uk several distant relations that live poorly (as poor as majority that live poorly in Nigeria) and they have not liked Britain at all. They all returned. One of them had the option of marrying someone in order to remain in Uk, she too declined and returned to Nigeria. Reading articles by Nigerians complaining of Nigeria and calling Nigeria hell and giving the impression that abroad is heaven, I sometimes wonder if I’m the only Nigerian whose relatives are totally uninterested in Abroad.
You are lying bros, or you don't know the meaning of poverty. If your relatives cannot feed and no shelter in Nigeria, I bet my life, them no go step Nigeria again. Its like you people don't even know the rate at which Nigerians are poor, some people are working day in day out,but still can't feed their family. One man I know is a dry cleaner with 2children, he works tirelessly, they still don't have near proper home, they are suffering. So that one would go to America and put the same effort, see more money come back Nigeria? Not possible

That lady is a liar. She’s just seeking attention to make herself sound patriotic. What opportunity to work in Canada was she on about?

Has she taken the Canadian medical board certification exam? No she hasn’t. If she has passed it, do you think she’d be on social media bragging about working in Nigeria?
She's just looking for attention, and I'm sure she never had any chance to go to any abroad, most girls in the North that did medicine can never hope to travel abroad because there's no reason to. 1. They get paid in medical schools, 2. Tuition is free, 3. They are married since age 15
4. They have a house, personal car and drivers since age 15
5. They have a maid already, they have a house etc
Why will they need to go abroad, tell me

I was actually thinking of creating a thread on this.

What exactly do people mean by "stay back or return back to contribute to the country"?

It's easy for this lady as she's a doctor.. she feels content and comfortable even though her wages and living conditions are quite substandard compared to her counterparts in other countries...

she's a typical Nigerian who has the thought process of 'as long as I'm comfortable, everyone else can go to hell' ...

..what about millions of Nigerian youths who studied other courses in uni and haven't been able to get a job? Young people wasting away with no hope for the future..
They should all start businesses right? What businesses if I may ask? Hair dressing, poultry, small chops and farming? The government has no plans for the future of its youths.

Those who believe that it is the citizen's job to fix Nigeria, please what is our government there for? what is their responsibility?
Thanks dear, having lived in the North, when you see a female medical doctor, my dear no be from near poor family o, them rich die. These people never visited the kitchen, they would have married since 15years, with a maid, in an extremely beautiful house, with everything they would ever need, they will have cars and drivers to take them to university and back, all medical students are collecting salary, their tuition fee is free, after graduating, they don't suffer to look for any job, they have it already. I know many of them in medical school, specifically Usman danfodio, now tell me why they need to go to Canada?
They already had everything since teenage years, house, cars, marriage, and many things we aspire for as a youth. Ask their father the source of the income and you will see that many of them are just the brother to a governor, councillor, and are in various political offices.
The money that should have circulated the entire country is in the pocket of some people. These people do not struggle like the rest of us, the poor people in the North don't send their female children to schools, not to tall of studying medicine.

Mastering something like photography takes years. Two months , you’ll learn a lot but you can never master anything to a level of a real professional photographer...

Good luck.
I know I can't master and become a professional within a short period, I'm planning to travel soon so I just want to learn it for people who would be taking shots just for their little online business start up, Instagram pictures etc. Then gradually would be improving my skills in my new country as I take pictures for people, and I'm planning to buy a very high end Camera, with minimum cost of $2500.

Pictures Please

Lovely heart warming story, pictures would be the icing in the cake.

If it was Nollywood film, she would have poisoned that Akara or used one of the boys for sacrifice so she can have children but the children will end up wayward then one day before the end of the movie she will confess then run mad and die

So the moral of the story is: Don't allow Nollywood deceive you, not everybody is evil, not everybody is a witch or wizard out to get you no matter their age, gender or tribe.

