Freestainworld: Where was the gas deposit discovered? You will find out, it will be in the southern region, but when gold which the north is mining now was discovered, they kept it to themselves, till today apart from northern states, no other state is benefiting from gold, hypocrisy. The whole of Borno State is sitting under huge gas reserve, but that won't be tapped for now. |

Proadroit: Classic beer palor talk, blaming twitter for insecurity, what and who will you blame for the killings in oyo state just a day after oyo state governor stood in solidarity against twitter ban? I am sure you've never uttered a word to complain about these killings, but to you, its twitter that was used to cause unrest in the east. People were killed in Benue state but you small thinkers are made to forget about these attrocities and heap blames on people in the south east who are now by the way getting framed, arrested and killed without any form of investigation as being esn members. They want you to believe esn are responsible for the attack on security officers but ask yourself how is it possible for a police headquarters to be burnt down without any reinforcement to catch the perpetrators in the act? No one was caught in the act of destroying security facilities but your kind was quick to put the blame on esn, now guess what, every young male in the east is officially an esn member to the dumb police men who now go about picking up any male they see and frame them up. This long epistle is very unnecessary, but let me save you the stress. Have you ever seen twitter raising fund for a cause in any country, either good or bad? Let me see it if there's one. But in the midst of endsars uprising, when things were clearly getting out of hand, with hoodlums invading prisons and setting suspects free, jack of twitter initiated fundraising for the sustenance of that carnage. What is twitter's business with the internal affairs of Nigeria if I may ask? Can we continue to assume that they're just a neutral social media platform? |

They broke Nigeria's rules by allowing subversive elements fan the flames of conflict in Nigeria, by using their platform to direct attacks on security agents and soldiers, which vividly, is more than the so called US capitol insurrection that led to the suspension of Trump's account. |

tamdun: Nop, Lagos state comprise Lagos Ikeja Badagry Epe Ikorodu, the op isn't talking about Lagos state but Lagos city Well, that wasn't explicitly stated in the write-up. Be that as it may, those places you mentioned host a substantial number of people we see in Lagos City during the day. In Abuja, for instance, during the day, you see a very large number of people within the Central Business District (CBD) going about their various businesses, but you can't use them to conclude that what you see is the population of the CBD. This is because, by evening, most of them (approx 80%) will start leaving the CBD to the Urban areas, such as Kubwa, Karu, Lugbe, some to even as far as Nasarawa etc. So by this, you cannot segregate the population of the City Centre from that of the Urban towns, because Abuja is a Megalopolis, just like Lagos. Or is Lagos not a Megalopolis? |

SouthEastFacts: I have been to Kano city.
Both Lagos city and Onitsha is more populated but Kano State is more populated than Anambra while Lagos state is more populated than Kano and Anambra States combined. Okay, let's break it down this way, how many percent of Kano have you toured compared to Lagos and Onitsha, bearing in mind that Kano City comprises only 6 out of the 44 LGAs in the State? |
Travel › Re: Nigeria's Largest Built-up Urban Areas In 2021 - Demographia by modsfucker: 12:41pm On Jun 15, 2021 |
theTranslator: Your words were without reasoning And didn't you say this? If you don't understand what I wrote up there, why don't you consult Google? Nonetheless, let me come down a bit to your level. If you take a look at an average street in Lagos, it is roamed by fairly 50% men and 50% women, but that's not the case with Kano City.. Most of our women are indoors, that's why you have this illusion of a sparse Kano. By the time we ask all our women to also come out, you'd see the difference. Secondly, Lagos is inhabited mostly by outsiders, to the extent that some people are even laying claims om Lagos (Igbos). By the time every Lagos resident is asked to go back to his State, you'd see the difference. You and I know that Southerners from all walks of life view Lagos as a Paradise of some sort, and aspire to eventually relocate to Lagos, at some point in their lives. We equally have a substantial part of Lagos population as foreigners, both from neighboring Countries and other non-African States.... So coming from what I said above, if everyone would be asked to go back to his father's house, how many people do you think will remain in Lagos? |

Lagos will dwarf your Kano not to even mention Lagos Island.
Onitsha is far more populated than Kano city, FACTS. Onitsha can be more populated than Kano city agreed, but you should refer to my earlier comment, that Kano city comprises only 6 out of the 44 LGAs, with each of the remaining 38 LGAs boasting of a population relatively close to those at the Metropolis... Urban LGAs, that's where our strength lies... Visit and tour Kano, you'd understand better. |

theTranslator: Do you know that they are talking about Lagos city in Lagos state? They don't need to mention it, Lagos is a Megalopolis we all know that, while other States mentioned are not. Besides, if you calculate the quoted Lagos population against the Landmass, you'll arrive at a population density similar to that of Lagos, anything short of that will give you an unrealistic population density. |
Travel › Re: Nigeria's Largest Built-up Urban Areas In 2021 - Demographia by modsfucker: 11:54am On Jun 15, 2021 |
Nonsense comparison between Kano and Lagos... Whenever they say Lagos, it's the entire Lagos, because Lagos is a Megalopolis, but when they say Kano, they mean the Kano City which comprises only 6 out of the 44 LGAs in the State.
Those outside LGAs are by far more populated than the Metropolitan LGAs multiple times... Besides, Lagos is to a large extent populated by outsiders, both from other States and neighboring Countries, while Kano is not.
The earlier Yorubas get this into their skull the better for them.
