Hmmn, tears filled my eyes for UWA. RIP girl But I'm still wondering how no one saw it in a day time, and is it possible that it was only UWA in the church? What type of Church is the church? By now, I think many people should be behind bars already, when they arrest every, someone would talk |
Angelfrost:Okay that cracks me up. I absolutely agree with you, care was never taken and thus we are in this mess |
I belong to the minorities in Nigeria who doesn't think the problem we have is caused by the leaders/politicians. But I do believe the problem is caused by NIGERIANS, the people, starting from our fore fathers who have done nothing to make our society grow but to hold on to useless beliefs, traditions, fairies, tales that makes our people backward. The leaders are Nigerians, and no matter how they have looted the country or harmed us, it is a result of a failed society who failed to raise people who care for growth. Have you ever asked yourself why is it that African leaders are thesame? If the incumbent leader should die, or leave office, another thief/looter/inefficient person would be there, this would continue until we as people realise the root of the problem, which is the society that is raising them. Even if a youth should get to office today, same would be repeated because the problem is deep, it is in the psyche of the black people. Check this thread and you will see how Nigerians are proud to CURSE on Nigeria, or how the majority of Nigerians do not care for it to grow. You should know that whatever bad you experience in Nigeria today is caused by your forefathers that failed to do something about it, that felt unconcerned and just for their selfish growth. Same would happen to your unborn generations and they would curse on you if they meet the country like this.. It is the fault of our fore fathers why Nigeria is this way, it is our fault why it would remain this way for our unborn generation if we fail to act right. ............ Africa culture is beautiful, but the culture of judging others is not Africa culture is beautiful, but the culture of looking down on others who might be lower than us interms of behaviour is not, if you can't help someone who is a PROSTITUTE, don't gossip them and even abuse them they are one because you don't know their story Africa culture is beautiful, but the culture of looking down on other cultures and everyone proofing theirs is best is not African culture is good, but the culture of staying silent during injustice to another person because of loyalty to rich/powerful person is not Africa culture is beautiful, but the culture of I cannot come and die when people are standing out for a a just cause and you chose to remain silent |
Ok |
uuzba:Exactly, Africa may experience the worst hit if care is not taken. Let's keep watching |
rawpadgin:I will keep thus for you when your unborn generation ask why Nigeria is so worse, I will tell him people like his father do not care to make the country better and thus he met it that way. Just like the fore fathers never cared, you met it this way |