Let love lead. Mama now has a large family, larger than her biological family, to me it's an economically friendly familythink about it she didn't have to do much for them just small acts of kindness and they remembered her. She didn't give birth to them, pay for school fees etc

I even prefer this type of family more because it's more economical and due to distance and time apart you people grow fonder than the family you get to see everyday which you end up fighting more with

So You what little acts of kindness are you doing? No be to dey curse people from morning till night oh

Please do good.
My brother, you are right. The way some nolywood movies portray people that have weaknesses ehn, especially people without children are usually termed as witches, old people as witches, sister in-laws must dislike wife's, wife's must hate her mother in-law etc

But I don't blame them, that's what an average Nigerian over the ages of 50 believe and want to watch, so they feed their customers wishes

How can I help my cousin. She feels she's odd, sees herself as not normal, she's just 19, just entering 400 level in the university.

The whole thing started when my cousin came to our house with her two friends from university, her classmates. The two friends were talking with my sister, and they were saying they are helping her by coming close to her as no one wants to come close to her. They said, they were the one that fight for her whenever they bully her in school and what annoyed me in their statement is that, they are not her friends and can't be her friends but her Aunty. These two girls treat my cousin like a nobody, in fact, they would put dumb in her name, e.g, where is that dumb girl

Let me tell you a little about her childhood
Her mum left her in Nigeria when she was 1year old with her dad, Aunt and grandmother. She went to work in another country because at that time, things weren't going well for my uncle, and her wife is a nurse, saw opportunity to travel abroad to work, had to leave her baby(my 19years old cousin) with her husband, mum and sister. So basically, those are the people that brought my cousin up. She was a beautiful baby, and every sane person would pity her because her mum left her,she would be sick and cry and thus, her mistakes were usually ignored by most people while growing up. Her mum would spend 3months in Nigeria, then go back every year, she calls her husband every day, they are usually doing video calls, so as for me, I feel she's only physically absent but always virtually present with her family. They plan what to eat daily together, what to wear, they do almost everything together.

Now 19years later,
She feels very less of herself because every of her classmates complains about her that she makes lots of mistakes.
For instance, yesterday, she wanted to clean her feet but ended up wounding herself, some days earlier, she skipped a staircase and sprained her ankle.
In addition to all these, she forgets instructions easily(not her books, she's brilliant), for example, she finished eating my food and forgot to replace it after telling her to help put another one in fridge if she knows she would finish the food and my sister also complained about her behaviour alot (we are all in my sisters house, she's been here for 3weeks and I've been with them for close to 2weeks now).
My sister would complain she talks alot, like she says what shes not asked, for example, the AC got spoilt one day, and she went ahead to tell the husband immediately he entered, without pre-informing my sister, and the husband was angry, not knowing why hubby was angry. And my sister told me, that is how my cousin behaves and she has committed lots of related offences.

HER VIEW ABOUT HERSELF
My cousin herself told me she walks like a robot, she doesn't know how to do anything, she talks too much, whenever she wanted to act like her peers, she would not do it the way they did it and do it stupidly. She eats too much, she acts like a baby, her stomach is not fine e.t.c
She believes every complain anyone makes of her
She blames her parents for over pampering her while she was younger and that her father spoilt her and that's why she always the odd one in her classes and everywhere she gets to, people would notice she's odd
She told me about when she was in 100level to 300level how everyone do bully her and abuse her that she acts like a baby, talk too much, laugh awkwardly. She said she still has the mind of a child. She told me her friends/classmates do run away from her whenever they sight her coming,
and no one wants to even be her friends or play with her

What she told me yesterday that almost made me cry was that she once felt like committing suicide or entering the wall where she won't exist no more. She told me If she has her child, she would teach her stuffs at the right times that what she is supposed to have known while young is what she's now knowing at later ages.

My sister's view(they attended thesame university)
My sister complains alot about her, she walks awkwardly, forgets instructions easily, she plays too much, and that if not she was her cousin, she would also be dodging her when sighted, she said my cousin would be forcing herself on people, for instance, when she sees someone they did physics class together, my cousin can shout her name at distance, hug the person, even though the person is giving her attitude. Like she embarrasses people and that she can request money and favours from people she's just meeting e.t.c

My own view
I see absolutely nothing wrong with her. My cousin is very nice and very respectful, she offers her prayers at the right times, pray for her parents, always willing to be a good girl. She doesn't change face when she's been asked to do a task, admits her wrongs easily and hope not to commit same.
She's a free person, she can play with anyone, and start discussion with strangers(people abuse her with this and run away from her because of this behaviour), she doesn't feel shy at all, she doesn't get angry and keep malice, she's extreme extrovert.
Its true she makes mistakes, but I don't see it as a big deal, about walking like robots,I don't see any bad in how she walks, in fact, I don't know the meaning of someone walking like a robot.

