I'm not gonna lie...I miss Nigeria sometimes which makes me flirt with the idea of splitting my time there when my kids are older. I miss my family, my friends and the sense of community.

But then I remember lack of internet and electricity, horrific healthcare system, bad roads, bigotry, lack of value for human life, insecurity, police brutality, immense corruption, tribalism, crumbling or non-existent economy and a million other horrible things. This quickly resets my mind.

My solution which I'm currently working on is to bring my sisters and my best friend over to live in Sydney with me and make good living for themselves. Then I won't have any business with Nigeria anymore except to visit my parents every two years.

So to answer your question: no, nein, never!!!
I want to be your friend. I can keep you company and give you a sense of community. I sabi amebo too. grin

I can see you're still missing the point I'm trying to make. You see it like I'm trying to show that I'm better than you with English while ignoring the bone of contention.
I want to let you know that-
1. It makes no sense to generalize or stereotype a tribe (your own tribe in this case) simply because of the bad experience you've gotten from the few people you met from that tribe.
2. You haven't met "ALL" Igala girls, and trust me, you haven't even met the "MAJORITY" of Igala girls, so how did you arrive at your conclusion?
3. The attitude or character of the so called Ele-ojo which the OP couldn't even spell is something that can be found in girls from any tribe.
4. How are you even sure that Ele-ojo even accepted to date the guy cos I have seen where guys just approach a lady they like and no matter what her response was to them, they'll begin to see such lady as their woman and continue calling and sending texts even when the lady in question is yet to or didn't accept their proposal (I'm talking about guys dating themselves without knowing the other partner doesn't have their time).
5. Nairaland has become so boring ever since Igbos, Yorubas and Hausas succeeded in dividing it along tribal lines and so, to further raise the bars of tribalism will cause more harm.

6. Finally and once again, your writing skills is not what I'm out to criticize, I only used that as an instance to make you understand that every human being or perhaps tribe, have one reason or the other to be criticized due to the imperfect nature of man so no good or bad attitude is peculiar to one person or one tribe.
Wòla odudu òmaye.

Wòla odudu sir. Ah, i see. cheesy

So can I say that Igala people are illiterates since you are an Igala by tribe and couldn't write and punctuate your sentences properly?
Corrections-
1.You are not an Igala, rather you are an Igala by tribe or an Igala man.
2. Not and I'll tell you this. It's "and I'll tell you this," - that is, a comma(,) should come after "this" and not a period(.).

Don't forget to check my signature.
If you have been meeting Igala girls who aren't romantic then check yourself and be sure you aren't suffering from low self esteem because I don't see why you would choose to generalize something like this.
Good day!

Thanks for the corrections, the use of punctuations has always been an issue for me. But don't you think you should've used periods(.) On both your signature and personal texts? And No, my self-esteem has got nothing to do with how romantic or unromantic the igala girls I've been with were.

Yeah, GCam takes photography to a different level.

Lemme whet your appetite with these few GCam shots

All the non hausas i met there, south-westerners which was expected and easterners (never expected to meet them there) all speak hausa, their children goes to school in hijab, play with hijab, sleep with hijab. All because dey wanna feel among and worst of it, condition of living isn't that rosy.

God abeg no make me dey suffer for another land wey dem no send me. And help those in their misery.

Liar! I'm a Christian. Born and breed in Kano. What do y'all gain from spreading falsehood?

4.89cgpa in the Department of Geological science, Federal University Gusau?

Impressive and Congratulations bruv.

But in all honesty, a graduate with 5.00Gp from such department in your school is equal to a 1.5Gp graduate of any Engineering department in Universities like, Futo, UI, OAU, Uniben, Uniport, UniLag, UNN, Unizik, UniIlorin and Unijos.

This is me telling you the truth.

And please, if you are a graduate or student of IMSU and you expected me to call your School.....You are MAD!!
The institutions you mentioned above are living on past glory and sheer popularity. Schools that a lecturer would only lecture his students once or twice a month and at the end of the semester would only pass the students that bought his handouts at exorbitant prices and paid bribes.
Look here, You need to stop this stereotypical attitude, The schools in the north are doing far above y'all rate them. These institutions do not condone the nonsense that is being meted out by lecturers in your schools. And this young mans feat is well deserved. He's only lucky to have graduated from a less sadistic institution.

Education / Re: Is This True About First Class Students? by modextus(m): 9:06am On Oct 17, 2019
Here's the thing. Most assholes during my undergraduate class always thought people with better grades were crammers. But that's not true. Not every lecturer likes crammers and not every course can be passed by cramming. To me, cramming is a study skill that can be applied together with understanding and philosophising. To be on a safer side know when to cram, the kind of courses that requires cramming and the lecturers that likes or does not like cramming.

1. Those phones aren't decent. They are useless pieces of crap which no regulatory body had certified Okay.

2. Those phones are made in China but dare not be sold in China. They would be prosecuted for breach in standardisation laws.

3. Tecno, Infinix and Itel as well as their substandard products aren't doing Nigerians a favour, we are rather victims of their greed.

What is stopping Tecno from offering us what xiaomi offers even if it's slightly higher?

Over the next few weeks, I'll be buying some Xiaomi products and sending to my folks. Those using Tecno would see it and cry.