RealMrNigerD:I do not understand you Edited and taken off |
If shes ready to speak up after 150years, let her speak up. If its after 200years let her speak up. A girl should be allowed to speak up whenever she feels comfortable. Its a pity that in the 21st century, we still need to educate Nigerians on this, well we would continue to do that. There are several types of rape victims, and some ladies would never be raped because of the type of parents, age, maturity, education, skills meanwhile, there are vulnerable people/ladies. WHY SOME LADIES MAY NOT SPEAK UP 1. Parental factor: Some people have bad parents or let me say judgy parents, they fear their parent so much that they won't be able to voice out for them. Meanwhile, their are even some other people without parents who live with a wicked aunt, uncles, or an old grandmother, grandfather or a sick parent 2. Phobia/self blame: Since we live in a judgy society, many girls would blame themselves for being raped, for instance, maybe a girl that has been warned by her parents not to travel out of her university area, meanwhile out of wanting to have fun, traveled from Ekiti state to Lagos state, and unfortunately, she was raped. This girl would continuously blame herself and thus would not feel confident to report such a rape case 3. Bad friends: Some people really value their friends opinion and not all of us are lucky to have good lovely friends, these kind of people already know how much their friends would make fun of them and thus would choose to keep quiet. These are usually people at their teen age 4.Low IQ: Our IQ naturally differ, some people would be so much consumed with fear that they would not even know its right for them to speak up, especially when the rape is not a brutal one and maybe it takes few minutes 5. Depression: Some people are already in depression, life is meaningless to them, and they would even wish they died at the time of rape because they feel useless and don't even think they have a purpose in life 6.Age: Small children may not even remember to tell their parents, or even during the time they want to tell their parents, their parents would not want to listen, and if the rape is not brutal, they might even forget it and play away 7. Status of Abuser: when abusers are pastors, Imams, Alfas, Teachers and other well respected people in the society, victims may feel she won't be believed or the abuser might lie to her that no one would believe her (which is indeed true if she lives around people like Nairaland rape apologists), this may make the victim not report 8. Sympathy: Some people are extremely sympathetic, especially girls, some victims would beg them and even buy gifts for them, become extremely nice just for the child not to report. These children/ladies are human too and thus might fail to report. And sometimes, the abuser might be the Ladies girlfriend that she loves so much, and from there feel pity for him and even give excuse for him and thereby keep quiet. 9. A wife: Some people are married, and they would be too afraid to speak out of a rape case, especially when its a church that her husband has warned her not to attend, or a friend her husband doesn't like or she fears to loose her husband/boyfriend 10. Poverty: Poor people are naturally weak to speak out when cheated In all these situations, it is no reason for a female to keep quiet whenever she feels confident and comfortable to talk. A lady should speak up no matter how long the incidence has taken place because as she speaks out, she would be healed no matter how little.. Its like getting robbed and seeing the theif but you are told that because its a long time ago, you should forget it Many of you males apologist, have you ever asked your mothers if she was raped before? If you are a girl reading this and you are in this shoe, please know that it is okay to keep quiet till you are comfortable, don't go and force yourself to speak that the shame would make you commit suicide. Make sure its a time you are comfortable with and you are around lovely people who would understand you. Reach out for help and stay close with positive people. Gain your confidence by reading survivor stories like Opra Winifred, etc. Read stories like R Kelly stories and gain your happiness by the fact that he would rot in jail and justice was served. Understand that its not your fault but the fact that you are a Nigerian, with many apologist monsters in our society. Whether it's a physically painful rape or not, whether its 5minites or 5hours, so far you said NO and he forced you made it a CRIME and you are right in all ways, stop blaming yourself and walk towards recovery and healing. |
ityP:Not if we have people that are ready to make Nigeria great again like myself. Justice would be served, may not be now, but some of us will not rest until we help rape victims get justice |
Sterope:He would be definitely or an apologist, see how Nairalanders are supporting him, this shows how much rapist we have in Nigeria and rapist apologists. And how the society support rape. If a girl is raped, she has all the right to speak up whenever she feels comfortable, speaking up is not easy for victims depending on their age, friends, confidence, parents or the abuser, there's usually fear, confusion, depression on victims. We are in the process of teaching girls to be able to speak up by supporting them and giving them confidence. Most of these people speaking up now is because they are grown and matured enough that they already feel so loved and they know they have nothing to loose, and they do not fear people that would judge them. For instance, Busola is already in a happy marriage, maybe well loved by her husband, she has discussed with her husband abs she trust him, she cant be compared with a young lady of 20years old from a judgy parents and who lives with people like Nairaland rape apologist monsters, and with friends who would laugh off her like the girls on this thread, with a jealous boyfriend who would call her a harlot immediately. And when I see female rape apologist, I just smiled and understand na them'' useless females that are even the ones that would make jest of a raped friend, they are the one that have decided to be slaves for their boyfriend and when their friends refuses to be used like a slave, they mock her. This morning, I was still talking to a woman that turned herself to a slave, shes constantly being beaten and maltreated, and she was abusing another lady for not enduring maltreatment saying all men are thesame that whoever she marries would still beat her even more than her prior husband, and thus she's at fault for not enduring. Sometimes I cry for Nairalanders, people of this mindset are the reasons we have high rape in the country and the reason Africa is backward in everything because their thinking is backward |
Proximo73:You are right. The problem is not just starting today, the African tradition places females to either do well in protecting themselves or face rape. So if a woman dresses or walk where she shouldn't, rape is justified. You will receive lots of bashing on this thread because people like us are few in Nigeria. But once you and I is existing, then you should know that this country has hope. Because we would build more people like us. |
Proximo73:I agree with you |
donbachi:People that spoilt Nigeria and make us live in frustration today. Anyway, I will forgive his likes when Nigeria becomes better |
chrisagyei:Together with educated illiterates |
Police without training They are not even fit Without gun Without intelligence, No surveillance camera It is well with this country |
stanliwise:When their are equally corrupt, lazy, unintelligent candidate from all parties? What should we do? When educated people do not vote? When we are more racist than white supremacist in America and our people are okay with being racist, and every Nigerian celebrate racism because racism is part of all Nigerian cultures, thus even if a good candidate should emerge from a tribe, he surely won't win When the people (Nigerians) are religious bigots and fanatics including those practicing traditional religions, that any candidate that emerge would surely be bigot as well, and people voting are bigots My dear sir, the problem is not the politician, the problem of Nigeria is the PEOPLE |
yyba:Ewo lepe! |
brainfordetails:Exactly |
Etoo:See you, no be old students wey get money go help them school? Abi old student who remember something good about his school. Nigeria is a messed up country with messed up people jor |

Hmnn, this is my own story I understand you op, I have been in a similar situation, its difficult especially in this Nigeria that its difficult to get a partner. Sometimes, I wonder if I would ever get someone if my fiancee is not more in the picture to love, I found out, there's high chance I don't. Guys of today are alcoholic or have tasted alcohol in one point of their life, the Muslims that do not take alcohol are usually senselessly religious and think backward, the few ones with good judgement is already taken because of course, they would be in true love. No one would leave an Angel And there come a time my fiancee mum told him he was AS, we were both shocked because the result with him was AA, but the mum told him she knew what she gave birth to. We got to know that there was a mistake in the genotype by the reputable lap he did it from. This is a relationship that is already very long, and at the beginning we asked each other, I told him I can't remember mine, he affirms his own is AA, so I had no problem. I kept postponing doing my genotype for more than 2years, since I know my partner is AA. And Alas, he was gisting with his mum and mum told him his AS. When he called me to relate this news to me, I cried so much. Then I started to be so fearful of doing genotype test, I kept postponing, I was in denial of his mum's claim, then one day sha, I put on courage and went to do the test. After the third day, I received a shocking test result, Whew I was an AA The humiliation for that week no be here, I cried, I laughed, I rolled on floor out of happiness. What a wonderful God is he, so I really do not blame op But I'm sorry to tell you that the story above is a fairy tale, not true. Now that I got your attention, check my signature and contact me for your Graphics and social media needs. Thanks as you patronize |

Kweensavvy:Let me see it please |
