Its only in a shi.ty country like naija that when a kid says he would love to be a firefighter when he is of age, people would go like "Does he really know what he is saying? There are better jobs/careers out there he cld choose from".

In developed nations, firefighters are highly regarded cos aside the fact that they are doing their job, they are heroes; putting their lives on the line to save others. Sometimes they are even rewarded with national awards for their bravery.

Saw fighters in Owerri once, returning from a fire "quenching" operation, those dudes got swag though, walking with pride cos they know the dangers involved in their job.

If Kunle's son wants to be a firefighter, all his dad can do is encourage him, its an honourable career.

BTW, hope as he grows, girls and beer won't make him forget he wants to be a firefighter.