I'm tired of trying to convince her that nothing is wrong with her,and that its because she's still young and normal and that she makes mistakes because she fears making mistakes. I have explained everything to her, but she's 100% convinced she's odd.
It makes me feel sad because I will never say bad things to anyone like her friends/classmates are doing to her, I'm very introverted and a very strong hearted girl so I don't feel bad when people abuse me or believe anyone's trash. I also graduated at age 19, with older people in my class, and they can never ride me and I only respect people that respect themselves, I can never call anyone anty/boda for any reason but my cousin would be over respecting her classmates and they would in turn be bullying her, and she believes all the abuse and words.

How can I make her disbelieve people whenever they make complaints about her

Then no buy market. If the boy reported to the authority and they did nothing then I ll second. Six years in boarding school, infact a government secondary school, I never gave any senior the opportunity to maltreat me. U slap me, I go straight to the no nonsense house master and report. He punished them mercilessly, you give me better beating, I go straight to the principal office. Assembly beating is your lot and if extreme, the are suspended. I was a kid with guts, hated by all the seniors but could not do a thing to me cos I held them by their balls. They threatened him and he yielded. Either ways how the management handle the case after it was revealed determined if the school is safe for. Kids.
People like you are the reason why I know Nigeria cannot be better, look at the trash you spewed. So because you were able to fight your seniors and the innocent boy wasn't strong enough means its no big deal? Did God create your fingers equally? Are we equal in strength? Both emotional and physical?

And how can a single person fight 10people and win them? Also, they are his seniors, You were lucky to have your master a good person, some people don't have such understanding master

In fact, you need treatment

This woman is very courageous. I watched this video to the full.. She's the kind of woman that fights for her children! God bless you madam. May your son get justice. This is the kind of woman that will deal with her husband if he molests housegirl or children, unlike those fools that cover up their useless molesters husband.
I cried watching the video, only if all mothers were to be like that this world would be better.
The children molesting her son were once a victim as well, but their parents cared less and thus, they repeat the same on children below them.
I'm so happy to see Nigerian woman fighting for her child. That boy is blessed with the best mother

EducationRe: I Regret Going To The University by ModestGal(f): 8:40am On Dec 31, 2020
Biggie225:
The education system, that is supposed to teach young people fundamental facts and skills in order to allow them to deal properly with reality, is unfortunately also heavily used to indoctrinate the young to be passive, to not question authority, and to trust the government and their experts on TV without question.

The education system is often used as a filter to weed out the free-thinkers, rebels, “unconventionals” and promote the passive, conventional and compliant ones to the next level.

Students are compelled to believe everything the teacher says, without verification. The words of the education system became the guiding truth for youngsters. Usually, schools have unwritten rules regarding specific subjects that cannot be discussed. Some topics are illogically labeled as vulgar or foolish, and those who have interest in those subjects are often publicly ridiculed.

They condition student to believe that failure to submit to the system will have serious consequences. No employment, poverty, and no future.

Also, the quality of education that is available to the lower social classes is reduced most of the time, which contributes to a gradual increase in the gap that exists between lower classes and the elite.

Like Most popular and wealthy figures such as Zukerberg, Jark Dorsey, Bezos, C Ronaldo, Messi, Micheal Jordan, Michael Jackson, and Maradona etc. Non of these figures can boast of university degree but they had the courage to pursue their path to greatness with their natural instinct. Today all are legends in their own path.
Education is overrated

Ever since realize that life has no central formular or rules. I created the life I want and with apologies.

Bleep the world and Discover yourself.

I agree with the writer, I won't say I regret going to the University, but truth is that going there for me is a complete waste of 4years

And yes, we've been lied to by both our parents and the society, their definition of the purpose of schooling is so wrong.
My learning comes mostly from the experience while in schools, including secondary, and very few from the classroom
